Clean, super happy friendly staff and they were very fast getting our amazing lunch right to us. Great coffee shop vibe. We got the uptown club with a side of the best fries. And if you know me. I am picky about my fries. They were wonderful. The Uptown Club was great too. Big enough to split. The bread was fresh and I love when they use all the fancy different micro lettuce. Full of flavor. Update in July 2026: I recommend Poplar Sips a few steps away instead. This was another…read moredisappointing experience. We waited a very long time for two sandwiches. When the order came from the kitchen, it was only one sandwich, so we had to ask them to make the rest of our order. We also bought a container of pasta salad from the cooler, but upon going to get it, we noticed the date written on the container was already four days past so we just left it there. The bathroom stank strongly of urine, like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks, and the floor felt sticky. I really want to like this place; I like the vibe, ownership's values obviously match my personal values and I want to support them, but I can't ignore these serious issues. Initial review from Jun 2024: We were there twice. The first time, the person at the register was unbelievably slow to get the people in front of us rung up. I don't remember the last time I have waited so long second in line. The second time, there was nobody at the register and we left after several minutes.

They never brought soy sauce for the sushi and the noodles that were supposed to be yakisoba were definitely not and were more like a flat rice noodle. It's beyond me how this place has 4 stars. I would never go here again.

Whenever I'm craving sushi, I come here. I've had a large majority of their special rolls and maki…read morerolls, most of which are pretty good on the days they are rolled well. Sometimes the rolls are a little loose and fall apart when I go to pick up a piece with my chopsticks. Even if they're rolled seemingly good enough, I'm curious if the rice is cooked correctly or is the appropriate amount of sticky, because so much of it comes off in my soy sauce dish which can be a bit annoying. But everything I've had here is actually very tasty; I've tried their hibachi dinners, a couple of bento box options, and several different appetizers, but I mostly just stick with the sushi. The owners and their daughters (who are kids but work as hostesses) are very nice. None of the waiters or waitresses stay long enough for me to get to know them. This will probably stay in my top 3 restaurants that I like to visit most in Farmville.

I noticed a lot of foot traffic, so I looked the place up and was wowed with the selection on their menu. There was something for everyone! I immediately decided that I would go for lunch and glad I did. The sweet woman running the window was a great conversationalist. I ordered just a simple cheeseburger and my coworker had their fried shrimp parmesan sandwich and some nuggets. Although the food did not wow us, it was still pretty good. Don't expect anything gourmet - sauce on the sandwich tasted pre-made and the nuggets tasted like something you'd find at the freezer aisle. Our orders did not take long at all and the prices are super affordable! This place only had outdoor seating. Also has a Free Little Library and which at the time of visit, had many children's books.
