My mother had something from the Brunch menu, and I had the Corned Beef Sandwich thanks to the recommendation of our awesome waitress, Zoey. It did not disappoint, and I'm glad I listened. The corned beef was good, well-portioned, and a clean-to-eat sandwich that wasn't too heavy. Suffice it to say, the food and staff made it comfy and memorable. Zoey worked diligently and had the gift of gab in the best way. She knows how to get people to start talking and was attentive in the right way. She's a good waitress, and I have no doubt she'll make a good bartender.

Our hostess told us the owners had ordered and shipped from England. I enjoyed the Jägerschnitzel dinner, a hand-flattened pork loin fried and topped with traditional onion and mushroom gravy. Served with kraut, warm potato salad, and green beans. A German classic! This food tasted great and was cooked perfectly. I was very pleased to have found this place (through Yelp!) since I don't visit Fredericksburg often. I was also glad that my wife had no problem finding something to her liking, a Cali Turkey Burger. We would definitely frequent this place if we lived closer!

He was SO nice and I would honestly come back here just for him! I sat at the bar as I didn't have long and was served by Shay, she was just as friendly and helpful when helping me figure out which cider to order. Although I did not any order any food I will definitely be back!!! The restaurant was clean and very conveniently located next to the Fredericksburg Amtrak station. Thank you for having me!

Growing up in a h hospitality hom, i can easily say the quality is there. Everything is made from scratch. Our server was so sweet and kind. Helpful with the choices & decisions at crunch time. I got the beer battered fish (for 18, I would have liked 2 pieces of fish) bbu t the entire fillet was crispy and i had to let out cool down when th get brought it out. My boyfriend had the Shepards pie. (He is never very responsive with food but he raved about this to the point that we asked to talk to the kitchen.) It was hearty and flavorful. Really yummy beef gravy on top. l love Brussel sprouts and these had sweet Thai chili sauce and bacon bits (a house made recipe). I could have made that my entire meal. The brownie sundae was super moist as well. During the meal, it was a really good portion amount (at first I thought it was small) but it was spot on. If there was a downside I'd say the alcohol was a little more expensive then I would have expected, but that would be about it. I definitly feel like we've found a hidden gem. If you want high quality Irish comfort food. This is definitly the best one I've ever found. I wish I had taken more pictures but it was so good, by the time we thought about posting this review,, we had eaten most of it already.

Wow, what a quaint British pub in the middle of Vienna. Parking is a little tight for this area,…read morebut you can definitely find some spots in the back on a weekday. I ended up biking and there's a bike stand really close by. My friend was craving fish and chips, so we ventured out this way. Because we came on a Thursday they had a deal going where if you ordered a pie, you could get a beer for free. Of course I had to partake, so I ordered the special pie, which was a masala, chicken, curry pie, and it was quite good. A bit small for the price point but with the beer included totally worth it also because their fries are so good. I could demolish over a pound of those fries. They were thick potato and maybe the extra added bonus of having to use a glass ketchup bottle added to it. My friend and I were also taught how to properly hit the ketchup bottle to get the ketchup out by the bartender. You find the 57 on the bottle at an angle and bump you palm there that instead of hitting the bottom and hoping and praying that ketchup comes out. It actually worked or at least it was more efficient than trying to hit the bottom of the bottle upside down. I had never had a hand pumped beer before, but it was quite good. They are a warm beer rotating and it was quite good, it especially paired well with the pie or fish and chips.

Stopped at Makers Union in Reston on a rainy Sunday afternoon after taking our dog to the dog park…read more We sat outside on the patio with Onyx, and our server Kenny was great. When the rain started becoming an issue, he actually moved the umbrellas together to make sure Onyx had a dry spot. Really appreciated that. We started with a Bourbon Club and the Nitro Espresso Martini, then got the buffalo wings and she-crab soup. The wings can be grilled or fried and we went grilled, which was definitely the right call. Good char on them and I'd get them the same way again. The she-crab soup was also really good and perfect for a rainy afternoon. For lunch we had the French dip and the Reuben, and subbed the mac and cheese for one of the sides. Both sandwiches were solid, but the mac and cheese deserves a mention of its own. Definitely worth the substitution. Good food, good drinks, and especially good service from Kenny. Being able to hang out on the patio with our dog without the rain ruining lunch made the whole experience even better.

We had Mackenzie as our server and immediately connected because she's a foodie like me. At her suggestion, I got the Grilled Chicken Sandwich but swapped the grilled chicken for fried. She had me at bacon. I mean, what doesn't go well with bacon? The chicken was crispy without being greasy and all the flavors just worked. My son had the chicken and waffles. Chicken was perfectly crispy, although the batter was a little sweeter than I prefer. I'm more of a Southern, savory fried chicken person. We asked for hot sauce to add to the maple syrup and Mackenzie upped it by bringing us hot honey instead. YES! Makers Union, add that to the menu. Promise you, it'll be a hit. You can thank Mackenzie for that one! Hubby had the fish and chips. His first reaction was, "Is that all?" Turns out, it was more than enough and really flavorful. The food was great, but honestly, Mackenzie made the experience. When your server understands food AND is a great people person, that's a winning combination. Great first visit and we'll definitely be back!
