Dr. Ryan Kuebler is the dentist I see the most often. He is fantastic. He explains everything to me in real time and why prices are the way they are. He always goes above and beyond. He has an amazing energy about him that gets rid of any anxiety. Dare I say it's fun to go to the dentist? Again amazing staff!!! Very grateful for the care I have received. I was still numb so lips are strange, but I would have had a bigger smile if I could have managed it. No before picture because it was cringy. He is good at his job and is a perfectionist. Super chatty, as he thinks the process out loud so as not to frighten and worry you about the final product. If it makes you more nervous he is so nice, I am sure he would zip it. Every detail was taken care of! I am very happy with my four front teeth that really had been in a war with my lowers for my first 60 years.

Tho office is located in a strip mall but when you enter the office is clean, modern & very inviting. The staff immediately made me feel welcome & put me at ease. I was told by a previous practice that I needed a very expensive 4 session deep clean. Dr. Gibson examined my teeth & said my gums were actually quite healthy. I had a rigorous cleaning performed & then an old filling replaced that was causing problems. If you are afraid of shots, I barely felt it at all. With one visit to his practice it is evident that he is knowledgeable, capable, personable and friendly. He does not use a dental hygienist to conduct the cleanings. He does them himself, giving him much more time in your mouth, being more familiar with the particulars of your teeth and gums. I needed a crown and after sitting in the chair a new dentist popped up and said Hi I'll be helping you today, with no time to think in my emergency situation I just let him take care of me. In reality as soon as I made an appointment they should've specified that there was a different Dentist that took over the practice. My temporary crown fell off 2 days later, which might not be so bad, but they had no emergency plan in place. I was having some pain and left a message Saturday morning asking for help on what to do and left a email as directed. Unfortunately no call back just a e- mail around 6pm Sunday evening by that time I got it figured out. I must say the worst part of my whole experience was leaving after my work was completed and still not feeling well because of the receptionist The receptionist or bar bouncer looking woman..Couldn't of been more cavemen like and rude. Insurance paid 1/2 already and I paid off the other half and still owed a small amount I decided I wanted to make payments to make sure my work was secure. I have never been treated so poorly by receptionist in my whole life . After stating I needed to make the rest of my payment in full immediately. I asked her if they did payments, she said no I need to make it before I leave. I told her I didn't have the money at this time but I have a good job, so I can make payments. Funny, but I actually am a Bill Collecter for a hospital. I know patients can make payments in any situation. She told me nobody there is allowed payment everyone pays upfront or after every service in full. I watched another man make a payment arrangement at my first visit, so that was a lie. The desk or bouncer acting person then said "sorry if you don't make enough money to pay, but that's not my problem" What....How rude... Trying to belittle me was such a immature and ugly look on a person that needs to have a good personality to make herself look good already. If I talked to a patient like she did I would expect to get fired and with good reason. Stay clear of this place, not only is the front desk girl combative but shouldn't be working with the public and has no social skills. Each time. I'd hear a message that they were closed because, 1/ Either they WERE actually open (TUE) but no one returned my VM or 2/ It was (WED) or 3/ it was FRI and the schedule posted said they'd be open but the VM said they are closed to MONDAY, (it's supposed to be open SATs) It is nice that once you call their office and get their VM, that the system follows up with a useless confirmation that they see that you tried to call, but sorry, folks, they're closed... (sigh) Guess we're going elsewhere.

Dr. Amin and Smile Obsession is a private practice and NOT a corporate machine. This matters because any clinician (dentist, physician, psychotherapist) who has a private practice is more likely to be able to put ethical patient care as the top priority, rather than extra x-rays or tests to pad their billing and charge you more like a corporate model. I experienced that corporate mentality at another dental practice and that is why I left and chose Smile Obsession. Dr. Amin is very kind, grew up in the Chicago area, and returned here after dental school at UCLA. I was impressed that he was willing to leave that California sunshine to come back to Illinois. Because of the pandemic and a cross country move, it had been a while since I had dental care.
