Very clean establishment with multiple sizes of washers to fit everyone's needs and wi-fi!! There was a bill exchanger and coin change machines on premises. A bathroom is available for customers to use. The air conditioning felt great. They not only had a soap center vending machine for all your laundry needs, but also a soda machine and snack vending machine available and well-stocked The attendant on duty was kind, helpful, and ensured the place was clean and helped customers who had difficulty using the machines. I highly recommend this place if you are staying at a local hotel that doesn't have laundry services or if you live in the area. I was at Harold's a little while ago. Here's the positive and negative: This place is cleaner than other laundromats I've been to and typically it's worth paying a bit more for that and other reasons IMO. There is usually an employee walking around, answering questions, and cleaning the washers and dryers shortly after every use (most of the time). However, I'm disappointed that today, a white man in his late 40s walked in without a mask and never put one on despite the signs. He kept slamming his clothes on the counters, slamming dryer doors, and was rude to other customers. The employee saw him do this a couple of times, and I almost can't blame her for not saying anything about him not wearing a mask, as I think she was alone -- this business really should have better security. Ironically, this same man later showed complete deference to a tattooed Latino who walked in and then proceeded to tell the tattooed man how much he "loved everyone, including him" (which was a weird, coded thing to say to the Latino man). He wouldn't stop talking to the tattooed man and then he told him that "the Bible is his favorite book" and urged him to read it every day. Yet he kept being rude to pretty much everyone around him. So much hypocrisy and so little self-awareness in this man. So much for the values of loving everyone and being kind that he had claimed to cherish just minutes prior. read more

The cleanest laundry mat I have ever been in! The person there that watches the place seems to work non stop to clean the place. Has great equipment, fair prices and folding tables. There is a tv. They have vending machines for soap, softener, bleach. You should bring your own stuff if you can though. This is a nice well lit place. read more

Needed to wash a few blankets so I was also in need of a Laundromat! Found this place due to some good old fashion advertising! There was an ad in my mail! What's better is super close to me! Plenty of parking and a bunch of brand new washer and dryers. There is an attendant there should you need some help with the machines or have any questions. Everything is very nice and clean. Let's hope our patrons do their part in keeping it that way! They have two tv's to help you kill time and outlets in each folding station in case you need to charge something while you wait. They offer a wash and fold service if that better suits your needs too. The attendant was very nice and helpful. I'm sure to come back! read more

I just moved from Virginia Beach, Virginia and this is a great laundromat! Its very inexpensive, very clean and convenient to the university area! They have a change machine to break larger bills and a machine to make quarters. The attendant is constantly moving, cleaning and helping customers! Do recommend! read more

We have been to this laundromat multiple times and have had a good experience. Each time we go in, there is a gentleman who is keeping everything clean and the folks there doing laundry are chill as well. The single star is for the lady with the purple shirt who was working there this morning. I was trying to exchange a $50 bill in their machine and it wasn't working. My partner approached the woman who was working there and let her know what was happening and the woman tried to put the $50 bill into the machine as well but it still didn't work. She then held the bill up to the light and mentioned that she could grab money from the back or something and then kept looking at the bill. She then asked if we had been in before and when we told her yes she rudely said she hadn't seen us before and decided not to help break the $50 bill because she couldn't tell if it was real or not. She then went and asked someone else if they would break it for us even though we said it was ok and that person said no anyway. I ended up going to the bank and getting 5 rolls of quarters and coming back to finish our laundry. It's hard to convey how this woman was treating us through this review but it was very disrespectful and we hope to never have to interact with her again. She could have just said, "sorry, I can't help you if the machine won't take it," instead she did all of the above. My problem isn't with her not breaking the $50 - my problem is with the way she spoke to us and handled the situation. I travel for work as a healthcare professional and to think that on my days off I'm not even treated with decency by the community I serve - it's disheartening. Shout out to the gentleman who works in the afternoons and I hope to never interact with that lady ever again. The laundromat itself I would give 4 stars - the washers work well as do the dryers and it's usually pretty clean there. read more

I love Harold's Laundry on Girard. I love it! It's reliable, it's always clean, and the lady who is usually there is kind. Everything smells good. Everything works good. The prices are really really good especially for the value. They also have free dryers Wednesday and Thursday so take advantage. The dryers dry quickly even on medium and low. Even though the dryers are hot they don't shrink or burn your clothes - the temperature is perfect. Their coin machines are reliable. They have vending machines, a restroom, and free fast wifi. Grateful to have this awesome laundromat close to my community. Also the people from the community who attend this laundromat are nice, helpful, and clean people. Probably the only clean laundromat in Albuquerque, but the woman on staff was very unkept herself and also took up half the dryers with dry cloths for over 40 minutes. A tad bit annoying to not have any top load dryers.Over all I would definitely come back to this place to do laundry. read more

This place appears to be well kept and serviced. Twice I have been here while in business in Albuquerque. The machines were plentiful and easy to use and quiet. There are two flat screen televisions, change machines both quarters and bill changers and soap and dryer sheets. Although I brought my own supplies. Well this was the first time ever for me to need a laundry mat. The thought of using common laundry equipment gives me the eebie-geebies so today was a huge step. So...I went to my Yelpers for help finding a good one. Harold's came up with a couple good reviews and one was about cleanliness. Ok, I'll bite. When walking up to the front door I instantly noticed the shiny machines. Super sano looking. People inside were also fairly clean. Ok sweet. There is a bill exchanger and 2 coin machines. Went in on a Thursday evening to do laundry because they advertised "Free Dry" on Wednesday and Thursday. When I went to load the dryer, it seemed like the "Free Dry" was not working correctly. I located the attendant and asked "I thought you offered "Free Dry" on Wednesday and Thursday?" "Yeah, that's correct." she confirmed. So I said, "Well, I can't get this dryer to start. Maybe I'm not understanding something. Can you help me?" "Yeah", she said. So, I walked out to the dryer in question, thinking she was right behind me. I turn around, she nowhere to be seen. I wait a minute, still nothing. I go back to the little room where the attendant hangs out, and explain things again and ask for her assistance. This time she actually come out. I point her to the dryer with my clothes that won't start, and she says "Oh, that's not one of the free ones." I explained that the sign says that you offer "Free Dry" on Wednesday and Thursday, to which she responded, "Yeah, that's right." So, I said please start the dryer. She said "That's not one of the free ones." and pointer so a few other dryers, already loaded with clothes and running and said those ones are free. I said "You mean to tell me that your "Free Dry" on Wednesday and Thursday consists of only some machines?" "Yeah, that's right." So, there you go... that's the sort of ethics you can expect from Harold's Laundry. I've been around this place for years. Prior to their big remodel and replacing all their machines, they had plenty of machines that did not function correctly, dryers that either didn't get hot or got insanely hot and would melt anything but cotton, no attendant to be found, machines that took coins and then did nothing, etc. Thankfully, after their remodel, most (nearly all) of their machines seem to be in good working order. It's a workable laundry. One would expect to be able to wash their clothes after loading a bunch of quarters in their machines. The basic premise of exchange of cash for clean clothes is honored, but I wouldn't expect much else from this business. read more
