He did a great job, and showed care/respect for my property, vacuumed up any debris left from his work. The issue was fixed thanks to Mark. Update on prior post. After 3 times of them saying they would come out to fix a plumbing problem and NOT showing up, I booked another plumbing company. That morning, I got a random call from a tech at Hardy saying he was "on the way." I explained that after 3 times of hearing this and no service, I hired another company and to PLEASE NOT GO to my mother's house. He WENT anyway (without permission). My 83-year-old mom did not know what was going on and let him under the house. He said to her, "I think I have been fired but I will look at the problem and fix it without charging you." As it turns out, he DIDN'T fix the problem, the other plumber showed me photos of the problem under the house and fixed it. I then GOT A BILL from Hardy after they did not have permission to be there and on top of the the technician that spoke to my mom said there would be no charge (for a problem he did not even fix!). This company was sent out by American Home Shield to repair my moms sink and toilet. When you put in a maintenance request through AHS, you don't pick the company yourself. They send out whatever company they're contracted with for your area. I just so happened to be home because my mom had just had surgery. Prior to putting in the request, we checked online with AHS and reviewed their COVID precautions and were happy to see that AHS supplied their contractors with masks to help protect their policy holders. So imagine our surprise when the repair man showed up to our door... NOT wearing a mask???? And though our repairman was not wearing a mask, he did make sure to show up in his Trump hoody :) which gave a lot of context :) for his lack of regard for the safety of patrons :) in the midst of a global pandemic that's killed millions of people :) The toilet running has caused my mom's water bill to reach $400 and with the repair being made through the warranty company, she had to pay upfront...So my mom decided to just let him carry out the repairs and we went out to the back porch. No matter what your political affiliation may be, you have a job where you show up to the homes of other people. People from all walks of life. You don't know how seeing that across your chest makes them feel, or whether it's triggering. It's wholly unprofessional and super bold and insensitive. But after reading through the countless other 1 star reviews, professionalism is absolutely NOT to be expected from this company. Avoid them at all costs!! read more

Not sure what has happened with this company that used to be pretty good. I called them to check out an issue. They gave me an appointment several days later and said a technician would call when they were on the way. The day of the appointment, that did happen. I was at work and he said I did not have to be there since the issue was under the house. He said he would call when he had information for me. He never called back. The next day I called the office and asked if they had the info. They would not confirm or deny if the technician ever reported back, only saying, "We will have a manager go out and look at it and we will call you back." They never called back. Now on day 3 after that initial scheduled appointment I called again. They said, "Not sure what happened, we will investigate and call you back." I just got a call from a technician saying, "I am headed to your house now." I told them not to bother because I cannot trust them. Crazy. read more

Once we started using the sink again it was not fixed and caused another thousands of dollars in damage. Hardy plumbing would not own up to faulty work and never came back out. We had a leaking pipe issue and thankfully called Hardy Plumbing. They answered the phone, put my mind at ease, and assured me they would get over to our house ASAP. Brandon showed up earlier than expected, located the problem, and repaired the leak in a matter of minutes. The cost was only 1 hour of labor plus a small cost in materials. Brandon even shared a picture he took of the pipe, which enabled us to successfully compel our builder to make repairs to the wall, carpet, baseboard, etc. Brandon was kind, courteous, understanding, skilled and a true professional....it felt like he was our own guardian angel. This company is awful. Just moved into our newly constructed house April 14th 2022. April 19th, 2022 started hearing a dripping / water sound. Went into bedroom on first floor and there water pouring/dripping from the smoke alarm. Turns out hardy plumbing was used as the sub contracting plumber for our house. Someone didn't install the master bedroom toilet right- the connection. So it caused the wonderful leak- WITH MOLD - which has been leaking and growing for a while. Our home warranty company, American home shield sent this company to our property to find out why water was squirting up from a hole in our kitchen floor. The technician found a tiny spot of water under the dishwasher and concluded that the dishwasher was causing the leak, even though it was clear that the water hadn't extended past the dishwasher and was so small it couldn't possibly be responsible for the water under the floor. I contacted the company and was assured that a supervisor would accompany the technician the following day to determine where the leak was coming from. The supervisor never showed up and the technician admitted that the water wasn't coming from the dishwasher and that he wasn't going to investigate further. AHS has agreed to not charge us for the 2 visits since absolutely nothing was accomplished. As a military member I have lived in several states and have owned several homes and never have I dealt with such an inept, rude company. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. If you are a military member and are using AHS and this company has been assigned to you please know that you can insist that AHS assign you a different company. We will definitely be reporting this company to the BBB. read more

It was very expensive and tricky the man had to came two time just to attached a 1/4 in plastic pipe in the process he damaged the hot water line. I was charged for two trips . My experience with Hardy plumbing is that they are disorganized, unprofessional, and rude. The foreman for a deck job at our private residence obtained a quote from them, and had arranged for them to come yesterday morning. When they did not arrive, he contacted them and asked if they were still able to complete the job or if we needed to arrange with a different company (we had a similar issue with them not completing a prior job which we attributed at that time to an honest mistake), the receptionist actually told him to just use Smith Bros. When he further discussed it with the owner, he was assured they wanted the job, and someone would come today. This morning, an employee from the company named Debbie called my foreman and requested a credit card number. He declined to give one, explaining they would bill the homeowner (me) as they had on the prior job. Debbie apparently then decided to call my professional office, and to attempt to discuss billing with the nursing staff there. My nurse declined to discuss details, and took the number which she passed on to me. I was very irate that the medical office where I am employed as a physician was contacted for a private matter, and that the trained medical professionals on our clinical staff had to take time out of their day and patient care to address. I called Debbie and let her know I thought this was unprofessional and inappropriate, and that we would no longer require their services. She asked if I wanted to speak to a manager, and since my husband is a small business owner who actually cares about customer service, I figured their management or owner would like to know why they lost the business so I agreed. When a man who I believe was the owner got on the phone, I admit I was frustrated and was very open about that in my tone. I again explained that I found it completely inappropriate to call my place of employment and waste the time of the medical staff with a private billing concern, and that the reason our foreman was the point of contact was that we desired communications to go through him. He told me he was "sorry you are so high up" that this was an issue, and actually said I was "being ridiculous," at which point I hung up the phone. In addition to no-shows on 2 different occasions, the horribly rude customer service was shocking. In Jan 18 while lying injured in Bed suffering with a broken ankle, thumb with torn ligaments and tendons, damage, etc. I was notified that the ceiling caved in downstairs by my Sister who was caring for me. We learned later that a pipe burst in the kitchen ceiling. Numerous plumbers were called to provide emergency services including Hardy Plumbing. I was not able to ascertain the damage at the time as I was bedridden. Hardy Plumbing at the time of the call stated they could not provide services at the time because their servicemen were out on calls. Water was running down the steps and on the street in addition to saturating all of the first floor. JR's Handyman Services responded and immediately came over to turn off the water which was all over the house and garage. USAA was called and they called a company to start vacuuming up the water. Later in the day or hours later, Hardy Plumbing showed up and we told them another company had come and turned off the water. No services were provided by Hardy Services and they in turn sent me a $95.00 bill for coming out hours later! I have placed several calls to Hardy Plumbing to discuss this in more detail. They will not return calls but did in fact send this matter to collections. read more

Had to call Hardy Plumbing yesterday because my tot is the devil and threw a 2"x1" plastic block down the toilet and flushed. Well... she clogged that sucker up so fast it was like magic. I got lucky and managed to get a same day appointment. The plumber arrived with an auger in hand to push this toy out the toilet. It didn't work because of the size and shape of the toy. It lead to a full removal of my toilet, water everywhere, and reverse auger rescue of this toy. The plumber seriously stuck the auger threw the toilet bottom made the toy go back the other way to get out. Sufficient to say that this plumber know how to get stuff out of toilets. He resealed the toilet, gave me some plumbing advice for my future home (we're currently in a rental), and saved the day/my sanity. Could not be happier with the service call. read more

I needed a plumber to come out and replace the pressure reduction valve on my house. I had called another plumber and they couldn't get to me for a few weeks. So I asked around and Hardy Plumbing was suggested to me by a parent from my kids baseball team. I called and made the appointment. Mind you I had already located the valve, dug it up so all he had to do is coming in remove the old valve and replace with a new one. When he arrived I explained what problems I was having with my water pressure. Without further investigation he goes outside to the site of my excavation and says, yep, should have one in my truck. So he yells to his wife, whom I find out later has been working along side of him for the last year or better, for her to bring the part out of the van. After the removal of the old valve he realizes he doesn't have the right fitting and has to run to the nearest Lowes. I direct him to the one in Evans. The whole time he is complaining about having his wife on the job site and how he doesn't think this is going to work out. He finally gets the new valve installed to find out it is not the pressure reduction valve at all. He traces the main water pipe under my house to my EPI water filtration system. After choosing to bypass service and have the water fed directly into the house it appeared to resolve the issue I was having in my kitchen since. I asked how much and he said, let me call in and find out. So he makes the call while I am standing there and the person on the other end nonchalantly says, charge him $495. So I didn't argue since I was not given a quote before-hand. The service technician even said that seems high. Later that night I looked it up and the average price for that job is less than half that. I wrote a letter to the asking to call me and explain what was going on thinking that they may have just charged me the wrong rate by accident. They didn't even show me the courtesy or respect to call or respond back in writing. I would not recommend them even if they were the only ones to have availability with a water main broken in your house. Find a quality professional plumber somewhere else. read more

They insisted on continuing to dig up my lawn without location of underground utilities, and hit a gas line causing gas to leak. Gas company had to be called. Can't prove Hardy Plumbing caused the leak, because I told them to stop digging, cover the hole, and leave. This was the company that American Home Shield uses in my parents area for plumbing issues. When their faucet was leaking, this is the company that was sent to them. In trying to fix it, they broke the two hot water/cold water knobs. Instead of fixing it, we were told the whole thing would need to be replaced. They guy lied to our American Home Shield company and told them that someone had tried to fix the faucet before when that was never done. This caused American Home Shield to not cover this. Hardy Plumbing said they would replace it but they couldn't schedule a time and were uncommunicative for days after, not returning phone calls or messages when we wanted to know if a faucet was ordered. After 10 days of no water in our kitchen, they finally came to install the faucet. They charged $595 without any kind of break down of the cost. When we look up the cost of the exact model faucet they bought, it's no more than $250 online. They were here less than an hour to install it and then charged close to $600. This is a company we will never use again. And we will make sure everyone knows about the way we were treated. read more
