Our salon's A/C went down, which can be a huge problem. They rescheduled another job to get to us quickly, called before they came and got there early. Wouldn't it be nice if everyone did business that way? Their labor price is very competitive. We called a number of companies and chose Harris based on price. If I could leave 0 stars, I would. This was one of the most unprofessional service experiences I've ever had. The technician was rude and dismissive from the start. The A/C belongs to my mom, who is currently out of town, and we have guests staying at the house, so we were trying to make the best decision on her behalf. The technician arrived around 4:45 p.m., diagnosed the issue, and called my mom at 5:02 p.m., but she missed the call. He then called me at 5:03 p.m. while I was already driving to the house. I answered, he explained the problem, and I immediately called my mom so we could discuss the repair. I arrived at the house by about 5:10 p.m. and let my mom and her fiancé speak with him over the phone. We were deciding between paying to repair the failed part or having someone install a brand-new unit that they already had at the house. He explained that he doesn't install equipment he didn't sell, which we completely understood. We simply needed a few minutes to decide which option made the most sense. By approximately 5:15 p.m.--only about 13 minutes after his first attempt to contact my mom--we made our decision. I had my card in hand and told him to go ahead with the repair because we needed the A/C working and didn't want to worry about the new unit. Instead, he refused to do the repair, said we had been "too back and forth" and taken too long to decide, charged us the $125 service fee, and left. We were never refusing service or wasting his time. We were simply taking a few minutes to make a decision with the homeowner, who wasn't even in town. Thirteen minutes is not an unreasonable amount of time for a repair decision that involved hundreds of dollars. Now we're stuck paying another service fee for our regular A/C technician to come fix the issue. I wish we had just waited for him instead of trying someone new because we needed help quickly. Lesson learned. I would not recommend this company and would avoid them. read more

It was time! My 15 year old A/C was overheating, the motor was struggling and it was about to bite the dust. I was given an outrageous quote for $9,551.00 from ARS Rescue Rooters after their Home Depot $19 Tune Up (yeah I fell right into that one!) To the rescue, came Scott Harris of Harris Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. Scott and his loyal crew Dalton and Jerome are professional and, despite installing the new one in the hot sun, they did a fantastic job, and with a joke and a smile. Personally, I think I saved myself a lot of trouble. You can trust Scott. He kinda reminds me of my brother -- because he does right by the customer. read more

Amazing. They found a partially collapsed duct that nobody else could. Many looked, but never actually looked inside, just for damage outside. Thanks to his thorough job, my hot room is livable once more. Due to that we entrusted them to replace the entire inside & outside units. Great job, nice people, couldn't ask for anything more than that. read more

When they came late last year to inspect our AC unit, they gave us a quote, but did not realize that we had a dual unit (downstairs/upstairs) and they did not include that in the original quote. In mid-February we called them to schedule the job, a complete replacement of our AC system. At that point, they realized that they made a mistake on the quote, but they honored the original price, even thought the difference was about $1,500.00. Scott, who I believe is the owner, told us that because that was their mistake, they would do the work as it's supposed to be done, without charging any additional charge. Moreover, before they leave, they left us a box with 12 2in filters, which they said were included in the original quote. However, when I looked at the quote, I did not see any note regarding the filters. They explained to me that it's standard for them to leave a one year supply of filters, and because of that, they do not make it explicit in the quote. This speaks volumes of their honesty, because, as the filters were not in the quote, they could have keep them, given that they have already lost money on our work. Additionally, the crew was very professional and respectful. They took the time to walk me through everything they did and why they did it. They even fixed a couple of things the builders did not build correctly, like the concrete slab for the system, which keeps the unit more secure in case of hurricanes and helps the unit stay drier, and keep it less exposed to loose grass (and I know all this, because they took the time to explain what they did and why they did it, like I was a kindergarten kid). Overall, we have a new AC system, two zone controls (remember one was installed for free), two thermostats (again, one was installed for free), one concrete base for the unit, and a new condenser; all for a fraction of the price it should have cost us. read more
