Fantastic cafe. The Harvest Store is a calming eatery that anyone would love. The place was not busy when I arrived and had no issue finding a table. Their menu was overwhelming with choices that I did not know what to order, including their weekly specials. I ordered at the counter their Mexicana Eggs Benedict with coffee. The coffee was good with hints of orange pekoe in it. The Mexicana benedict was extraordinarily tasty, from the carnitas meat to the chipotle and pesto sauces on top of the hollandaise. The hashbrowns were magnificent as well; crunchy and coated with seasoning. The interior of the cafe was simple, yet spacious with a slight modern look to it. I even bought some of their baked goods, such as the Maple Bacon doughnut, the Confetti Square, the Blueberry Muffin and the Almond Cookie. And yes, their pastries are fantastic as well, better than at Tim Horton's. I highly recommend the Harvest Store & Cafe for breakfast/lunch outings and their bakery confections. read more

Harvest Store and Cafe was extremely busy when we visited. We had to wait for a total of 45 mins in line and for the food to cook. Having said that, the staff were still patient and provided great service. I ordered the standard breakfast plate and added in addition scrambled egg and bacon because I was starving. Great place to have coffee and a bite to eat in Chilliwack. A nice change from the typical Starbucks, Waves, etc. We actually opted for some fresh lemonade as it was a hot day. We also tried one of their vegan donuts which was amazing! I was expecting it to be more dense and heavy, but it was light and tasted better than a lot of regular donuts I've tried. Made a rare visit over to Chilliwack and I'm amazed by the number of unique cafe and restaurants they have these days! Harvest is a cute cafe that serves breakfast and lunch and pastries! They are particularly known for their donuts here with the Homer's donut being one of the most popular ones ( it did actually look like Homer Simpson's favourite pink donut). We ordered the Caramel Latte + Beyoncé + White Chocolate Cloud. The donuts are really soft, fluffy with that perfect yeasty chew and a generous amount icing on top. Love the texture but it is on the sweeter side. For those who like their dessets less sweet a hot cup of coffee or tea will do the job to lessen the sweetness. With tasty treats like these I'll have to make a revisit to this city gem again soon! read more

We stopped in this town for lunch and used Yelp to choose this restaurant. It was fantastic. We were on an extended road trip and have only recently been home so I forget what we ate. I remember my husband and I got two different sandwiches and then ate half of the other's lunch. Both were absolutely delicious, as were the small salads that accompanied them. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was very positive. We bought baked goods for our dessert that night after dinner at the campervan. First time visiting here and I so wanted to love this place. Nice West Coast Cafe atmosphere. Had the Harvest roast turkey sandwich. Was your typical roast turkey sandwich you'd have after Thanksgiving. I think a better bread choice would be much better than a huge foccatia. Had a nice flavour. Wife had the Carnita grilled cheese. She said it was wonderful. The only draw back is the prices are extremely high. That would be the only reason I would probably not come. I will give the breakfast a try if there is a next time. Not sure having uncovered donuts right by the cash register is a good idea. Only one huge wet sneeze from a sicko and... Well you get the idea. Seriously avoid at all costs! Overcooked baked goods and seriously lacking food quality because management doesn't care about replacing broken or not working properly equipment. Or just laying off their entire staff in the kitchen to pay the back less and treat the new staff worse. So food quality is lacking due to that . If I could give negative stars I would. Checked out Harvest Store + Cafe for a stop in brunch. The space was so bright and airy. I loved that you order at the front cash, take a number, seat, and get served. It reminded me of the Aussie way of ordering a casual meal - more of that chill vibe. The variety of breakfast and lunch menu items is quite good, especially considering it looks like a coffee and treats kind of place when you first walk in. From waffles n pancakes, to a range of different types of eggs benny, salads, soups and sandwiches, there is something for everyone. I ordered the crabby benny which was a stack of focaccia bread, a large home made crab cake, two poached eggs with hollandaise and a side of potatoes. I was extremely happy with my choice and it was all prepared perfectly. I also ordered a number of baked goods to go. Not only were they displayed beautifully, but they tasted amazing too! The items I ordered specifically included the birthday cake shortbread, pecan caramel, chocolate dipped shortbread bar, piña colada square, and a coconut raspberry jam filled square (on the sweeter side but maybe my favourite of them all). Overall, I really enjoyed the experience in terms of quality - both in food and prompt service. I am definitely looking forward to making another trip out to this cafe on a sunny weekend to try more of their menu items and enjoy the charming shops in around the area...but keep in mind, to do so, you will need to go on a Saturday since most shops appeared to be closed on Sunday like the afternoon we went. read more

We were feelings hunger pangs on our way home from the Okanagan and used Yelp to guide us to this highly-rated cafe. When I was a teenager, Chilliwack was a bit of a culinary wasteland but those days are obviously gone. This place has, as the owner explained, a great menu of "comfort mood, deconstructed and made healthy and fresh". My SO had the veggie chilli and said it was great. Kids shared the lemon blueberry pancakes and declared them the "best ever". I enjoyed their (also huge!) signature salad but if I'm gonna nitpick, it could have used something creamy like cheese or avocado for some balance. Owner is a super nice guy. Best thing of all though is the room. Bright, clean, expansive ceilings, and spacious layout. We'll make a point to be hungry next time we're in the 'Wack! read more

Walked in here on a Saturday morning at 10:30am and ordered two americanos and one turkey sandwich with a side of poutine instead of fries. Then, we waited and watched everyone around us get their coffee and meals despite ordering after us. Finally received our coffees around 10:45am and our sandwiches at 11:30am. The maple bacon donut is delicious and the coffee is good but this place needs to decide on being a cafe or a restaurant. Over the weekend I had placed my order and then had to cancel it because after a closer look at 6 empty tables they had reservations placed on them (at 10am). This happened two days in a row as I decided to take another chance, but again multiple tables were reserved. If you're going to take reservations maybe have someone at the front seating people, and this takes me back to the comment about choosing to be a cafe or a restaurant. i'm always excited to go to a place that knows what gluten-free and vegan means. and this is a place in chilliwack! there is a little bit of a decor shop on the left as you enter the cafe and then a glass encasement of treats at the center order counter, including gluten-free/vegan items (like a large and crazy chocolate covered peanut butter smeared brownie that i ate before and after my lunch and still had about half to finish later!). there is a soy option for lattes and such. and, to my delight, they have a daily selection of items (we all had the soup of the day - a moroccan sweet potato and carrot) and a several-paged menu of salads and soups and sandwiches. my dad loved his ancient grains salad (very hearty with beans and veg!) and i got a wide-eyed nod of a recommendation from another that the fancy pants grilled cheese was not to be missed (though needs to be, if you're vegan and GF! ha). i love how fresh it feels inside and apparently we came just in time (just before noon) to miss the craziness of lunch time as it fills up quickly. high ceilings and bright whites and dark woods with friendly and knowledgeable staff. makes me think that heirloom in vancouver could have a cousin in chilliwack. i love that they grow their herbs and such on their back patio. my side salad was so fresh and tangy and i like to think that it contained some just-picked greens! i would definitely love to visit again! read more

My daughter recommended the Harvest Cafe and suggested we split a meal...we had the salmon eggs benny and it was delicious...hash browns were amazing....took home some house made doughnuts that we just finished nibbling on....its a wonderful little bakery.....enjoyed some loose leaf tea as well.
