This building has an ambulance only entrance and another entrance in the back. They do have metal detectors and do bag searches if you bring bag/purse in. My keys were held because I had pepper spray attached to it. Going to the front desk it moved quickly beings I have a mybaptist chart. I was taken to a room and triaged quickly. It did take some time to be seen by a provider. I was seen by RN for vitals and to be swabbed for Covid/Flu and strep. After that seen by registration. It did take some time to be seen by a provider. Once seen an initial exam was done and my swab results all came back negative. I was prescribed some strong cough medicine and went to nearest 24 hour pharmacy. When checking out, that's when I had to pay my co-pay vs paying up front. I did get my keys back and checking the time. I was there for only over an hour. I read other reviews where people waited longer. I guess it depends on how many people are there and if you're there for urgent care/ER visit. ER is 24/7 Urgent care 7a-9p. I had an excellent experience and couldn't ask for better quality of care. I'd definitely come back here.

I can't believe this, it's so unreal! Trump needs to start going after these hospitals that don't care about their patients! I cannot believe they letted my grandma leave in such bad condition such a shame and guess what they got paid for it when they should have not!! I will be blasting this hospital out everywhere including all my racing buddy's so that the truth about this hospital gets spread out to everyone in Kentucky and around Kentucky. Be it this experience was different, sure the wait was awful, but anyone and not just me that needed anything, those nurses made sure to something for any request they could fulfill in that moment. many patients approachEd the desk, asking simply for medication while they wait, and like I said they did that and many others, they did their job and they did it really well. Once they figured out everything and I was able to be seen, they took care of me and I felt like family to strangers in company. Shout out to Katlyn, and making sure I was in the loop of what to do going forward, I felt very comfortable handling myself from this experience. I really appreciated the time they took to take care of me, I hope they all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy new year!!

At 1 am I woke him because I was having the worst headache ever accompanied by major visual disturbance. In fact my left eye unbeknownst to me was bright red with hematoma. When we arrived at the Emergency Room I was immediately ushered over to the triage registration desk. Although there were a variety of patients scattered around the waiting room I was treated with priority because of my symptoms and condition. After the brief check-in I was immediately taken back to a treatment room. The nurse explained that the reason we were passing so many treatment rooms was to get to an area where non-communicable illnesses were treated. Within minutes I was receiving treatment from a nurse, followed minutes later by the ER Doctor. Let me say if you are possibly having a stroke this is the hospital to go to. After monitoring me for several hours in the ER it was highly recommended that I be transferred to the hospital to follow stroke protocol. The next two days I had extremely thorough care. After finally getting my pacemaker approved I was able to have an MRI. Fortunately the findings were negative for a stroke but rather it was a complex hemiplegic migraine. In any case if I or a loved one is possibly having a stroke this is the hospital to go to. From start to finish this was definitely a five plus star experience.

Came to be evaluated for chest and back pain. I was given an EKG and blood work immediately, but waited for 5+ hours in the waiting room after that with no update. Once I was moved to an ER room, there was much confusion surrounding what tests had or had not been done, no one seemed to know/remember my reported symptoms, etc. Finally, nurse Raymond came in. Raymond was beyond rude and dismissive the 4 times I saw him. The 3rd time, I begged for any relief from awful symptoms (an hour AFTER receiving several medications from him that "should help"), and was met with an annoyed attitude, no help at all, and was discharged about an hour after that. I visited my PCP a few days later, who ordered more specific tests to help with the painful symptoms. She also mentioned that my care team at this hospital had not reviewed one of my test results, and therefore did not provide any treatment, for a bacterial infection that should be treated asap. I will never return to this hospital, mainly due to the "care" I received from Raymond.

The reception and triage staff were courteous and professional, and I appreciate their kindness…read more Unfortunately, my clinical experience was very different. I sought emergency care for severe foot pain and required wheelchair assistance because I could barely walk. During my visit, the physician assistant instructed me to turn onto my stomach and then back onto my back. In my experience, no meaningful examination, assessment, or evaluation of my foot was performed before I was offered a narcotic medication, which I declined. Because I did not believe my foot complaint had been adequately evaluated, I requested to be seen by a physician. I then remained in the emergency department for approximately one additional hour before being seen. While I understand that emergency departments can involve waiting, I continue to question whether the physician assistant's involvement and the additional wait accurately support the professional charges that were assessed. I do not dispute the entire bill. I have consistently stated that I do not object to paying for services such as the diagnostic imaging that I received. My dispute concerns the professional charges associated with care that, in my view, did not include a meaningful examination of my presenting complaint. I also questioned the provider listed on my discharge paperwork and billing statement because the physician identified was not the physician who treated me during my visit. I repeatedly raised concerns regarding the adequacy of the care provided, the professional charges assessed, the provider listed on my records, and the subsequent billing. Despite these efforts, I did not receive a substantive response addressing those billing concerns before the account proceeded to collections and was reported to the credit bureaus. Only after I publicly shared my experience was I informed that the matter had been reviewed internally and that additional staff training had been provided regarding compassion, patient listening, and patient-centered care. I sincerely hope those efforts benefit future patients. However, my primary concern has never been recognition that my experience resulted in additional training. My concern has always been obtaining a fair review of the disputed professional charges and the provider attribution reflected on my records. I believe this matter could have been resolved without requiring additional dispute proceedings had my billing concerns been substantively addressed before the account progressed beyond the provider's internal review process. Those concerns remain unresolved. Patients should not have to pursue multiple levels of review and dispute simply to obtain a substantive response to legitimate billing concerns. My purpose in sharing this experience is not simply to describe my visit, but to encourage accountability, transparency, and patient-centered care while seeking a fair resolution of the disputed charges based on the care that was actually rendered. After being informed that additional staff training had been provided, I replied to UofL Patient Services email to explain that, while I appreciated any efforts to improve future patient care, my primary concern remained a fair review and adjustment of the disputed professional charges. To date, I have not received a response to that communication. As a result, the billing concerns I raised continue to remain unresolved.

As soon as we got done praying, nurses rushed in and started to unplug the cords and said that he needed to get to surgery ASAP. They decided to take the risk. This was all right after prayer. Some doctors and nurses cried and teared up with us. Though it was a scary situation, I knew that they were going to do the best that they could to get him through it. I can't say THANK YOU enough to the doctors and nurses who looked over and are still looking after my father. Once he is out of ICU and goes to a different floor, I just hope that same kindness and caring continue.
