I found this doctor through Google, and during the consultation he was friendly, attentive, and made me feel confident about moving forward. Unfortunately, my experience changed completely after the surgery. I never saw the surgeon again. Every postoperative visit was handled by someone else, and whenever I asked to speak with him, I was told he was busy with consultations. Instead, I was forced to communicate through his coordinator/personal assistant, who acted as the middle person for everything. When a nurse removed my stitches, I discovered that my entire tummy tuck incision had trapped skin (dog ears/skin caught along the incision), leaving me with a botched result. I was shocked and devastated. I had no opportunity to discuss it directly with the surgeon because he was never available. To make matters worse, I was in significant pain after surgery and couldn't even reach the doctor for pain medication. Despite repeated attempts, I could only get responses through his assistant. Eventually, I had to schedule an appointment with my primary care physician just to obtain pain medication for a surgery that this surgeon had performed. The lack of postoperative care and communication was unacceptable. A surgeon's responsibility doesn't end once the operation is over. Patients deserve follow-up care, answers to their concerns, and direct access to the doctor when complications arise. Because of the poor surgical outcome, I had to seek another plastic surgeon and spend thousands of additional dollars to repair the damage caused by my first surgery. No patient should have to pay twice for the same procedure because of inadequate surgical results and lack of accountability. If you are considering this surgeon, I encourage you to carefully research not only the consultation experience but also how patients are treated after surgery. My experience was one of the most stressful and disappointing medical experiences I've ever had, and I cannot recommend him.

Dr. Epstein's expertise with Preserve is what sold me. Honestly, the part I was most nervous about was going under anesthesia. Because Preserve is so minimally invasive, I was able to have sedation instead. Dr. Spaliaris, the anesthesiologist, was an angel. She called me the night before to walk me through everything, and by the time I was in the OR I felt completely relaxed and genuinely excited for the procedure to start. That says a lot coming from someone who was terrified. The whole thing was quick. I was in and out in about three hours. My son had two surgeries with dr Sparano to correct both functional and aesthetic issues .The…read morefirst surgery went wrong because a month after the operation, his nose went back to how it was before and my son couldn't breathe properly .The doctor then suggested doing a several procedures in his office to fix the problem , but none of them worked. He later recommended a second surgery to correct the issue, this time billing the insurance to cover the costs. However, the surgery also failed . My son has allergies and still can't breathe well, so I took him to another doctor who ordered X Rays. The images clearly show that his septum is still deviated .The new doctor advised against any further surgeries since my son has already undergone four failed procedures on his nose, and additional operations are not recommended . Having a cosmetic procedure which is not cheap and not getting the results you were promised is very disappointing .

Although I've been to this practice before, I brought my 18-year-old daughter for her first…read morenon-pediatric visit. She has a lot of concerns, has long had difficulty being taken seriously at the pediatricians' practice, and increasingly complained of discomfort and palpitations for over a week prior to her visit. I booked through ZocDoc, so it didn't actually generate a true appointment with the younger Dr. Hertz. I would have understood being moved to a different day, but on a busy Sunday, they still fit my daughter in to see the other Dr. (Howard) Hertz. Yes, there was a wait, which is to be expected on a Sunday and I brought a book. My daughter wanted to go in alone (her first time) and she was very apprehensive, and had been distressed in the days prior due to intensifying discomfort and broad symptoms. She came out of her visit extremely relieved, her concerns addressed, and with some testing appointments scheduled. She is afraid of blood draws, and said the nurses gave her an alcohol pad to sniff (normally I am there with her, so she was probably more anxious). In her entire medical history, she has always felt like any symptom she asked about was unaddressed, and the change in her demeanor after her visit was immediate - she was no longer scared she was seriously ill or on the verge of death. So on a busy Sunday, Dr. Hertz had a billion patients and still managed to make my sensitive/shy teenager feel heard, seen, and safe. I wasn't present so I didn't get the chance to explain her distress and discomfort, and he and the nurses noticed and addressed it anyway. My daughter is relaxed now and feels relieved, and I am so impressed that every person with whom she interacted made her feel safer and calmer. And I finally got to read my book!
