Almond Tree Oasis - winter view of the orchard bordering the park--very peaceful and quiet!

Dustin welcomed us and was so accomodating and helpful. If you are ever going through central Cali and need a great place to stay for the night, I would highly recommend Almond Tree Oasis.

Stayed there for a few months and the highlight was seeing Sadie. Sadie was a stray dog being cared for by long term residents at the park. She was a very calm dog who would just follow the people she knew and relax and lay down. She was there for months. Very calm and peaceful dog which was why I think we liked her so much was how calm she was especially being a stray. Unfortunately the owner Serena had the humane Society to come and get her saying Sadie was aggressive and biting dogs at the park. Which was a lie. When the humane society officer came and picked her up 5 people were telling the him that wasn't true and she lied so they would be forced to pick her up. But he had to pick her out and put it down on her record. He said it's a red flag which makes it nearly impossible for her to be adopted and most likely be euthanized. She sealed her fate with a lie. There were other ways to go about the situation. The owner is a cold hearted and cruel person. The park itself is maintained but they have a field rat and fly problem. We move around a lot and never have had an issue with mice or rats. While we were there a rats got into the carriage of our rig. The next day I called the office to ask them if there are mice or rats and they said yes field rats and said they had an experience with one there as well. Gross. The flys can get out of control there as well. Definitely will not stay here again and don't recommend staying here. Sad that I got to see just how inhumane and cold the owners are. Not a place I will spend my money at ever again. RIP Sadie

The views were actually quite picturesque (on the non-truck stop side). All the amenities you need are available and serviceable though a little run down. Laundry, pool, playground, dog park, picnic tables at each site, good wifi. Hosts were friendly and helpful. And there's a Punjabi food truck available on site breakfast through late night! As well as chain options and a large grab and go selection at the truck stop. Drip irrigation uses well water that's a bit sulfury which was off-putting when the water first switched on but not a big deal once the source was discovered.

Awesome glad to be able to pull in for the night. Full hookups, but we only used electric since we were leaving early the next morning. RV park has easy access off the highway, and nice pull-through sites so we didn't have to unhook our tow vehicle. Although fairly close to the freeway, we didn't really hear the traffic. What we did hear were idling big rigs, because the park is near a truck stop. We had a sound machine, so we plugged it in and listened to rain, which drowned out the trucks pretty well. I took a nice walk around the park. Located next to the park is a field that contained about a dozen goats. Cute. There seemed to be only a few long term residents, and their sites were relatively uncluttered. Overall, the perfect midway stop.

It's literally across from the fishing area, picnic area, farthest from the traffic and road noise. The water has a fountain and ongoing movement of water, perhaps that's why it seems more natural looking vs stagnant and gross. Most of this area and the opposite side of the river is undeveloped so it has a nature feel that most campsites I've been to don't give. And I've been to lots of them. My Hubby and sons caught like 7, 8, and 20 fish they said. All catch and release. Tons of catfish & bass. Some are so huge. Keep staring at the water near the small metal dock there and you might see them all. We are in site 122. The road noise woke me up at 6am, so I put in my earplugs and slept until 9am. For my future self, make sure to keep a permanent earplug stash in the RV. Other times I've been in other sites and the noise wasn't an issue and we've stayed here at least 3-4x. It's not glamorous, it doesn't have a ton of extra like a pool, putting greens, pool table, snack bar, etc. But it does have a small, shaded kids play area, volleyball net, basketball hoop, shaded picnic tables. It's so country feeling and relaxing. Its quiet & thats what I prefer when I go camping. This is one of my favorite camping spots in the cooler months of early Spring like March. One day I'd like to come here & camp on my way to Yosemite or Kings Canyon. Great rates & highly suggest.
