Scheduled 6 visits to complete this crown (although completed in 4 after I expressed concern about the timeline). I've had 3 crowns in the past, each has been completed in 2 visits. I'm a certified medical coder, and I think he stretches out the visits so that he can code and charge for seperate components (and higher payments) rather than bill for a combination treatment that would be done in a single visit. The provider does not speak to the patient, only to the staff (over the patient's head). The only saving grace is that his staff are polite and welcoming.

I couldn't understand, as my wife and I had been seeing this dentist, in Ithaca, for many years! I was in terrible pain, for days. I contacted Dr. Whipple's office based, on his existing rating. After describing what my issue was, the staff at Seven Valley Dental, arranged for me to see the Dr., in less than an hour and a half. That is unheard of! Amazing. The Dr. helped with my dental issue, prior to a prearranged appointment with an oral specialist, later that day. My general dentist did NOTHING to help me! Again, I have no idea why not. I contacted the office three (3) times, about my plight. Awful! My wife and I are seniors and need stability and assurance that our dental needs will be met with understanding and compassion. Dr. Whipple and his entire staff at Seven Valley Dental provided that for me. I understand that this review is my own personal experience. It doesn't even have that awful dentist office smell! I was pleased with the way Dr. Whipple explained my dental issues and what the appropriate treatment would be. Be aware that they don't perform root canals in office, but refer you to an endodontist, which can be good or bad. For me, it's inconvenient to have to go to another office (hence the four star rating), but there's certainly nothing wrong with having a specialist do the procedure. I plan to have my routine care at Seven Valley Dental from now on.
