First time there, the office is 7 minutes late to open (3 other patients waiting for them to open)…read more The office staff and RN's are wearing jeans, flip flops and sweatshirts, and look completely unprofessional. In my appt. the provider used hand sanitizer which was great, however their hands smelled like stale cigerettes and I couldn't get that smell off me the rest of the day! Flash forward a couple months and the office people have bad attitudes on the phone and are not easy to work with. I suggest you stay away from here until they get everything figured out. For being a doctors office, I expect a lot higher professionalism- not a highschool classroom. Sorry if this is negative, I usually am not this picky. This place was just not for me.

The office is majorly busy and trying to get through the phone system to talk to a PERSON is on the magnitude of the parting of the Red Sea...and that is the only reason for a 4 instead of 5 on the star-scale. The Patient Portal records access and prescriptions management access has gone a long way to remediate the phone system complaint. The nurses there are great and are cheerful, helpful and supportive. The lab technicians are second to none: I have to watch them draw blood since I rarely feel anything when they draw it. Mosquitoes could learn a few tricks from these skillful people! I trust them with my life.

I have corrected them on this my last three visits and still a prescription was sent to wrong pharmacy. Fortunately I was able to get the prescription transferred to my pharmacy and filled in time for when I had to start using it before my eye surgery!! Very frustrating.

I had a really strange experience here. I only booked here because it's one of the few places in…read morethe area that accepts Davis Vision and I'll be trying somewhere else next time. I wouldn't say the receptionist I checked in with was rude, but she wasn't friendly either - just kind of going through the motions. Waiting room area is nice and I only waited a few minutes. The tech that did the pre-testing was friendly and did as thorough a job as I've had done anywhere else. Then she had me go in the exam room. The chair was in very bad condition with peeling vinyl and flaking foam. And then I find out I won't actually be seeing a doctor in person, it will be a virtual visit where I speak to the doctor on a screen and the exam is done remotely. This was never disclosed to me before this point and I would not have made this appointment if I had known that. I'm already there so I went through with the exam. I was given a set of contacts to try and immediately knew they were not right. After much arguing and being told I was wrong, I finally got a different strength in the eye that was the worse of the two, but they still weren't even close to right. Instead of figuring it out right then, I was told I would need to wear them for a week to get used to them and then come back. Getting annoyed at this point, I left and called back the next day to book a follow up...of which they had no openings for another several weeks. So I went way too long in a contact prescription that was incorrect and giving me headaches daily. I finally get back for the follow up and wait for over an hour in the waiting room. When I was called back the tech did a quick check and determined in a matter of moments that yes, the contacts I was given were all wrong and I would need to do another virtual exam. So I re-did that whole process and got a prescription that was better but still not quite right. Fed up at this point, I took it and left. I glanced at glasses frames but they were insanely overpriced, and I ordered my contacts elsewhere as I was done giving this place any of my business. Had I not already exhausted my insurance benefit, I would have gone somewhere else for another exam. I noticed when I was in the waiting room that I was the youngest person there, by several decades. It is in my opinion that this place caters to elderly folk who have more issues and thus will spend more money there. From my own experience and what I observed, it seems as though they are perhaps most concerned with maximizing profit at the expense of a quality product.

He did not take a history of my conditions, one of which could cause serious complications if I had gone through with injections. There was no discussion of side effects except by the staff who said we would discuss them if I had any after the procedure. I was scheduled the first injection, and then more after that, ones that are dependent on whether the first one helped me. I ran as fast as I could away, and will tell anyone I know to go elsewhere for their care and treatment

I had to cancel a 2PM Monday appointment due to waking up with a fever and very sick. Because I…read morecalled at 8am when they opened and didn't give 24-hour notice of being ill they are charging me a $50 no show fee. As it was, I had to wait months just to get an appointment. I have used this clinic ever since Fort Drum no longer had a Dr that could do my injections. The base Drs. referred me to them once a year just for the injections. As it was I had to make 2-3 appointments just to receive said injections each time my insurance paid him and I had a $33 co-pay. His bedside manner is lacking, but it was my only option. They only care about the money and definitely not about the patient. Don't make the same mistake I did. Drive the 90 minutes to Syracuse if you need treatment that the base no longer has.
