Critter Sitters

Critter Sitters

Sarah and Maria are the best!…read more I really appreciate them coming through for us at the last minute when we needed help with our pet leopard gecko. Finding reliable reptile care in Orange County is rare, so I'm especially thankful they were able to help. Maria deserves a special shout-out because she handled all the legwork and immediately put me at ease with her reptile experience. From her very first visit, she took care of everything perfectly. I would give her more than five stars if I could! I highly recommend Critter Sitters for reptile pet sitting. We'll be bringing our dog in for pet sitting next time, and I'll definitely be back with another review--but for reptile care, you're absolutely in great hands with Maria. Steve R.

Ever since my older dog was diagnosed with diabetes, it has been so stressful trying to find someone I can truly trust to care for her. I knew I needed someone reliable while traveling out of the country, and I'm so grateful I found this company. Maria was incredible--she sent multiple photos and updates every single day, which meant so much to me. She was thorough, attentive, and I could genuinely tell how much my pups adored her. It was such a relief to be able to fully relax on my trip knowing my dogs were being loved and cared for as if they were her own. Highly recommend!

When I first spoke with Lynn, she suggested that her son, Jared, meet Briar before we left. At their very first meeting, Jared was able to take Briar for a successful walk. We met with him several more times before our daughter's wedding, and with his calm, patient approach, Briar became more comfortable each visit. By the time we left for the wedding, Jared was walking all three dogs together--and Briar didn't even need her muzzle. I can't thank TLC, Lynn, and especially Jared enough. Jared was absolutely wonderful with all of our dogs, and his kindness, confidence, and understanding of Briar made all the difference. He completely eased our worries about leaving them while we were away, and we're so grateful that he'll continue helping us work with Briar. If you're looking for someone who truly understands dogs and goes above and beyond, I highly recommend TLC Pet Sitting. Thank you, Lynn and Jared, for your exceptional care and for giving us such peace of mind!

As a customer of Alicia Pet Care, I can honestly say today's experience was enough to make me never…read morewant to return. On Friday, I brought my dog, Jayden, in because I was concerned about something black in his ears. Unfortunately, they wouldn't examine his ears during that visit and required me to schedule another appointment. Fine. I understood and scheduled one for Sunday. Unfortunately, I made an honest mistake and mixed up the appointment times. I had 5:30 saved in my phone instead of 3:45. Around 4 p.m., Cheyanne from the front desk called to ask whether we were still coming. When I explained the mix-up, she was incredibly understanding and told me that if we could head over right away, they would still see Jayden. I was so relieved and grateful! My husband immediately got Jayden into the car and headed there, which is only about eight minutes away. I called the office to let them know he was on his way and would be there in 7 or 8 minutes. That's when everything changed. Suddenly, Delilah, the receptionist, told me we would have to reschedule. I explained that Cheyenne had JUST called and specifically told us to come in, which was the ONLY reason my husband rushed out the door with our dog. She put me on hold, came back, and said the doctor had changed her mind and would not see him. I was in tears by then. I begged her to reconsider. I explained that Jaden was already almost there, that I had been trying to get his ears examined since Friday, and that this was an honest scheduling mistake. I wasn't asking them to stay late or make some extraordinary accommodation. I was asking them to honor what they had literally just told us they would do. There was absolutely no compassion, no understanding, and seemingly no concern whatsoever for my dog. After I pleaded with her again, she put me on hold for several minutes, only to return with the same cold response: we would have to reschedule. My husband arrived with Jaden and was turned away. Let me be clear: I take full responsibility for mixing up the appointment time. If they told me during the initial phone call that we needed to reschedule, I would have understood completely. Mistakes happen. But that is NOT what happened. They specifically told us to come in, rushed Jayden to their office, and then refused to see him when he arrived. To make matters worse, the complete lack of empathy while I was visibly upset and pleading for my dog's care was appalling. I am absolutely disgusted by how we were treated. We have been loyal customers, and I genuinely expected better. We will be finding a new veterinarian. Not because I missed an appointment, but because of how this office handled the situation afterward. What an incredibly disappointing way to lose a longtime customer.

Not to mention previously employed as contract worker for 2 Pet Sitters in Orange County companies. Penny's gift for befriending and caring for my 2 dogs eclipsed even my experience. In the 2 years I've served as guardian for a feral golden retriever, Maddy, who was rescued in Taiwan I had never been spent a night away from her. Permitting anyone other than myself to even hold even hold Maddy's leash (she bucks like a bronco) Maddy refuses to be touched by anyone but me. My other dog, Skippy, loves everyone but I dared not allow him to be walked as they've never been separated. So what beside feeding and potty pickup could a pet sitter do? Here comes Penny who had Maddy eating out of her hand at first visit. Say what? Penny has a near magical way with animals and found creative ways to engage my fear driven dog. Penny proceeded to bring her pets, Oreo and Snickers, to turn every visit into a doggy play-date. Then she brought 2 friendly pups she was pet sitting and made my backyard a small dog park. (Penny had my authorization to do so. Daily she brought treats and toys to my furbabies and sent multiple videos showing the 6 dogs playing together. Rather than feel guilt spending Christmas away, I was glad that Penny opened the horizon of comfort for my feral dog. Her first visit during Christmas rush, whereby I'd expect 20 minutes in my home, resulted in an hour plus visit. Upon my return I only wish I could afford Penny 's services to continue to acclimate my fear driven Maddy to learn to trust humans. Penny's prices are reasonable and a bit higher than some, but what with gifts for both me and my pups over Christmas, and her self-motivation to put my dogs' need beyond paid time to sit, made her the best deal available. I'll never settle for less as long as Penny is available! * Expect videos or pictures on each visit **Penny's contract advises she does not accept aggressive dogs. But shy or fearful pets are her forte.
