Loved this restaurant. Attentive server staff, delicious chicken jalfrezi, rice, and Peshawar naan. I'm still thinking about that meal two days later! The food was good. I asked the guy on the phone for extra chili on the side because I like it hot but not so hot I can't eat it. I didn't get it on the side I think he just put extra on it. So as good as it was it was really hot for me( which has only happened once before ) . I don't think he understood what I meant - besides that it was actually really good Indian food. It's excellent. I've tried a number of dishes and all are so delicious. Chicken tandoori to Rajastan and everything in between. My friends are obsessed with the butter chicken dish. The service is also fantastic, Josh went out of his way to be sure my dish was gluten free which I appreciate. Atmosphere is cozy in a quiet neighborhood setting. Had the pleasure of dining here on a Saturday evening. Tried to eat at the Pheasant by Heathrow and they quit serving food early. Was with business colleagues and we all got something different. Garlic Naan was best ever. I've been to India for work too. Got the mixed grill. Was excellent. Too much food. My buddy got a spicy lamb dish and said it was excellent. Harlington Tandoori Restaurant not only serves excellent and authentic Indian cuisine but were generous enough to provide contribution to the Diwali celebration events that we held at each of our companies 3 sites (Kent, Wiltshire and Hampshire). An amazingly kind offer with generous quantities of high quality food which helped us raise £187.90 for charities such as Alzheimers Society, Stroke Association, Dementia UK, Dementia Revolution and Emily Ash Trust. The samosas were fresh, crispy and delicious. The saag paneer and chick peas were scrumptious. Everyone loved the food and the Diwali event was successful due to the amazing food which was provided. Thank you Peter for getting involved. Peter also kindly loaned the lovely Indian vase for the event which looked amazing on our display. Thank you so much. Good non-veg options. We came on a Thursday evening after bowling with work friends. Ordered just non-veg appetizers. The chicken tandoori and poori prawns were great. We also ordered the sheek Laban - it was good (not great). We will come again to try out other items. read more

A number of times, I have found myself stumbling off a plane at Heathrow and, by the time I have collected luggage, finally gotten to the car park, ready for the drive back home to Bristol, I am hungry. Unfortunately, the area around Heathrow is a food wasteland. Last week, by happy accident, I found an oasis in the desert of bad food, Harlington Tandoori. We could see through the window that the place was packed and people seemed to be enjoying themselves, a good sign. We walked in, it smelled great, another good sign. The food was amazing...and I am really picky...I don't mind saying I am a foodie. Each dish had its own distinct complex flavors not the usual bad Indian ubiquitous sauce. Well prepared, fresh food was the order of the day. The menu was interesting, varied and with a lot of vegetarian choices. Homemade Indian ice cream, pistachio and mango finished off the meal. Excellent Indian restaurant. We went here 4 times for dinner during a week stay at nearby hotel. Every dish was so good - we had tandoori grill (chicken and fish), chicken tika masala, chicken korma and the spinach and vegetable dishes. Prices reasonable, good portions and good service. We have had our fair share of good Indian food in Southern California but we were so pleasantly surprised to find such fabulous authentic Indian food near Heathrow. The food was ok, standard fair. Fine for a lunch, but not dinner out or date. The menu is a little out of date, but they will do what they can about accommodating if you HAVE to have peshwari naan/rice. The service was super slow and a couple of the guys had a really difficult time understanding both British and American accents when we ordered, which led to lamb balti instead of tiki masala. Been eating here at least twice a month for the last year. Food was very good, service at times is slow but they don't ignore you like other place around Heathrow. Worth the price. Delicious delicious delicious The night before my flight out of Heathrow we wandered up Harlington High Street in search of decent grub that wasn't overpriced hotel food or stinky McDonalds. We found this gem of an Indian restaurant and had a delicious feast. I cannot comment on the atmosphere as we were first through the door at 6pm but the staff were incredibly attentive and the decor was very old-school Indian restaurant - I loved it. The food is served in very generous portions and set over candle-lit heaters to keep them warm. The Chicken Tikka Masala was creamy, spicy and properly marinated. The Keema was served in an enormous platter of rice, curry and keema - it is large enough for at least 2 people. If you are in the Heathrow vicinity definitely try this place out. read more

If you are looking for a good Indian place close to Heathrow airport, this is a great choice. Within a mile, so an Uber will get you there quickly and for ~ £5-6. Try the tandoori chicken and the daal. Food is kept hot with burners on the table. The naan is not the best, but not bad either. Service is good, although somewhat slow. Or maybe we were super hungry. Anyway, overall a great experience and will go there every time I visit Heathrow. read more

Food was ok.. But the service was horrible. There was no staff to be seen anywhere. After couple of minutes, a guy came out of bar area and sat us. Took 10 minutes to come ask / offer water. We ordered right away, since we figured out that service gona be slow. Food came after 20 minutes. We ordered 4 naans and asked the guy (Joshua Money) to ask us again in like 15 minutes. We were done with our naans and started looking for any available staff and again no one is there. After 15 minutes we saw this Joshua guy and raised my hand. He came in and we asked him could we get additional naans. Then again no naans or staff for 10 minutes. By this time our dishes were cold. We requested Joshua to warm our dishes and he started making crazy excuses like it will take lot more time to warm food etc. We insisted and then after 15 mins he comes back. By this time we were feeling full and so frustrated that we asked him to bring the check and not bring the food. At this moment he started arguing with us. We were surprised. I guess he or the restaurant does not know customer service is. There is no way I would recommend this restuarant to anyone. The lentil was the best dish of the 5 ordered at our table, hands down. I had the meat combo plate, ordered on recommendation of a friend. Although it was spiced well it was dry. This is my favorite Indian Restaurant. I've been here several times and have tried various dishes. Not once have I been disappointed. The lamb biriyani is the best I've had anywhere. Found another good spot when staying at the Heathrow hotels (Bath Rd). Head back High Street (near the Sheraton and Holiday Inn) and a few blocks back, you'll find Harlington Tandoori. The building's old and tiny. Decor is nothing to write home about. But the place is clean, service is friendly. And the food is good. I had papadum with chutneys, vegetable samosas and the Bangol king prawn with rice and cheesy naan. All washed down with a Kingfisher draft beer. Everything was very tasty and flavorful and I will happily return. My only issue was the main. It was a chef recommendation and the prawns were great. But the menu said "can be prepared mild, medium or spicy".y first mistake is asking how hot is hot. Because honestly, I like hot and have eaten food in India without issue. But I let the waiter talk me into medium (which he probably should to play safe with the masses). It was good but not spicy at all. It made more sense when the bill came and next to Bangol king prawn, it said "mild". That explains it. I noted to the waiter that at a minimum, I wanted medium and he shrugged and said "next time you get it spicy". And I will. Otherwise, solid flavorful Indian food. read more

Better than any Indian food I've found in NYC. The lamb biryani (with veggies) is light but rich in flavor. And the lamb was perfectly cooked, a rarity. The Rajastan chicken was spicy and flavorful. I went based on all of the positive reviews on Yelp. I wasn't unhappy with our meal and would go back. But, don't feel I can fully recommend. Food - good. We liked everything we ordered. We had vegetable samosas and keena nan to start. The samosas were good, but I have had better frozen samosas from my local Indian market. The keena nan was better, the filling was tasty and several of the side sauces were excellent. For mains we had chicken tikka, lamb madras, and chicken korma. The korma was too sweet, I prefer a more subtle sweetness, this was almost cloying. The madras was spicey, ok flavor, but the lamb was fatty and a little stringy. The chicken tikka was the best thing we ordered, a little dry (it could have used a sauce), but rich flavor and a nice heat level. Service - good, he was polite and prompt, but not attentive at all. There were only a few tables with customers but we still had to wave down our waiter to get water or our bill. Decore - the place was clean and generally nice. Price - 60£ for 4 starters, 4 mains, and drinks (mostly soft drinks). Typical for a decent meal. My summary is "good, but I have had much. much better." If you are out at one of the airport hotels and want a decent Indian meal without going into town it is a good choice. It is likely one of the better offerings in the immediate area. However, if you want great (i.e. actually deserving of a 4-5 star rating) look further afield and look somewhere else. read more
