Not to be confused with Hairy Teeter, which is what it was called before body shavers and waxing and LHR became commonplace. This Harris Teeter in Morrisville is where I hung out for a while on a very cold night just before Thanksgiving. It's a good store with decent service and outlets, and wifi near the door which helped me out a lot. It's a little cold where the outlets and chairs are, at night, but it suffices. Oh and this is where I bought my baby oil. You know, the baby oil. That you keep seeing on me. That is in one of my profile pix. If you know what I mean.

I'm a huge fan of the Harris Teeter brand. They do a great job of maintaining bright and airy supermarkets that are easy to shop, well stocked, polite and helpful associates, great selection and reasonable prices on most items. Sure, you'll save a bunch by going to the Big Box, but the shopping experience here is much better. Deli, seafood, grocery, pharmacy, produce, frozen, all in great shape. I was able to pick up a couple of things to bring back to the hotel room with no trouble. The self-checkout system works well for a few items, too. Nice, large parking lot with mostly empty cart corrals.

MOLDY BREAD. Just purchased this yesterday. Horrible.

I have been plagued multiple times by gross, moldy bread at this location. Yesterday I bought $2.00 HALF loaf bread. Today I went to make my first sandwich and it was covered in mold. This is the 3rd time that this has happened; you would think I would learn and just quit my bread buying habit, cold turkey, with this horrible location. They need to learn how to make fresh bread . I would love my $2 back. Anyway, please don't buy bread here. I've only had bad bread experiences. Also it is way too overpriced. If you are in the market for fresh bread, please go to food lion down the street. Also some of the deli workers are super nice, but there are the occasional deli workers that really seem like they hate being there. I don't want to feel bad about getting some good boar's head meat.

The only reason why I haven't given five stars is because it is a little more expensive than many other grocery stores. It's a sneaky kind of expensive - sometimes the bill is fifty dollars (today) when you've got four items in your cart. I do have this to speak of: I ordered the full thanksgiving dinner from Harris Teeter (affectionately: Harry TeeTee) and everyone loved the food and believed I did a kick butt job with the turkey but it was Harry TeeTee and not me. They all said it was the best (precooked unbeknownst to them) turkey they'd ever had. I had time to make fancy Pinterest snowmen to laze in their coffees and fancy mulled wine (vin chaud) while Harris TeeTee took nearly all the stress away. Instead of fretting in the weeks before the dinner (my first Thanksgiving ever with extended family) I sent my guests silly jokes and planned ways to make them smile - we had a gingerbread making party after dinner and played games. It was a special day and a lot of it was due to Harris TeeTee - $50 for a stressless and happy holiday - I will do it again for absolute sure. I searched through my photos of thanksgiving and couldn't find one of just our food - suffice it to say the turkey was almost polished off and all of us - me included - were enjoying ourselves.

Way too long of lines not enough registers open.

Poor selection of Gluten Free products. Checkout lines are very confusing. Staff not knowledgable about gluten free products.

The process to look at and schedule an appointment on the Walgreens app continues to be pretty good with continued excellent availability and scheduling ease. The form fill-out process on the app appeared to be successful this year as opposed to the last experience. The only snag was the online check-in process was not optimal as it continued to say they were not open yet when it was past time for opening after lunch and staff had returned. This one thing was remedied by check-in at the desk/counter in the pharmacy itself, so not a big deal. I was seen in a very timely manner, and the healthcare professional performing the actual vaccination process was thorough, answering any questions, making sure all documentation as well as the vaccination itself was completed with efficiency. This visit was a more positive experience than last, definitely.

I got an email saying that my order had been received and it gave me a time they would be ready. Went to pick them up the next day instead of the same day and they had just finished printing. Good thing I didn't go the same day. The lady behind the counter asked if I had received an email that said they were ready. I didn't know that I would receive one. I just thought they would be ready at the time on the first email. My bad...never should assume anything. Evidently there is a shortage in photo paper especially the 4"x6". The cost was great and the quality of the photos was very good. I'd definitely use them again but I would double check that they are ready before I head to pick them up. (Make sure you get that second email!)

I asked the pharmacist who said the brown color was probably fine, but just in case, I paid for another bottle. The new one turned brown again after a few days (and this time I handled it with extreme care). I used it up and when I called for a refill, it happened to be on a Sunday so they didn't have their compounding technician in. I opted to go to a different compounding pharmacy who actually had the correct air-tight bottle seal (where the syringe goes through) and sure enough, the white liquid never turned brown and my baby stopped screaming bloody murder after a few hours of eating it. Not sure if it's a coincidence or not, but bottom line was that they couldn't resolve my concern... And what compounding pharmacy doesn't staff a compounding technician during open hours? The other pharmacy also gave me flavoring choices which wasn't asked by this pharmacy. Thank goodness I switched pharmacies.

The personal attention they provide their customers far exceeds what is possible from corporate/chain pharmacies. As a small woman-owned community business, Morrisville Pharmacy offers compounding medications. Many insurance agencies do not yet cover compound prescriptions because of the corporate requirements to stock and distribute products of multi-national pharmaceuticals. However, the pharmacist will work with clients to make compounds affordable. It is unreasonable to expect the same economies of scale offered to Walmart, CVS, Walgreens of a community pharmacy. Pricing concerns should be discussed with the owner. She is motivated to gain & retain customers and she is well aware of the pharmacy landscape. Our preference is to go local, given the choice. The compounds made here have improved the quality of my life and these customized options simply are not available at the chains. We are grateful for the opportunity to shop Morrisville Pharmacy & Compounding and strongly encourage everyone to consider them as well.
