Harmony vet center is not good enough for a 1 star rating. My vet had retired and I went to Harmony because they were close. My cat had lost 50% of his body weight and was not eating. I took him there and had a 8:30 appointment. I thought I would be in to see a vet ver quickly because of the early appointmen, I waited over an hour with no reason given. The vet said possibly he wasn't eating because he might need his teeth to be cleaned. They gave him 3 injections and told me to buy some cosequin to sprinkle on his food and charged me $640. Told me to come back in 3 weeks. He wasn't eating dead in 3 days. Not my favorite vet. read more

Dr Brown and the whole group at Harmony Vet are amazing professionals and empathetic humans. They cared for Doug, my silky terrier, for 8 years. We have gone to Harmony for years. Since moving to the new location the service has gone down. Took our older dog and the vet never did come back to tell us the results of X-Rays. I had to ask for the vet to come back and give us the results. Then we were left in the room forgotten about while the staff started to close down. I had to ask for the medication for my dog and to be checked out. So very disappointed in the vets that we have seen in recent visits. I do not recommend going here. read more

We have been going to Harmony for a few years, they're expensive. We brought our dog in for a teeth cleaning and for some reason, they removed a tumor from her anus. After some reservations returning there after our last debacle with Harmony's lack of professionalism (poor communication on the regular) I think we're done going there, Wheatridge Animal Hospital is further from our home but never ever did things like Harmony does. Think twice about using this vet, they say they'll call you with your test results etc. but rarely follow up. We gave Harmony the benefit of the doubt, this was the last straw. Our 13 year old dog went in for a teeth cleaning and left with a tumor removed from her Anus. Makes sense. read more

We LOVE the Staff and DVM Brown! She's phenomenally communicative and gentle with her patients- my fearful Wirehaired Pointer male even fell in love with her! When we first arrived, there was a sweet lady tech that greeted us and offered everything we could need or want. We met a male tech whom went out of his way to make Two Shot comfortable and was extremely patient with him also. Veronica worked with him through a stressful blood draw like a dream, very mindful and swift. And our Vet- WOW!! I've never had a more thorough, educating and gentle experience anywhere. Wow, what a difference to my prior vet. They are welcoming, thorough, realistically priced and able to schedule appointments immediately. My prior vet is still on Covid protocol, so you have to drop your pet off and wait in your car, thus, communication is awful. I met with Dr. Brown for my 14 year-old Chihuahua who is having a lot of geriatric type issues (can't hear, can't see, refusing to use the pet door, high protein in urine, etc.). Dr. Brown spent at least an hour with us and our pet, fully explained everything she was doing and gave us tips on how to manage our dog better. The staff, including the front desk and assistant were awesome. They were friendly and listened to us . . . Actual customer service! The facility was very clean and welcoming with dog beds and toys in the waiting rooms and the staff constantly gave my pet treats to keep her calm and relaxed during the examination. I've had numerous dogs for over 35 years and feel this is the best vet I've every patronized. I will continue with the practice into the foreseeable future. read more

Yesterday we did a hard thing and said goodbye to our 15 year old border collie. I appreciated the separate entrance to the "comfort room". There was a couch, comfortable chairs, pillows to sit on and a dog bed. This was not an exam room but a room designed for just this purpose. They gave us treats to give Coach and as much time as we needed. I was thankful I did not have to walk through the clinic and see other dog families. We entered and left privately. This wasn't the first vet clinic that I chose to take my fur children to. I took my dog to a more holistic clinic in Denver. I didn't have a bad experience, it just wasn't the right fit. So I kept doing research and came across this office. I took my 12 year old cat to see Dr. Brown and was very pleased with the care from start to finish. I think it was Sara that I spoke with to schedule his appointment and she was very sweet and professional. Tina and John were the two techs that assisted Dr. Brown at our visit. Turns out our cat needed some major dental work and had lost a lot of weight because he was so uncomfortable and had thyroid issues. I know, I'm a horrible mother! :( Anywho, Tina and John were very kind and helping us get our cat started on vit D injections and discussed his dental procedure and what to expect. My husband and I greatly appreciated the time they took with us and our cat. I appreciate the approach that Dr. Brown took for our cats health.On top of having dental and thyroid issues.We were also given supplement powders to help with further dental issues as well as a probiotic powder to add to his food to help balance his gut biome. I'm all about holistic health and avoiding medications if possible. I'm excited for our appointment this Sat for our dog to get established with Dr. Brown. Why wait until your pet is sick. I had the most epic veterinary experience with Harmony Vet in Arvada. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine the veterinary consultation would go as it did.... Their practice is extraordinary. I have been to many a "holistic" vet only to find them be overpriced and really not that great and really not that holistically minded. We are taking "western" action by going the surgery route, but I feel so confident in what will be done to balance it holistically. Seriously the minute Julia entered the treatment room, Koa and Qaisuke's energy changed to one of utter calm, changed to match her surrender to Connection and the Divine. Never in my life did I expect the expansiveness and the redefinition of what it truly means to be holistic that I received from them. They spent a total of 2 hours with us including the financial consult (and for $52!). Julia gave Koa energy work and massage while we were talking. She could read the energy of our entire social and familial and household constellations. we touched on cancer from the scientific, artistic, psychological, emotional, spiritual, physical, social and cosmic standpoints. The depth of this learning experience brings me to my knees. I am not afraid of cancer. As Julia/Dr. Shelley said it, removal of the tumors "buys us more time to learn the lesson." How I love Koa and all that he has taken on the sacrifice he has made for me to reflect back to me all that I need to heal in myself. read more

I have had a great experience with the quality of care from HVC. However, trying to get Dr. Brown to call back for follow up information is nothing short of pulling teeth and often requires more than three phone calls to FINALLY get a short email in response. And if I have follow up questions to the email, well, good luck trying to get back in touch. This happens every. single .time. We have been to Harmony several times for both our dogs. Luckily we haven't had any major concerns, but they have always been honest over the phone to take our dog to urgent care if they didn't have availability. The practice is relatively new and booming. Again though, they have always been honest with slow communication. I think they do a great job. They listen to us puppy parents. The location itself has plenty of parking. The offices are clean. They have treats to keep an anxious dog calm. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I'm happy with their services. read more

I am so thankful to have found Harmony for my two dogs. I've taken my dogs to other Vets for their first few years of their lives but never felt comfortable with the Vets, Vet Techs, or environment....my dogs were never comfortable either! They would always cry and get really nervous. They NEVER have done that at Harmony! The staff truly ooos and goos over every animal that walks in the door and makes everyone feel at home. I absolutely LOVE the fact that Harmony offers alternative care as well as western medicine! My 4 lb chihuahua had been having intestinal issues for as long as I can remember (she's 12 now) but in the last 6 months it had gotten horrific. We had spent lots and lots of time and $ in and out of our vet, where she was constantly put on antibiotics, steroids and other medications to combat her "infections" and stomach issues. All the while the "western medicine" approach was hurting and failing her, as those meds came with awful sometimes permanent side effects. From the moment I got off the phone with the lovely front desk staff, I knew this place was different. She was compassionate, empathetic and very thorough on the phone. Asking questions that my normal vet had never even cared to know the answers to. They called twice to check on her before her appt date, and they hadn't even met her yet!!! When I got there, the staff was warm, friendly, offered me water, and got us immediately into a room so that my dog could relax. The room was set up much different from your "standard vet" office. It was larger and comfier .The cold metal table was folded up and into the wall (only brought down when necessary) and we had a nice basket of toys with a large comfy featherbed on the floor, did I mention all the treats? Irie (my dog) was so happy and comfortable vs the other office where she had to stand only on that metal table the whole time. The vet tech was amazing and thorough, she had a calm energy that Irie loved. She even let the tech put a thermometer up her booty,which she has NEVER let anyone do!!! In fact, every vet appt she had prior to this one (all at other vet offices) involved her being drugged on Benadryl and muzzled. Muzzled!!! This time she is licking the tech that just took her temp!!Instead of Irie screaming, clawing,biting and snarling, (which was typical behavior for her only when she went to the vet) she was kissing, licking and loving on the tech. Wow what a difference! And the doctor??? Oh my gosh, Dr. Regis is amazing!! Her calm demeanor soothed Irie immediately! I hadn't seen my dog love on ANYONE like that in years...let alone someone she had never met! Dr. Regis got down on the floor and we did our exam there. It was so great to see the doc get down to the dogs level. I could barely even tell the "exam" was taking place...neither did Irie :) She picked up on the tiniest details with Irie, things that I had noticed, but I had been told by other vets was "irrelevant ". The knowledge of Chinese medicine with Western was so helpful and so enlightening, I was blown away. I spent about an hour there and I never once felt rushed or like they had another appt behind me. I felt like they were all solely focused on my dog and her needs. Everyone in there was so connected, they all were aware of everything that had to do with Irie, regardless of their job title. Dr Regis gave me a couple of very helpful charts on foods and herbs that would be helpful to her, and has a positive outlook that I can help Irie just by her diet alone. I usually leave the vet feeling hopeless, nervous, stressed, frustrated and sad...so does Irie, but today... I left feeling hopeful, positive, excited, armed with knowledge,and happy....as for Irie, well she didn't want to leave at all, she wanted to stay with Dr.Regis and all the amazing women there today!!!I know this is a novel, but I also know there are dog owners out there just like me, so this review is for you...this vet lives up to every single 5 star review it has. I love Harmony! We'd been to a couple different vets since moving to Colorado. One seemed not to care, and the other seemed to only care about getting as much money as possible from us. The experience at Harmony was completely different. Two years ago, our cat escaped out the backdoor. We looked EVERYWHERE for her, and emailed her picture to all of the vet offices in the area in case someone turned her in...including Harmony. Over the course of the week that our cat was hiding under the porch (In JANUARY) Harmony continued to check in to see how she was. Did I mention they weren't even our vet? So we tried them out and were so impressed. They've been our vet ever since. When our dog was diagnosed with cancer, Dr. Brown and Dr. Harris were so helpful and caring, answering all of my questions and continuing to offer help and support as he got sicker. When it finally came time to let him go, Dr. Harris came to our home and was so kind and sensitive, I'm kind of tearing up just thinking about it. The staff at Harmony CARES about the animals they see. They give you options for treatment and are okay with talking you through those options and whether they make sense for you. Bad and incomplete medicine. Dr. Brown sent my pup to an (expensive) specialist prior to determining basic medical facts. Shame on this practice. The referring specialist agreed that Dr. Browns tests were in fact unnecessary based on my pups symptoms, per Aplineglow - Dr. Monahan. Not to mention my past two messages took 72+ hours to return. I'm so glad that I was referred to Harmony Vet center from Pet Empawrium & Spaw. Dr. Brown runs a great vet clinic and her visits are top notch. She and her techs are willing to listen to all of the issues you have to divulge about your pet and really take their time in listening and being non-judgmental on how you choose to care for your pet. I split my veterinary care between VRCC for neurological appointments and a general vet for random issues. We visited Dr. Brown for some eye issues my min. schnauzer was having and it was the first time I felt truly comfortable. I choose to do minimal (to none) vaccinations for my pets, feed a grain-free healthy diet, and attempt alternative treatments whenever necessary. Obviously if a health problem warrants traditional treatment, I'm all for it, but what I really appreciated about Dr. Brown's practice was no pressure to conform to Hill's Science Diet crap dog food, or other unnecessary veterinary procedures that pose no benefit to the dog, only a monetary benefit to the vet clinic. If you're in the area, I strongly suggest you check out Harmony for general veterinary care of your pet. General office visits are about $53. read more

I was misled by all the good reviews. I brought in my dog with skin allergy and had a great first visit but the good experience ended there. I wanted to speak with the vet on his thyroid result, the result came in on Saturday and I didn't get a hold of the vet the Friday after with me calling the office everyday for 5 days. The vet was too busy to speak with me. Then several weeks went by and I wanted to follow up on his lack of progress. I called and left a message and didn't hear back for days. Then I wrote her an email, and it took her another several days to write back. I get that she is busy and I get that allergy isn't easy to treat but her lack of response made it extra hard. I gave up. My husband said he would give her two stars because she is so unprofessional. read more

There is no possible way to surpass the care that this Veterinary Center provides. When my dog decided to eat an entire bottle of Rimadyl (don't ask me how she even found it), they cared for her so well I knew I didn't have to worry (of course I did anyway). Their compassion and kindness are beyond any of the other vets I've been to and during that emergency this was proven all too well. They saved her life along with providing a bedside manner that was to die for. Another thing to commend them for is their integrative approach. When my dog needs conventional medicine, they have it; when she needs a more alternative approach, they have it. They have the best of both worlds and work for the optimal health of your animal, not just the one that gives them the quickest buck. One last thing that I love about them, or at least that I can think of right now, is how they educate an owner on how to care for their pet. All of the previous vets I have gone to always tell you one thing and don't explain it. Here, Dr. Brown and her staff provide you with options and enlighten you. Overall, I would never send my dog anywhere else. I think she even likes it despite being there for two days with an IV. I'll take her in and she has no qualms and is typically wagging her tail. If you care for your animal and want to do the best you can for them, there is no other place to go then Harmony. read more

I am extremely disappointed in the service I received here today, especially as a new client. Dr. Suzie Gough, DVM, was extremely condescending towards me, mind you I am a dog trainer and an animal health enthusiast and I chose to drive 45 minutes to this vet appointment because they claimed to have a holistic outlook on animal care. Within the first minute of the conversation she is explaining how I shouldn't be feeding a species appropriate raw diet. She proceeded to give me other false information on my dog, I do my homework and I am young but not naive. Before touching my dog, she asked if could give my dog a treat, she then proceeded to give 20 treats before petting him, and he is a sweetheart. She is clearly squeamish around big dogs so I advise to look elsewhere with large breeds. She eventually began to give an "examination" where she listened to my dog's lungs and that was the extent. I walked out of there with $130 bill, for listening to his lungs (when this was not the reason why I was there, she refused the skin scape and she would only do it under sedation), and feeling disappointed in the entire experience. The entire time I was in the office, I felt I had done more research on my dog's ailments than the staff and quite frankly even the vet. I am sorry to say I will not be returning, I was hoping this would be my new vet but I will be giving my business to someone else who has a better attitude and wants to listen and help their clients. read more

I found Harmony Vet after my 14 year old dog, Sadie, experienced an extreme skin reaction to some arthritis medication given to her at another clinic. She was so bad, we thought perhaps the end was near for her. I wanted to get a second opinion and was delighted to see that Harmony Veterinary Center offered a more alternative approach to animals. We were so please with Dr. Brown. Her understanding and care for Sadie has dramatically improved her life and ours. Dr. Brown did not rush a bit, listened to all of our concerns and has helped Sadie feel like her old self again. We have since taken Sadie and her younger doggie brother and sister in to see Dr. Brown. The clinic is extremely clean and has a more modern feel to it. It truly doesn't feel (or smell) like your typical, sterile, vet clinic. It is refreshing to see an animal clinic take a more natural approach, mixed with traditional medicine, to animals. I have been looking for holistic vet medicine on the northwest side of town for years when I finally found Dr. Brown. She diagnosed my dog's kidney failure when she was still a foster dog from a rescue and is keeping her eye on a possible breast mass; we're treating the kidneys with a supplement instead of drugs and Deana (my dog) is responding well. Dr. Brown's practice is cute and warm and I love the way she gets on the floor with the animals instead of putting them up on a cold exam table.
