When I called to explain what happened the boss wouldn't come to the phone, which then meant I had to walk all the way back to the chip shop with the raw sausage still on the plate, out of pure respect when I got there I waited for customers to leave the shop which I thought was good of me .... when they see that the sausage was raw, all they could come up with, was replace the food. I'm sure anyone would agre, that isn't compensating me for the inconvenience and the fact my son could and still get ill and the walk I had to do, what they should have done is apologied for the fact they give my son a raw sausage and refunded my money and give me food on the house for the sheer inconvenience Instead they would rather lose a customer and be reporting to Havering food hygiene . It's located right around the corner on Chase Cross next to two convenience shops and a plumbing store. Heard the Chinese takeaway is decent, but I've only gotten the fish and chips and it's honestly some of the best that I have had yet. I've been to some of the best places that claim to serve the best fish and chips, but this local shop is worth it. Plus it's great to support the small businesses! The batter of the fish is greasy and delicious. You really can't expect fried fish to be anything else but greasy. But it's crispy and the cod is buttery and soft. Not dry or crumbly like a lot of places I've been to. The chips are large chunky potatoes! YUM! You can order a regular size of chips and it's a good split between two people. I also highly recommend asking for curry sauce, it makes an amazing dip and a nice little kick for your fish and chips! The prices have recently gone up since covid. Use to be able to get the fish and chips for just a little over 6 quid, but now it's around 9. Still worth it for a treat once in a while!
