Yes, they are painful but I have had many done and never experienced the kind of pain I did at her shop. When she was all done and left the room I looked at the finished product and I still had some wax on me plus there were patches of hair still there. It looked really bad. The other person on here gave her 5 stars for a waxing so maybe she was having a bad day, but I will never go back and take a chance that it was the norm for her.
