We heard about Camp Opie, specifically about Andy, one of the trainers there, and decided that boarding her at the facility and receive some training from Andy could help with her. We dropped her off around mid-February, and the staff and Andy on arrival couldn't have been more welcoming. They treated our Shepherd as one of their own. Andy was very open about how he would be training her, and what to expect. During her stay, Andy sent many videos and messages about the progress our girl was making. He showed us what he was doing, how our Shepherd was doing, and overall stayed connected and communicative during her stay. Upon her return, we could see the difference that Andy had made for her. She seemed to be so much more confident and more like a dog. My fiancée and I couldn't be happier with the results that Andy and Camp Opie made for our girl. Not only did he pass on what he taught her to us, he also gave us the tools and training techniques to continue her training journey for our baby to keep making improvements. She is affordable, has 20+ years in the business as a Professional Vet Tech, your dogs trust her immediately, and you genuinely feel you can trust her too. My wife and I have 2 dogs : A 15 year old rescue that requires pills morning and night for her arthritis, and ear drops once a day for a chronic ear issue that must be kept at bay. Our other dog is a diabetic min pin who has gone blind due to the diabetes and occasionally now will sadly have seizers (not just anyone can care for these type of dogs) . Neither dog does well outside my home/yard these days, or with strangers. So boarding was not an option whenever our family needed to leave town I had to bother a close friend to come over daily and work around their schedule, etc. And I didn't trust the neighbor kid to follow through on timely feedings. Then I was introduced to Shannon. She is actually more affordable than a kennel/dr office, comes to my house twice a day walks, feeds, and medicates the dogs and my dogs never have to leave the house (A stress free situation for us all). And I feel safer about her doing this than a friend because she was a trained Vet Tech for years. We actually have Shannon do the ear cleanings and nail trim too. Shannon takes great care for my almost 18 year old, Ragdoll Cat. My cat adores her! Although, she's a special needs kitty, Shannon assured me that they would take great care of her while I'm away. I have found their prices to be a little high, but this service is worth the peace of mind. They pick up mail, scoop cat litter, feed, water, brush, and administer medications. What they do not do is administer IVs, which my Kitty needs 3 times a week. I'm very happy with their services, and I gladly recommend them. I've dealt with Linda very little. Shannon is a gem! She responds quickly, while I'm away to check in, and sends me photos of my fur baby! Be specific on what you need for your pet or pets, and it'll get done, if they can do it.
