My usual order is volcano chicken, quinoa, cucumbers, tomatoes and tzatziki. If I want even lighter calories, I'll sub the tzatziki for corn. This is a super healthy meal and one of the best things you can get in a food court for a decent price. It's very filling and I can't even finish the mini in one sitting. I appreciate how they're super generous on the toppings and the chicken is always cooked just right and still juicy. Oh and the volcano chicken is not even that spicy. So it's tolerable if you can't handle spice. It's a great serving of protein (cuz of the chicken and quinoa) and I don't feel crappy after eating it. The staff was very polite & provided a tasting of two of their chicken flavours. Both were good. Meal came with 3 pieces of real chicken on a bed of lettuce the. I remembered that the Boardwalk Fries Burgers Shake location in Scarborough that I had visited months ago offered milkshakes. I also remembered this Boardwalk location in Markham. It used to be South St. Burger. Markham used to have two locations. It now has zero, which is a downer. I came here at nearly 9 pm. There were lots of parking spots. I pulled into one and entered the store. The Boardwalk is a combo store with Lava Grill. There is one entrance for both eateries. I walked in. There was a couple enjoying a meal. I was the only person at the order area, which is shared between the two eateries. It took a while for the man at Boardwalk to come over. He was making burgers. I ordered these items: - Strawberry shake without whipped cream - Dubai chocolate brownie I paid with a credit card. Done. Communication is an issue here. This man continued making burgers and fries. He didn't let me know how long it would take to make my order. I wasn't in a rush, but I didn't know that it would take fifteen minutes for two folks to try and make my milkshake. I did like that the press for the burgers automatically came down on the patties and had a timer. I also watched fries go into hot oil and the basket automatically come up once the fries were done. It was also on a timer. I noticed that burger man got Lava guy to make my shake. They both went into the back. Burger man came back to assemble the burgers. Lava guy was still in the back. My guess was that there was some issue making my shake. Again, I got no communication until Lava guy came out to look at my order and told me it would be two minutes. Um, sure. I didn't believe it. I was right. I decided to sit down. Burger guy had finished making the burgers. He went outside. He came back in. His first communication to me was two fingers up in the area. Two minutes or victory?! Five minutes later, I saw a shake come out from the back. Lava guy was holding it. Lava guy took a box with a brownie and packed it in a paper bag. I got a napkin, a fork, and a spoon. He handed me a pretty strawberry shake and my paper bag. I thanked both guys, more relieved than anything, and left. I got into my car and drove home. Despite the wait and the lack of decent communication, the two items that I had were excellent. The strawberry milkshake was yummy. I loved the strawberry flavour. It was creamy and enjoyable. I had the Dubai chocolate brownie yesterday. It was so good. I loved the crispy bits with pistachio cream and a delectable, moist brownie layer. Yum! I'm thinking that ordering online and coming here to pick up my order would be best. This place seems to take its time because it seems to be on its own time. Boardwalk has happy hour deals at night. We called ahead of time because we wanted a more spacious area to fit our stroller with a baby. Upon arrival, the waitress led us to an area with no one. We were afraid that our stroller would block the walkway but she said she planned to seat diners in the other area instead. So glad and appreciative of her gesture and accommodation. Place was spacious and clean. We ordered the Roast Beef Dinner and Third Rack BBQ Back Ribs. Food was good and hot, and just like typical Swiss Chalet. Overall very satisfied with the experience, particularly the service, and would come back again!

It's a ritual for us, especially when I'm not in town to make Christmas dinner. This festive meal consisted of stuffing that was more moist than it should have been. We got a whole chicken that was cut into quarters, so it united dark and white meat eaters. It came with chalet sauce and cranberry sauce. We got four sides (salad, mashed potatoes, corn, and a baked potato). It also came with four dinner rolls, four boxes of Lindt chocolates, cranberry sauce, and scratch-and-win cards. I picked it up by going into the eatery. It looked cozier and much nicer than I had expected! I had already paid online, so I basically showed the woman my order at the counter and got my goods. There is plenty of parking at this plaza. This eatery is across from RBC. I drove to my parents' place to feast. The only downside was that the place forgot the chalet dressing for the salad. Tragic. I love the salad dressing. We made due with Olive Garden salad dressing, which worked rather well. Everyone enjoyed their food. My parents don't like cranberry sauce. I dig it, so I was happy to get it all. The chicken was delicious. It was moist and juicy. There was more than enough chalet sauce for all of us. My dad likes white meat. My mom prefers dark. I flip between the two. I like chicken. My mom liked the baked potato. We all split the salad, mashed potatoes with gravy, and corn. I like Lindt chocolates. My parents took two boxes. I took the other two. I still have a bunch left. I was good eating one chocolate a day until I headed to the States. You get five different ones in each box. This Swiss Chalet isn't the closest one by me, but I do like coming here when I'm in the neighbourhood. I'm happy that the restaurant is much nicer inside these days. I suggest getting the value deal or the combo for four dollars or so more and you get french fries and a drink. The french fries are very good I have a little bit of the potato skin on it. Here is a hint, order them without salt that way you get a brand new fresh hot batch. While the fries are hot and good serving size they had seasoning on it, which means they either had very light salt seasoning or they didn't clean the bin when they put the french fries in it either way they were good and not overly salted so enjoyable. The problem was the A&W root beer. I ordered the diet A&W root beer and it was flat absolutely zero carbonation. I told the employee that and she simply gave me another cup, which is also completely flat without any bubbles. It's amazing that the product the company is named after was the worst part of the meal. The good is they're very few places around here like this open 24 hours a day and the restaurant looks clean. The lady took the order was pleasant but soft spoken so I couldn't really understand her. They make the food to order and stated above, except for the root beer tasted pretty good.
