These people give so much, for so little---they are a small, non-profit IRS designated 501(c)(3) rescue that was formed by volunteers who love and adore this wonderful breed! He is 6 months old and I knew the first day something wasn't right. He doesn't eat/drink and does not play. Took him to the vet and he is sick. Running tests, he is receiving IV fluids. This is costing $XXX. I called Petco and they mentioned to contact the rescue. Ok, but I also told them the other cats that he was sharing the space with are probably sick also. Poor babies. This is just really badly ran rescue. There is no way they didn't know.

I am glad to hear that the "turnover" rate of kittens/cats are fair; kill vrs. new owner adoptions. Ref; check out the grease board/statistics graph board near the front desk wall. If you decide to drop off or "donate" , make sure you keep in contact with the office regarding the status of your live animal donation. The intake crew informed us that the kittens would be in their custody for approx. 1 month." I know that our daily life events are more important than 4 stray kittens but it is nice to notice that they're good people out there and see that ; sometimes, our public services (paid by Tax Payers) are working!

After 15 minutes on hold the girl told me to call her supervisor and gave me a number, the number was for Devore Shelter. Devore said call Redlands, since the dog was found in Redlands they refused to get it--no one would come get it and the worker at Redlands told me if I left the dog there I was breaking the law. She wouldn't have someone come look at the dog unless I posted it on Facebook first, even though i told her I didn't have Facebook and expressed numerous times he was a very LARGE, intact male boxer with an unknown temperament. I expressed the dog seemed fairly nice but I wasn't feeling safe with him and my three year old alone in the vehicle. Animal control said my kid would be fine and I had to bring him in or face legal action. I called a friend to come help me and brought the dog in. When we arrived there were three female staff at the desk. The blonde pictured below kept saying he was a good boy and seemed nice. She proceeded to come out to the lobby to give him treats straight from her palm and pet him while I scanned for a microchip. She went back into their office and he began quietly growling at everyone that walked by. This was making me uncomfortable. It was just he and I in the small lobby and they clearly were taking their time. I asked how long the process would take due to feeling uneasy being alone with this animal. That's when the male employee emerged from his office with an angry demeanor. When he approached the desk everything changed, suddenly they were petrified of this animal they were forcing me to be in close proximity with, the same animal my three year old was "fine to drive with". During the whole process, multiple people had come to meet with dogs and potentially adopt while I was in the lobby. They were asked to wait directly outside the door while the staff (pictured below)proceeded to walk back and forth past the dog to get paperwork and ids from them. The staff expressed they needed my ID for paperwork and couldn't trust me to fill it out without it. The ID was in the car and the staff refused to hold the dog while I retrieved it. They wanted me to walk outside past all the other adoptees with a dog showing aggressive behavior. The same dog they wouldn't let any one of those adoptees be in the room with for their safety. When I came back from the car with my ID the male began yelling at me, that it was my dog and I can't leave the stray dog at the shelter(I thought that was the purpose of an animal shelter but I guess not). They said he was aggressive--no wonder I didn't want my three year old with him. I fully believe the hostile nature of the male employee put the dog on edge and caused him to react. You guys had no problem putting my three year old in danger but you guys couldn't be bothered. The male worker had way too much Suavecito in his hair and a skin tight polo shirt all while trying to intimidate me and make me feel unsafe in the office. He was accusing the dog of protecting me and prosecuting me for turning in my own animal. He sat there staring me down repeating demands and yelling at me. They are incompetent and the whole shelter is ran by idiots. They kept the dog and threatened they are having animal control investigate me for abandoning my dog. They are a joke.

I guess the people that I was trying to help get their dog back gave up without getting a response from this rescue. If this was my dog, I would have called the police on them. Let them know that they had my dog and gave it to another home. I even emailed this Margret lady..... no response. WHO ELSE WOULD GET PISSED AT THIS RESCUE FOR GIVING YOUR DOG AWAY.??? A stray cat had her babies on our patio and left them there. I have never raised cats before and I…read moream severely allergic to them so would have a hard time keeping them. I contacted this place by phone call and left voicemails each time expressing my concern for these kittens that were abandoned and messaged them online hoping to get some assistance on what to do. After a few days I finally got a response via email stating, "There are cat groups on FB that you can post in for assistance." I had hoped due to their mission statement saying things such as: "Our mission is to help cats and kittens who otherwise would be homeless and without love and care," and "we are available to help in many varied situations," that they could offer some insight on how to care for them or getting some assistance in handling them since I am very allergic and don't want to leave them alone. I did not expect them to tell us to use a different platform for assistance let alone finding a cat group? I expressed in my voicemail that these kittens had something wrong with one of their eyes, had gone awhile with food since I was unable to get to a store when I found them, and that the shelter here was not open until Tuesday so it would be days until they could get proper medical attention. While I can understand that they are not accepting any kittens at this time, I would at least hope they could offer credible advice since they are an organization, rather than telling us to go on Facebook and look for a random cat group.

Once we picked up my stepdaughter from school and introduced her to our new family member, we noticed that the dog was skiddish near our daughter and tried to nip at her. My fiancé unfortunately decided that it was best for her safety to return the dog back to Audrey, and I did that same evening. Audrey informed me that she would refund the adoption fee to me but never did. I kept calling and texting her to receive the adoption fee, but she never did. The same dog named Nova was adopted a day or two after I returned her to Audrey, so she received double the adoption fee for her.
