I love that they have a great assortment of fresh produce for a decent price. They also have fresh meat, diary, frozen food and shelf food items as well. You can catch weekly deals of items that are mostly one-time deals, so get them if you can! One thing I was not crazy about this store is the limited staff, but I believe that is one of the reasons the prices are low. You do have to pay 25 cents for a cart via a system of inserting a quarter in the device on the cart to unleash it, but when you return the cart and place the plastic insert into the previous cart's device, you'll get it back. You also need to bring your own bags or purchase them in store (paper or plastic). Some stores have self-checkout (such is this one) which is a great option. All in all, a decent grocery store with fresh, low-cost items.

We nearly bumped into other customers multiple times. It was an unpleasant and frankly disorganized experience. There were also hundreds of empty boxes sitting on the shelves waiting to be discarded. It really seems like they don't have an overnight crew for stocking and cleaning -- everything was being done during the busiest hours, which felt completely mismanaged and not cool at all. Lidl off we go, it is down the street.

When you get there, you're sure to be met with security guards, some with or without bullet proof vests. There are people lingering/ loitering outside for various reasons, particularly in the summer. Some are hacking, selling "things", and waiting for people to leave the store to ask them if they need help with their groceries. One of the reasons people will need help with their groceries is because the carts cannot exit beyond the cement pillars. So, if someone is shopping by themselves and has bags that would require more than one trip to the vehicle. They would have to leave their cart and get their vehicle or ask someone for help which can lead to a number of other issues. These options are a major safety concern particularly for women shopping alone. Food Depot a good place to get staples and a few things when you don't have time to travel to your favorite stores. The quality of the fish varies. I have seen fish displayed that have obviously decayed beyond an acceptable amount of time and was destined for the trash weeks prior. If you go on a good day, you can get great quality wild caught fish which is a bonus for those looking for a relatively good price. The fish mongers are the professional and knowledgeable. This department is the primary reason I go to the store. The Hot foods section looks unappetizing and unhealthy. I had a horrible experience with a cashier who was the only lane open for people with more than 20 items. I have vision issues beyond the need to wear glasses and I was barely able to make out on the screen that she charged me twice for onion rings; however, I only had one bag. she grabbed another bag of chips and asked me if I could see this bag (which she held in her hand) and asked me if I could see this bag up there (on the screen) I said no. She said, " that's because the other bag of chips could not scan so, I scanned the onion rings twice. That cashier needs training, she didn't have to ask me if I saw this bag on the screen. She should have simply explained one bag couldn't scan so I scanned this one twice. That was insulting, and disability (vision) harassment. I paid and left, without the intent to return. When you check out, you'll see vendors along the wall selling T-shirts, hats, perfumes, etc. that section makes the store look like a flea market. And, then you see the broken glass exit door, which makes you wonder what happened here. Then, the cycle begins again, people with various purposes are waiting outside. It's a shame, food depot could be better if they had better customer service, management and removed the riff raff. This type of experiences is one, if not the only reason I spend/ grocery shop only in the county. I have been trying to spend money in urban communities, however, experiences like this make it difficult.

Walking in it was bright and spacious, but when i walked through the gate I was shocked at what I saw. The store is nothing like Aldi as far as the lay out. The isles are bigger for sure so more than 2 people can be in the area at the same time. But it's so far apart you have to go back up the other side. They have a lot of fruit and veggies and the prices are good. Moving here from Alaska the prices are amazing. Nothing like what I'm used to. I got my fruits and veggies and moved on to the bakery. I signed up for the Lidl Plus app to get more of the deals. At the bakery I looked for the pretzel I could get for free because I downloaded said app. They look nothing like the picture, and it was hard as a rock. It's like it was left over from the day before. The meat section was ample. I got two packs of wings, being here I saved like $3.50 buying them here. Two packs of legs and with these I saved about $5 each. I got some more meats and seafood and headed for the other isles to get some shelf stable items. They have a great selection and some name brands as well. Score! Water was 2/$4, each pack was a 24 count. I picked out a few things and went back to the seasoning since I forgot to look. The selection is not the same as Aldi. They just had the basics and some Old Bay. That's the only difference I saw. The workers are amazing and they work fast. They did t make you feel like they are rushing you so they can get through the line. Green flag for me. All in all we loved the store and we will be back.
