Dr. Hartel has been my dentist since 2004 or 2005. His staff is friendly and attentive. I'm pretty sure I've seen all of his dental hygienists and they are all great. I've never had problem getting an appointment and even if my appointment is at the end of the day, they are rarely behind. When they are running behind, they keep you updated. He is the only dentist that I've actually kept my bi-annual appointments.
Dr. Hartel is honest and lets you know all your options. The last time I went in, I had an infection in the gums in the back of a wisdom tooth. The emergency dentist I saw wanted to talk me into getting my wisdom tooth pulled. Dr. Hartel told me that getting my tooth pulled is one option, but also offered other suitable options. Over the years, I've had cleanings and fillings done at his office.
Dr. Hartel would never try to sell you a more expansive or unnecessary procedure. When he noticed that I grind my teeth, he told me that I can either get a $500 custom night guard in the office or I can spend less with over the counter version that works just as well. Same thing with teeth whitening.
