This is our go-to Harris Teeter when we're in Chapel Hill. We've been shopping here regularly for groceries since June 2020. Our Chapel Hill home is equidistant between this location, store #224 "Hope Valley Commons" in Durham, and store #120 "Meadowmont Village" in Chapel Hill. Simply put, we like this Harris Teeter more than the Meadowmont location because we think the stuff here is fresher and there's more variety. The items I've personally purchased the most from this store are coffee creamer, diet soda, bagged or boxed salads and veggies, and occasionally salad dressing. My coffee creamer of choice is Silk Almond Creamer in the 32-ounce bottles. Harris Teeter regularly sells these at $4.79 per bottle and offers at least one or two flavors more than Walmart. Walmart's price is cheaper, though. A 12-pack of canned diet soda has regularly cost $6.59, but I've often gotten packs for less than that through discounts and specials. Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Diet Dr. Pepper, and Diet Cheerwine are the types I've purchased. I also like the 8-packs of bottled Diet Coke, but it's a little more expensive at $6.59 for 8 bottles. Each bottle holds the same amount as a can (12 ounces), but I like that I don't have to commit to an entire bottle. I can seal it back up and drink it later without sacrificing carbonation. We like the Harris Teeter house brand "Farmers Market" salads (e.g. Romaine Blend) and Organic Girl boxed salads (e.g. Super Greens!). I'm not so much a fan of Fresh Express, but I'll buy it if there's nothing better. The bags of Fresh Express can be as low as $1.99 per bag of Italian salad and as high as $3.79 per bag of Hearts of Romaine. 10-ounce bags of the Harris Teeter Romaine Blend have cost $3.49 at regular price while Organic Girl has naturally been more expensive at $4.29 per 5-ounce box. However, we've often purchased boxes of Organic Girl, and many other items, when they're on sale. We've gotten Organic Girl for as low as $2.99 and $2.14 per box. The small bags of Eat Smart Vegetable Medley, Broccoli and Cauliflower, etc. have typically cost $2.99 per small bag. As for salad dressing, we like Briannas which has run $3.49 per 12-ounce bottle. The New American Creamy Balsamic and Asiago Caesar flavors have been yummy. My wife does most of the grocery shopping and cooking for us. A sampling of things she's purchased from this Harris Teeter in recent months includes blueberries ($4.99 per box), clementines ($2.99 per 3-lb bag), green grapes ($5.99 per bag), baby bok choy ($2.49/lb), seasoned Brussels sprouts ($4.99 per package), Hass avocado ($2 per bag, each bag has 2 small avocados, so $1 per small avocado), yellow onions ($1.99 for a 3-lb bag), organic lettuce ($2.49 for 1 head), natural free-range eggs ($6.49 for 12 large eggs), ground chicken ($6.99 per package), asparagus ($3.99/lb), frozen blueberries ($9.99 per bag; great in smoothies), yellow bananas ($0.49/lb), Tillamook Mudslide and Chocolate Ice Creams ($6.99 for a 1.5-qt carton), white mushrooms ($2.49 for 16 ounces), cremini mushrooms ($2.49 for 8 ounces), shiitake mushrooms ($4.49 per package), baby bella mushrooms ($2.49 per package), leeks ($2.99/lb), sweet potatoes ($1.19/lb), Bush brand beans, assorted (e.g. dark kidney beans, black beans) ($1.49 per can), organic red seedless grapes ($2.99/lb), Dave's Killer Bread assorted bagels (e.g. berry, Cinnamon Raisin Remix) ($5.49 per bag of 6 bagels), thin Oreos ($3.99), Philadelphia cream cheese ($3.69 each), mangoes ($5 for 5, but we could buy them in singles at $1 each), red grapes ($5.99 per bag), ground turkey breast ($6.99 per package), Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce ($4.49 per bottle), Harris Teeter sharp cheddar ($3.39 per bag), Yukon potatoes ($1.49/lb), Nielsen-Massey vanilla extract ($10.99 per bottle), Screamin' Sicilian Supremus Maximus Pizza ($9.59 each), Quaker Old-Fashioned Oats ($5.69 for a 42-ounce carton), Classic Coke ($6.99 for pack of 8 smaller cans), Dark Horse Rose wine ($7.99 per bottle), NatureSweet Cherubs sweet grape tomatoes ($6.99 per 10.5-ounce resealable container), and Ghirardelli 72% Cacao Dark Chocolate Premium Baking Chips ($5.49 per bag). OK - that list of examples was more detailed and exhaustive than I thought it was going to be. Admittedly, I saved up several receipts from my wife's visits to this particular store and saved them to write about in this review. We've also gotten our fair share of extra creamy Reddi Wip in both the large ($5.49) and smaller ($3.29) cans. It was a guilty pleasure which we would add to a lot of desserts, for a while. My wife has a Harris Teeter VIC card. I do not. Maybe I should get one. Coming from Atlanta, I've been using the Kroger Plus "Card" on my phone via the Kroger app. I think I get the same discounts as a VIC. Practically speaking, in general, parking is easy at this Harris Teeter. It's usually never crowded. The store is clean and the customer service is good. We've yet to have a bad experience here.

We are all entitled to our own opinions right? Well here's mine: Location: 5 Parking: 5 Decor/Ambiance: 5 Customer Service: 4 Open 24:7 ... that's right seven days a week twenty four hours a day... and in Durham! The best thing smoking in this area. This location is always clean. And they are always stocked with everything I need. The staff is friendly and the location is kool. I'm just excited about it being open 24 hours a day. I wish the hot bar in the Asian bar was open 24 hours a day.

Sorry excuse for a manager. Hung up on me today while trying to correct messed up online order.

Two managers hung up on me last night one even went home instead of fixing my online order. Over 6 pounds of hamburger and 6 pounds of raw chicken were wrong. This has gone on 3 1/2 years. Two managers hung up on me last night one even went home instead of fixing my online order. Over 6 pounds of hamburger and 6 pounds of raw chicken were wrong. This has gone on 3 1/2 years. Our hamburger and chicken orders wrapped in brown paper head blank stickers. Gave no weight ingredient, date and the percentage of hamburger I bought. It was supposed to be 93%. They do this about every other month even though there are specific instructions. Every butcher knows he supposed to put a sticker with a weight date ingredients etc. April 2016 we started online shopping at Harris Teeter Hope Valley Commons. September 14, 2019 and our order for hamburger and chicken is destroyed yet again. We have no idea what they have wrapped in brown paper because there are no sticker identifying it to me. This happens about 95% of the time since 2016. We have stayed with this company because I am Handicap and need the online service. I order once a month why is it so hard to get my order correct. I give explicit notes.

Always a pleasant experience here. I've shopped at this Harris Teeter several times already and it's safe to say I'll continue to be a frequent shopper. There is great variety in the store and it is always kept clean. I love the sushi here (on par with Whole Foods sushi) and have been getting it every time I do my grocery shopping. It's fresh and also very reasonably priced. You also can't leave without stopping by the wine & beer aisle. It has great selection for a grocery store. There is also a Starbucks at the entrance as well as a pharmacy. You're definitely paying a bit more for most items than you would at the average grocery store, but I don't find the prices to be that bad or unreasonable. I usually come on a Friday or Sunday and have never had a problem with parking. I guess I don't usually come here during peak hours, but I've only experienced long lines once, and that was a day or two before a snowstorm. (Well, I'm from the Northeast, so "snowstorm.")

I helped host a baby shower and was in charge of flowers. I had purchased cute boxes on Amazon and decided I would try HT for the arrangements. I have never used them previously. I brought my boxes in and Robin in floral at the Wakefield HT was amazing. The four arrangements turned out beautiful and received numerous compliments. I have attached photos. It was very easy to work with her and she came up with beautiful arrangements at reasonable pricing. I will definitely be back!

I am totally appalled at what I just witnessed at Harris teeter grocery store. Two people sitting at the bar that is now inside this store drinking while their infant is in the cart. This (bar) claims to be so you can taste test a variety of alcohol but the glasses in front of these individuals are clearly full size. So I will never spend another penny at this store. And though the store may say you can't make people make good choices you still don't need a (bar) in a grocery store.

They have 2 locations- Raleigh and Durham. The entire store is filled with wines from all over the world. The best part? None of them are from big companies. Every single one of them are from local/ small businesses (You can see some of the business owners photos by the wines!). The owner/ founder of Wine Authorities has been working with a lot of the wineries for many years. They taste every new batch they purchase to ensure quality. Although they have many businesses they've been working with for a long time, they go to wine shows and events in Europe to discover new ones! I like my wine very sweet but there were so many choices that I was a bit overwhelmed. I asked the nice lady at the register to give me recommendations and I loved the wine she recommended. If you are a bit overwhelmed with all the choices, just ask for help. They are very informative and helpful! Aside from their amazing wine, they also have beer, cider, sake, hot sauce, honey, meats, and etc. You will find at least one thing you will love. On Saturdays, they have free wine tastings from 12-3pm! If you cannot make it there on time, you can always buy a bottle or two. They will give you glasses to drink in the back or outside if the weather is nice outside! You can also buy snacks or cheese to go with your wines. Also, if you are a little hungry, you can buy a bottle from Wine Authorities and head to Thai Cafe next door and they will let you drink there without extra charge!

If you would enjoy buying 50 and 75+ $$ bottles you can find excellent selections but if your budget is more modest and you are looking for $15-25$ selections, you can buy with confidence as well. Have been buying from them for years.. highly recommend. Love this purveyor.

Sorry to use such a terrible word, but I feel that there pretty much a racket of some sort. It set $20 more $25 promotion thing, it's a racket. Most of the prices are fair, but in order for them to recover the $20 or $25 off coupon they really puff up the prices on things like bread and such, so in the end in just one order they recover about $30-$35 to cover the coupon, what a racket. Oh, yell out the country, a racket is a nice name for someone involved in organized crime, yeah Teeter's is a racket. I could go on and on about problems with them, but I must say they got one thing that shines like a supernova, it's their little red truck the delivers the food your house, what a super job those deliveryman and women do. Always on time, always really nice, absolutely honest, not only do they not charge you a tip they will not accept it. If they could just get out of the racket thing, and go more when their little red truck thing, they put other grocery stores out of business. I wish they could understand this, it is so sad. To put it bluntly, can't nobody be Walmart's prices on groceries, Sam Walton would be so proud of them.
