After starring at Harvard tried out with the Patriots! He opened up his garden shop in '81. They have a really beautiful nursery on Central Street not too far from Cobbs corner. The plants are always high quality. I have never been disappointed. Occasionally I'll stop in when I am driving by and always find something cool, pretty and priced right. All the other reviewers are spot on with their assessment of service. It's super friendly, the staff is knowledgeable, and always willing to carry your purchase to the car if need be. I've also had good success with Polillio's label sun and shade grass seed and the neighborhood birds love the bird seeds. Last year I bought 3 different types of tomato plants a little later than usual, so they were marked down to bargain price. I had so many tomatoes I thought about making my own Ketchup! However, I am disappointed with what she received. I live in NYC and am very aware that flower arrangements can be expensive. I am disappointed in the fact that this location is a nursery and should have tons of flowers at their disposal, so I expected a phenomenal arrangement compared to what I've bought and have gotten in NYC for the same price. Maybe it's better to buy in person where you see what you get but definitely do not recommend buying online. The flowers are beautiful and the arrangement is beautiful but definitely not worth the value paid.

If I could give negative stars I would!…read more We just got 4 cords of "seasoned" wood delivered that is mostly unusable because it is NOT seasoned! Also, there is so much scrap mixed in (along with some asphalt!) with the wood (see pics) and they say their wood is "clean"????? Our woodstove is our primary source of heat in the winter and now we just spent our wood budget on CRAP! I called twice....once I left a voicemail because no one answered and the other time the person who answered took our information and said we would get a call or Keith would come to the house to discuss....Guess what....NO ONE called or came to talk to us! I always want to do business within my town and they boast that they take care of their customers and their wood is CLEAN and SEASONED....NONE of it is true! Also, they state that all of their logs are uniformly cut...see the pic....that is also not true! Now we have to sift through, separate, and stack what can be used and then take more time to clean all of the scrap and dirt...which is about 3 inches thick! What is most disappointing to me is that they do not even care the least about even trying to make things right.....it is really unbelievable to me.

David always greets you with a smile, educates you on the flowers and plants that he has available and if he doesn't have it, he will remember you the next time and let you know that he's looking into finding that plant for you! You can always expect excellent assortments of plants, fresh cut flower bouquets for a much cheaper price than the super market, and flowers. The great thing is that his fresh cut arrangements last for more than 2 weeks I've noticed when I pick them up from time to time. The great thing is that he will carry garden packet seeds in 2017 which is excellent news for a gardener like me!! I love to give my business to the locals and I definitely will always go back not because of the prices being excellent and quality of what is offered, but all for the reason of the truly exceptional service that you get from him. Plus who wouldn't like to get greeted with a flower for free?! I've been to other garden shops nearby and they have been horrible service and this definitely a place you need to stop into!
