But be advised that it's cash only! This is one of the most amazing burger places I have ever visited. The staff is attentive and friendly; you can not go wrong with this family-owned business. Excellent burgers made from scratch. It has been in business since 1934, so it must be doing it right. This place is regularly voted the best burger in the Bluegrass State and lives up to the hype. A perfect slice of Americana, walking into this place feels like going back in time. I had the Double Hamburger, and my wife had the Double Cheeseburger. We also had French Fries and Onion Rings. The onion rings are huge, and the breading does not fall off when you take a bite. If you are ever in Hodgenville, you must try this place!

The chief difference is that the protein bowl has double the protein of the salad. Plus at Subway you can always go double or even triple meat. I have never had any issues at this Subway and almost all of the employees actually go out of their way to insure that you are happy with the finished product. Cody is great and always makes my day, whenever I visit here and he is working. For Hodgenville this is a good option for a meal. The actual dining room is always clean and welcoming.

The patty looked like it had been pressed with one of the presses they use from Waffle House, creating a tasty seared top to the patty. The buns were fresh tasting and toasted inside while the lettuce, tomatoes and onions were cold and crispy. I always order a large Coca-Cola no ice. This is the one place that I have had problems either they don't key in the no ice properly or it gets missed. Several times they have tried to hand me a drink that obviously has ice in it and I just as promptly hand it back. I also at this location have been given an incorrect drink, something other than Coca-Cola. I have learned to put the straw in and taste my drink before I pull away from the window. All in all this is a decent McDonalds and I do not hesitate to go when I need a quick fish fix or when my Coca-Cola desires arise.
