Within a few minutes all the knots were out and not sure I've ever been so relaxed (or felt so spoiled). She was concerned about my comfort throughout and so kind and pleasant. Next time I'm in town I plan to get to the airport early to book a massage (table massage, not a chair massage). Definitely worth the trip!

Harrisburg is one of the easiest airports to navigate. Getting to the counter, checking my bag and…read moregetting through security took a whopping 15 minutes. I had an hour to kill. I already had lunch so what to do...I saw a sign for airport massages - why not. I walked down terminal A just to scope it out - it's the airport, going to be ridiculous, right? To my surprise, it was reasonable - not much more than I pay at home. I'm going home to a very stressful situation so a massage was a good way to ease back into life. Upon entering this quiet oasis, I was greeted by Joyce. I was immediately put at ease not only by her demeanor but also by the calming scents, the quiet and the overall softness of the little room in the middle of the airport chaos. I requested a half hour neck and shoulder massage. Joyce got me comfortably settled in a massage chair and started with a gentle touch moving into a slightly more deeper massage. She found my tension spots and paid particular attention to these areas. I don't usually talk through a massage, it is my time for reflection and prayer, but Joyce and I moved into an easy conversation about the challenges of life. We shared our "crosses" with each other which segwayed into prayer and meditation. Neither of us pushed prayer at each other, it was organic. We shared meditation and Joyce prayed for a calming of the stresses that I was heading back too. When I got to the airport, I felt a little guilty - I could have spent a little more time with my parents - every minute with them is a gift. As God guides us, I received another gift - an hour of relaxation and meditation - a perfect centering for what I was heading into at home. Thank you Lord for making my cross a little easier to bear today.
