I just ordered a quick sausage biscuit, it was made well. Staff was friendly and fast.

Very unprofessional, every visit something is either wrong with my order or the food isn't fresh. And I'm honestly disappointed

The chicken tenders I ordered were perfect. The frys were hot and salted perfectly. Worth the extra 5 minutes I waited, pulled up.

I've eaten there many times for dinner, and have always had a good experience with the food and service. This was my first brunch experience. That being said, I'd like to offer a few recommendations to the management to make our next visit an even better one. 1. If you offer reservations, please try to seat your guests as close to their reservation time as possible, especially if it's a large group. I realize it was busy, but our wait, with a reservation, was terribly long. 2. Have a place ready for your guests to be seated. After waiting so long, we ended up making the executive decision to push three tables together, two of which were dirty and needed to be bused, so that we could finally be seated. That is unacceptable. 3. Have more than one server to serve a group of that size. Two would be efficient. 4. Encourage your wait staff to be courteous at all times, and pretend to be happy to give the best service possible, even if they aren't. It was not our fault that the restaurant seemed to be understaffed, the server overwhelmed, or that the orders were mixed up. Our server did not bother to hide her irritation. 5. Never make your patrons wait more than an hour to receive their food. That too is unacceptable. 6. Encourage your server to check in with their guests after they've been served. Someone could possibly need a refill, extra napkins or may even be ready for the check. I look forward to a better experience the next time I visit, whether it be with a few or many.

After placing your order at the walk-up window you then go inside to get your drink. The food was ready quickly and we were pleasantly surprised at how delicious everything was. We tried the white and dark meat, mashed potatoes and green beans along with the roll. The service was quick and the setting, a gas station, is great. I didn't see any tables but our plan was to eat in the car so I may have missed them.

The parking lot was really busy when we arrived. We parked closer to the car wash on the far right side of the lot and approached the exterior order window. I ordered a hot dog and a two piece chicken meal with two sides. I got two thighs with fried apples and mac and cheese. My friend ordered a hot dog with waffle fries and a side of green beans. But she had to purchase her drink seperately inside (?). We took a seat inside at the large high table and got our beverage from the mini Coke freestyle machine inside the convenience store. Our food was ready quickly. Everything was really good. The hot dogs were darn near great. Only things that would have made them perfect would have been a slightly thicker dog and a toasted bun. Chili and cole slaw were great. They use Moore's Original Hot Dogs from nearby Lynchburg, which I like a lot. Macaroni and cheese was super cheesy and well-seasoned. Fried apples were really good too and a GENEROUS serving. Chicken had a nice crispy skin that had great flavor. The roll was good with a nice spread of butter on it. All in all, a really fun stop. My friend picked up a chocolate mousse cake for the road which she was pleased with. Take a break from your drive on 29 and grab a bite at Chicken Coop.

My first visit I think I ordered…read morea calzone, which ended up being decent enough but it's not my favorite calzone that I've had from local Americanized Italian restaurants. This past time I got a 'subasta' mainly because of the extra appetizing menu picture which depicted what looked like a heaping portion of spaghetti meat sauce with cooked spaghetti noodles mixed in. The idea was very intriguing and the picture was so enticing. Plus when I ordered it, I asked for a cup of extra sauce just in case I got skimped. So my table gets their food and my subasta was a whole different story than what I'd been shown on the menu. There was a sub roll, sure, and there were heaping scoops of spaghetti noodles, definitely, but somehow things just didn't translate with a menu item that was clearly advertised incorrectly. On each sub half there were these meat discs that, texture-wise, resembled meatballs and they had a little smearing of plain canned marinara sauce on one side of them. There was a little bit of melted cheese on the opposite side of these meat discs, but they existed on these piles of plain spaghetti noodles jammed between the sub rolls. As soon as I viewed this plate, I was disappointed. I didn't send the order back because I'm too nice in most cases, but I really should have. I also wasn't given the cup of extra sauce that I very specifically asked for. The onion rings were SO GOOD and I found myself wishing I had a huge plate of just onion rings because I was hungry. I ate the sub and pulled off a LOT of the naked spaghetti noodles because there was no flavor or point to them. If I go back, I'm getting pasta (Alfredo to be more specific) or a basic small pizza. I'm not playing around with this place anymore.
