He, with integrity, worked with me on finding the most affordable and effective solution for my house. 4. In order to hold us over during the new install, he provided mini-portable units that we placed downstairs. Mike, himself, personally brought them to our door on a weekday after 9PM. 5. The technicians are all very knowledgable. In the past, I have had young technicians come over my house that didn't really know much. That is definitely not true for these guys. 6. They moved my thermostat upstairs to a place that is more suited for the structure of the house (under return in hallway as opposed to two (2) thermostats: 1 in master bedroom, in which there is no air handler, and the FROG). 7. They spent a good amount of time adapting my new air handler with existing duct work. I will definitely make Mike my "go-to AC guy" from now on.

I chose to work with Terrance because he was eager to secure my business and promised to complete the job quickly. To be clear, Terrance does not perform the work himself--he contracts everything out. He even lowered the price slightly, which seemed like a good deal at first. However, when it came time to pay, he added "taxes," which brought the price right back to what it was before he offered the discount. There was also no clear scheduling process, no courtesy calls, and no text notifications before workers arrived. For example, one day I came home from work and minutes later someone rang my doorbell saying they were there to take measurements--without any prior notice. When the installation took place, I was at work and again received no call to let me know what time to expect them. After the unit was installed on July 11, I had to follow up myself to ensure I had all necessary paperwork for warranty purposes. The installers also left behind a large box from packaging and what appeared to be a part from my old unit. Since installation, I have been trying to reach Terrance about follow-up concerns. I have sent multiple texts with no response and only received a reply after I called and left a message--18 days later. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Terrance. His business practices are extremely unprofessional, from poor communication to lack of customer follow-up. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for a contractor who values professionalism and customer service.

Two…read moretechnicians arrived, and within five minutes, they told me I'd need to replace the entire HVAC system and gave me a price on the spot. I told them I wanted to get a second opinion and some additional quotes. Later, I discovered they had taken the power disconnect breaker with them and then blocked my number when I called to ask for its return. I ended up calling Smiley's Heating and Cooling, who saved the day. Turns out, the problem was simply a loose power line under the house. The first company had stolen my power disconnect, which I had to replace for $500. This company is nothing more than a group of con artists, more interested in selling a whole new system than actually fixing the issue. Avoid them at all costs.

I contacted the…read morecompany I used for many years at our old house which I was very happy with but, they didn't seem to understand the system. I did a little research of reviews for HVAC companies in Chesapeake and found Simmons had great ratings. I found quickly why they had 5-stars! My previous HVAC contractor had been out twice and I was left with, " you need a new thermostat" and left with a cold house. That's when I found Simmons. They were very responsive and were out within 8 hours. The technician was very polite, professional and explained everything about the system (since I was unfamiliar with a dual-fuel system). He identified the problem and made the necessary repairs quickly. Having had a great experience then, I put the system under contract with them. Since then they have not let me down. They have kept my system in excellent condition. This week I suddenly had an issue with heat. Called and had a technician here within 3 hours. He got the system working but the next day I had the same issue and on one of the coldest days the system was out again. I called after hours and within 15 minutes had a call back from the on-call tech who said he would be here in 20 minutes. He was. The problem was so minute, a loose connection, but trouble shooting that was a pain for him, but he found the problem within 15 minutes. Simmons is my only HVAC system contractor. I know the age of the existing system and understand it only has a few years left in it. I feel confident that Simmons will keep it running great and when the dreaded day comes, it will be Simmons technicians installing a new system.

I've had a service contract with Aire Serv for a few years now because they really are the best of…read morethe best, but recently I sold my home and had to complete some repairs as requested by the seller and of course Aire Serv was up for the task. I had the pleasure of working with Stephen B. who is an absolute gem. He's got a really great spirit and attitude and knows a lot. He was respectful of my home and time and I truly enjoyed his presence and great job he did with the repairs. I also appreciate that he takes good notes, photos and videos. All of which are important when selling a home. I also want to mention Tiffany at the office, she has been amazing throughout the years and such a pleasure to speak with. She follows up and goes above beyond without being asked. She is one of the main reasons I'm a repeat customer. I enjoy calling here bc I know there's a good chance I'll get Tiffany on the line and I know she will always be kind. A wonderful group of people I've had the pleasure of doing business with over the years.

Overall, very satisfied with AIRESERV and my technician Michael Scanlon…read more Issue: Realized 2/5 Bedrooms barely got any airflow. Called this business and scheduled an appointment. Michael arrived, did troubleshooting, and gave me a recommendation as well as the quote. 2 weeks later, I was ready and scheduled the repair for Michael to come out and fix it. I was skeptical at first as this was my first time dealing with HVAC, but wow! Michael was able to even out the airflow to all bedrooms, while living room downstairs was still pumping out cold air. Solution: Simply reducing downstairs ducting from a 14" to 12". Extremely satisfied with his work and if I have any issues, I'll call them again. For anyone with HVAC concerns, stop right here and reach out to AIRESERV - they'll take care of it.
