How I ended up at Hartz Physical Therapy in Lititz. I got up one morning like any other, except this time the world was spinning and spinning and, well you get the idea. My first thought was that perhaps the Super Beets I had been taking the last couple weeks had lowered my blood pressure too abruptly resulting in the vertigo. I let it go for a bit over a week as I was learning to manage the issue to a point. But that was no way to live. Next step? A visit to my primary care physician. Lucky for me she had experienced the very same issue and knew where to send me so Doctor Kevin Sisbarro could work his "magic" on me. Luckily I was able to get an appointment with Kevin the next day. He showed me iPad pictures of the physiology of the inner ear and an area where the ear crystals were to be. Next up was the diagnostic tests to determine if my vertigo was being caused by some crystals that had migrated into adjacent inner ear tubes. After being put through a very specific battery of tests it was time for the "magic" to occur. Kevin told me each movement of my head and upper body that was to happen and away we went. During each specific action Kevin focused on my eyes and could predict with 100% accuracy if the movement was initiating vertigo or not. This whole process only took minutes and when I sat up after it was over, NO vertigo. None. I was pleasantly stunned that one treatment did the trick. However, in the interest of surety, Kevin took me through the movement protocol again and no vertigo at all. I saw Kevin for a follow up a few days later and I passed my vertigo check up with flying colors. I am writing this almost two weeks since my first visit and all is well. I thought my total right knee replacement wouldn't be as hard to rehab from as my total left knee replacement had been seven years before with Dan in the Lititz office of Hartz Physical Therapy. Wrong! This time around my body was fighting excessive inflammation (I was now allergic to N-SAIDs, so no anti-inflammatory medication was possible.) and I was also plagued by excessive scar tissue every inch of the way. The physical therapy staff had to "think outside the box" to help me progress in bending and above all straighten my knee. Alex and Laura in the beginning got me moving and then Brandi, Krystle and Lauren helped me get rid of all my scar tissue and significantly reduced my overall right leg inflammation, so that I could further progress towards my final objectives. Thankfully I did manage to make the much needed progress lengthening and strengthening my right leg's muscles, tendons and ligaments and straightening and bending my right knee. I was even able to work on my overall balance issues, before my therapy sessions stopped. They even provided me with a full workout program to follow, after completing my program with them, so that I could fully maintain my new physical capacities and maybe even continue to progress on my own. I live in Lititz Pa. I have been to Hartz in Lititz for several things. They always treat me with respect and make sure I proceed as far as possible. I recently was under their care for a total knee revision and they were very helpful. I have not been able to bend my knee very far or walk without pain. I am now able to get around and walk without pain. They took me through therapy at a pace that met my needs, and provided followup exercises to help me maintain and continue my healing. They seem to be truly concerned and connected with each person. Everyone is treated as an individual and always treated with respect. I have been treated by Megan at Hartz for a month to address a hip issue before my marathon. Megan carefully and skillfully assessed my injury and provided hands on stretching techniques and at home exercises that that allowed me to focus on my problem areas. I got to the start line of the marathon feeling very good and was able to complete my marathon with a Boston qualifying time! I am grateful for her expertise and knowledge. I can't say enough good about Hartz Physical Therapy in Manheim. I started out a bit skeptical but after meeting with Lauren, I found her very caring , encouraging and knowledgeable that I thought I'll give this a try. Within six weeks my neck pain was virtually gone. What a difference from when I first came in. Both Lauren and Katie made my visits there fun , so the weeks went by quickly. I would highly recommend Hartz Physical Therapy. Most of my therapy was done at the Lititz office. I actually needed therapy 3 different times in the past 4 years. Every time I returned to Hartz. Staff is always friendly and knowledgable. While I worked with several PT assistants and aides who were all very good, I can't say enough about the team of Drew and Laura. Both are so likable, and could actually get me to laugh during some of my hard therapy recovery. Therapy is never fun but these two made it ok. Everyone does a great job there. read more

Excellent staff! Brandi gave my 98 year old mother the best care. She spoke so that my mom could hear and understand her. Directions for treatment and home exercises were made very clear and we've seen astounding results. My mother has strengthened her muscles and is able to once again walk with confidence after a fall.
