His communication was clear and direct as to Do's and Don'ts of after care.. I followed to the T... no pain during surgery, but once numbing agent wore off, the pain was intense.. I did not want to take oxy, but I simply had no choice. I took Oxy the first night and the next morning, after that, I did not rely on any pain meds.. I had surgery on a Thurs. and was walking at the park for a mile on Friday.. Sat. no pain meds and drove out to a horse rescue farm out East (I live in Westbury)... A 3 ON THE PAIN METER... I'm four days from surgery and I'm back to work with my clients... no bending, or lifting anything with weight.. scaled back my work schedule to accommodate healing, but I FEEL SUPER FANTASTIC!!!! highly recommend this procedure under local.. Dr. Warm and I met three times prior to the surgery as to make sure we were on the same page. I find him to have superior listening skills and excellent memory which IMHO is super important. I am four days in from this surgery and seem to be healing nicely.. He and I went back and forth re: to do lipo in conjunction with the lift or not to do it... I left it up to him and he felt I could get away without doing lipo, but as I'm healing, I think I should have done a bit of lipo under the chin.. I will speak with him about this at the end of this week when we meet up again for a follow up.. I have no complaints thus far... Staff is fabulous and friendly; Nancy, Dawn and David are the bees knees and the vibe in the office is ultra "chill." I also had lipo on my back that aswell is not semetrical I had that revised aswell, and it is still not semetrical... he did do those for no out of pocket charge, but still I paid over $25,000 for this surgery and I am not okay with the results, I can not have any other no charge fixes, it is just annoying because I didnt botch it they did so it should be fixed. What a difference…read more I had horrible large veins in my legs making it impossible for me to wear shorts or dresses and even bathing suits. I just felt horrible about myself. But going to Dr. Schulman has changed everything for me. First of all, his staff is just wonderful!! And Dr. Schulman is very, very nice and has a great sense of humor! He has such a gentle touch- the whole process was pain free. I had such unbelievably great results, I asked Dr. Schulman if I could do the veins in my hands- they, too, were quite large. He showed me results from previous patients he had done and I am thrilled with my results also...and it's guaranteed for life!! These doctors are hard to find since not everyone is certified to perform this type of exam. I called several places and many either no longer existed or were not taking new pilots. Luckily, Dr Panzer's office was only about ten minutes from me. I stopped by without an appointment, not realizing walk-ins are not really accepted even though some of their online listings make it seem that way. To clarify, there are two separate medical offices in the same building, and only one side is Dr Panzer's practice where he handles FAA exams. The other side is unrelated. Even without an appointment, they were kind enough to fit me in. I waited a short time since another patient ahead of me needed extra attention, which was understandable. The nurse who took my vitals and Dr Panzer himself were both professional and courteous. The entire experience was smooth and welcoming. I left feeling genuinely satisfied and relieved to have found a good FAA medical examiner nearby. Highly recommend this place to any pilot who needs their FAA medical done right.
