Claypot rice that's definitely worth the wait! If you haven't had it before, claypot rice is a delicious Chinese dish with savoury cured meats. Harmony Seafood offers the traditional meal with a wide assortment of cured meats, meatloafs, chicken to satisfy everyone's taste buds. I always love the cured meats (sausage + pork) paired with the meatloaf, both with different textures and flavours which go well with rice. The cured meats are packed with umami, which is only enhanced with the soy sauce drizzled over the entire bowl. You can definitely taste the underlying flavour absorbed into the rice during the cooking process, which binds the entire dish together. For a little bit of contrast, I get the meatloaf which is steamed and slightly soft. My fiancée loves the lamb, which isn't too gamey for the faint-hearted. During the cooking process, rice in direct contact with the bowl crisp up. Before you finish the dish, make sure to scrape the sides for the crispy bits of rice leftover. Honestly, this is probably our favourite thing about the dish. I LOVE to add a little bit of hot tea which serves 2 purposes: (i) softens up the rice just a little and (ii) adds a deep roasted complexity. You can definitely tell the dishes are made to order, because each of the claypot rice dishes take 30 minutes to arrive. Despite the long wait, once you've had a bite at Harmony Seafood, you'll know why there's always a line outside. I know the restaurant also offers Pork Stomach Soup hotpots which seemed to a BIG hit for the customers. I haven't tried that yet, but you can bet I'll be back.

Pork stomach and pepper hot pot

Expect a wait even if you go at 6:30 to avoid rush because most people seem to eat early. Waited 30 mins for a table , not too bad. Ordered the pork stomach and pepper hotpot, Cantonese ho fun, and black bean chow mein. The wok hei was great on the ho fun. Super big portions for both noodles dishes. The hotpot was the famous dish, it comes with a whole chicken and pork stomach. You gotta pay for any veggies / protein add on. They will also top off more soup if needed. The space was big and ventilation was very good. Did not feel stuffy nor smell after.

We decided to come here for a late night snack/meal. This restaurant closes 1am while other restaurants already closed at 10pm. There were still many customers late at night . The staff are really nice. Surprisingly the food was quite good. We ordered the ChaoZhou oyster rice and oysters. It was our oyster themed night. The ChaoZhou oyster rice was amazing. Soup was super hot and lots of oyster pieces, a long with some veggies . Such a comforting dish, and also the oyster was fresh, and flavorful. Will definitely come back ! the seats were spacious and had booths so it was comfortable.

Soft opening, no discount Restaurant is big and comfortable seating but the ventilation is very bad, so hot and stuff....people ordering hot pot makes it even worse. Hard to breath Food is good, but clay pot rice is so small Only one older gentleman can speak Cantonese all others speak mandarin which they don't understand Cantonese Lots of parking, very clean as it's soft open....grand opening Monday May 21.

Was here a few days ago with some friends, the food is good, and personal favourite is the spare ribs with garlic. Portion size are OK, we also brought along some wine as well. Servers are nice and attentive.

New opening in thornhill location, good quality with reasonable prices. They also have lunch menu. Service is good, it's busy as well, have to wait to be seated. best 猪肚鸡in GTA

Had a wonderful meal at Harmony Seafood. The pork stomach soup was not as peppery if you're into less spicy. The clams were pretty big and juicy and sweet. The eel was nice and bouncy texture. We had a booth that gave a semi private feeling Service was also very nice and thoughtful. Overall, great place to dine. I'll be coming back.

Paid two visits since the opening. Despite a lengthy wait - food didn't disappoint! Pepper pork tripe & chicken hotpot is a must-order; pork ribs clay pot rice was flavourful - who doesn't love crispy rice ?! Attentive service; place was packed. Good vibes will visit again soon! 非常推薦這家的火鍋,煲仔飯,豉油王炒麵,臘味炒芥蘭

Nice food, nice environment and very good service. Hope they will open the lunch soon. I will come again with some friends.

The restaurant was surrounded in tanks full of lobster, crab, seafood and then a ton of dry aged steaks. Definitely something you don't see in California. Clean and spacious. Service was what you would expect from a Chinese seafood restaurant. Overall the meal was good, for me and a few others at the table the star of the show was actually the fish. The lobster while impressive when they brought it out was not as flavorful as one would have expected. And same with the king crab legs - my favorite have been the ones I've had in SF. Was interesting to come and experience it but I wouldn't come back. I prefer quality food over an IG-moment.

The establishment is famous for its iconic, towering mountains of deep-fried Hong Kong-style lobster and giant Alaskan king crabs.Without a doubt, the food is exceptional. The seafood is extraordinarily fresh--pulled straight from massive surrounding glass tanks--and prepared to absolute perfection with their signature Maggi sauce and garlic toppings. However, the major downside here is the notoriously slow and chaotic service. Due to the massive crowds, servers can be hard to flag down, orders take a long time to arrive, and the staff often feels rushed or inattentive. Despite the frustrating wait times and subpar service, the spectacular flavors and theatrical presentation make it a worthwhile destination for patient seafood lovers.Watch the massive lobster towers being prepared and served fresh at this iconic spot

The restaurant is a decent size with a cozy and relaxing ambiance. We ordered some of the most popular dishes, and everything that came out was absolutely delicious. Every dish had its own unique flavour and taste. There was a small mix-up with our order when one of the staff accidentally brought us tofu shrimp instead of the fried rice we ordered. Amy, one of the servers/managers, handled the situation so professionally. Even though it was already last call and the kitchen was closing, she was able to have the correct dish remade for us. She sincerely apologized for the mistake and even gave us a complimentary plum drink along with some butter cranberry cookies. Amy provided exceptional customer service and was absolutely awesome throughout the experience. Despite the long wait, the food and service made it worth it. I would definitely recommend this place and will for sure be coming back!

The crab itself is meaty and fresh, and the bread for dipping makes the sauce the meal's most dangerous feature. Gloves provided; dignity optional. The room is casual, the service attentive and good-humoured. They get busy, so come early or on a weekday. By all accounts from fellow diners, the black pepper and salted egg yolk preparations are equally worth the trip back. I'll be taking their word for it -- soon.

One star for the convoluted business that it is…read more So I arrived at the restaurant to take my mom out for a fun night of Egyptian food, the restaurant occupied two commercial units thought its very unusual why they don't unify it was one unit. One side is for takeout but patrons are sitting there to dine in and the other side is for dine in, but the employees also do take out. Confusing YES. So I arrived in blindly following a line. I eventually tapped the person behind me, is this the line to get a table. He says no it's the line to order... okay. About 20min in the line I finally get the deal what everyone is doing, they order their seafood order at the front where the precious alive seafood is stored- it's like a pick what you eat counter. So I order their sangarita with a salad and yellow rice and a calamari with no sides (you save like $4 for just skipping that). After ordering she asked if I had a table?? I said no, then she comes out with seven yellow sticky notes and says there are 6 parties waiting for a table. I asked how long? Maybe 40min. She also advises me that i can put myself on the list for a table and she can hold my order up to 45min- they won't start cooking until you have a table. So I asked how long for takeout, she says 20min. Well I did my math, I waited 20min in line, and 20min for food that is not partially cooked so 40min, I can live with that. Watched the server rip the slip, and just fyi the fish was charged at $35/kg costing $60 and the calamari at 1lb was $22. She asked me to wait on the side, saw her put the slip with the raw fish and placed it ON THE FLOOR behind the counter. As I waited on the side I can see quite a number of orders piled in Rubbermaid containers on the floor. Behind the counter I can see the coats of the employees piled up next to what looks like to be the washed cutlery for table service and the employees use the same yellow rag to wipe every cutlery. I also saw employees clear the tables and return to prepare more cutlery- did they wash their hand in the kitchen??? I was then prompt to pay on their pay unit. It prompted me tip. SKIP tip for takeout. Then she tells me it's 2% charge if I pay credit card no charge for debit. So I pay debit. I waited patiently, I stood near the washroom and overheard how a male customer found a $100 bill in the washroom and handed it to the restaurant- they didn't even ask around if anyone dropped it. Then when I had waited 30min (10min past the estimated time, I asked for an update ). They assured me 10 more minutes. Then after 10min I asked again, they said 1min. And then they came out with my take out. The gave me a complimentary hummus for the slow service, but I don't think it made up for the undersized sides they served me. Just look at my pic and look at the website photo. Overall , if you have 2-3hours this is your place. THIS PLACE WAS ABSOLUTELY CHAOS! I'm questioning food stored on the floor even though it's in a Rubbermaid and then that bin placed back on the scale, touched by the gloved hands and potentially cross contaminating food. During the whole time I didn't see anyone clean or mop the floor- what if people are trekking sidewalk salt in the winter. I am really concerned. Eat dangerously here if you want. I do say the food was seasoned well but won't be returning.
