I do not know who is checking to make sure people are doing their jobs. The landscaping in the park looks like crap! Also cleaning the bathroom because the north bath house was supposed to be cleaned and it looks like it was never touched for days!! Like there was shit on the walls more then 2 days!! And ALL THE SHOWERS need to be cleaned... There is mold on the ceiling in the north showers house. I think I should call the health inspector about this stuff!! read more

The campground is nice and we had a great time, but I'm extremely disappointed that their rates include amenities that haven't been available all summer. We were there July 18-20th of 2025 and the water slides have not been operating all summer. It's understandable if the unexpected happens, but for them to knowingly charge for something that isn't available and not informing guests prior to arriving at the pool to use the water slides feels shady. read more

I thought I'd add a more recent review for 2023. We arrived at Harbour Village on a Monday and stayed several days in the tent village. As far as affordable place to stay... definitely. Pretty decent home base for exploring Door County. I think our experience was less amazing because we were there during the week and they are having some staffing issues. Because we were there during the week and they have staffing issues the water park pool was not open. Basically no activities were available (I don't mean planned I mean basketball, mini golf, beach with inflatables) except for the "adults only" pool. I asked if my kids could swim there even though some adults were looking pretty posed at us for showing up and they said of course the kids could use that pool. The kids loved the jumping pillow, and the quirky playground. The only other issues we had were in regards to cleanliness. Bath houses did not seem to be cleaned every day c or maybe they were behind from the weekend. But we found the one closest to use to be dirty at least one morning after the listed cleaning hours. And bags of trash were left in the tent area and not picked up for *days* even when we mentioned it more than once. If we had been in an RV and not relying on the bath houses and such it might've changed our experience quite a bit. I would say if you plan to be there during the week and the water park is important you should call and ask about staffing before you reserve it. And if you are in a tent and want some privacy get a regular campsite and skip the tent village. Overall it's not terrible, but it's also not as great as it could be. read more

This is an awesome family campground! Lots of activities including: swimming pool with two slides, swimming pond with inflatable's, pedal carts, jumping pillow, minigolf, outdoor movies, planned activities and crafts, live music, glow rides..... there's always something for both the kids and the adults! There are campsites available as well as cabins for rent. Lots of opportunities to create family memories! read more

I have been camping a lot in my life and this was one of my favorite campgrounds. It has so much to do for couples, families and/or groups. We enjoyed the pools, bikes, and hayrides at night with our little ones. Our site was beautifully wooded and even on the busy Labor Day weekend, it felt quiet despite being full. Stayed here over 4th of July weekend, so wasn't expecting much, given how huge this place is, but this was quite disappointing. First, found this on www.doorcounty.com/member.php?id=IL4719. Following the map on the site, we were led to a gas station. Driving further down the road, we came to the resort SIX miles north of the location on the map. When I told the woman at check-in this, her response was "yeah, a lot of people tell us that." Uh, hello, then why the heck don't you tell the website people to fix it?! You're obviously paying to be listed on there, so don't you want people to find you?? We stayed in the tent village. The spot itself was alright, it was flat and not rocky. There was a lot of trash (in the firering and around the site) and the people a couple sites down from us obviously didn't feel they needed to clean up after their dog. Seems like a good place if you want a pool and other stuff for kids, but don't waste a minute of your time if you want any sort of quiet or privacy. One thing I will give them "credit" for is their glossy handout they give you at check in. I don't know if they have trouble selling their ad space, so they need filler, but there were several spots that had things like "Help keep our waters BLUE" and a fact box about litter and how long it takes things to decompose. Great Campground for families. All the activities previously mentioned for free/included w the site. You get a wristband and can do whatever you want. Also not previously mentioned, a disc golf course, basketball hoop, nice volleyball courts. And surprisingly clean bright bathhouses w showers. Seems to be within 40 minutes of everything on the peninsula. I'll definitely consider coming back. read more

If you are looking for quiet camping in the woods go to a state park.. If you are looking for a fun family campground with many activities for kids and a great water park then this is your campground. We have been camping here each summer for years and will continue to make it an annual trip. My on.y complaint over the years has been the quality of the staff in the store. I really thought this would be a great place to stay giving it had some nice reviews. We checked in on 7/21 and the gal working at the desk told us the waterpark area was closed because the pump was out. I like to think I'm pretty understanding however she wasn't very pleasant about it and we stayed there 4 nights 5 days and not at any time did they get it back up. It was the only reason we stayed here and never once got to use it. read more

My boyfriend and I decided to make a night trip to door county. We were running behind because we left once he got home from work. We decided to stay in the rustic campsites which are in the back of the woods as camping as it gets no electricity just stars. The campground check in closed at 9 pm and we were really worried that we wouldn't get there before then. I called and this woman named Judy gave me her number and said to text once we got there so she could meet us out front even though it was after hours. Judy meet us at the front gate and upgraded us to a campsite with electricity so we didn't have to drive all the way to the back of the campsites and we were closer to bathrooms. This made our night. The fact that they were so accommodating and sweet really made a difference. We only spent the night but the campground was so clean, and well kept. Great place to stay! read more

Stayed for 3 days in mid-August, hoping to ride the waterslide. Indoors was a Pool table with only 2 balls, a broken prize machine, a second prize machine empty and facing the wall, a seemingly working racing game and a second arcade game with its cord cut. Pool was closed on Day 1. Pool was open on a much colder Day 2, where you were greeted by just four staff members sitting there whose job is seemingly to make you uncomfortable. And at least two of the showers were broken and only sprayed cold water. But the waterslide was chained off, and the hot tub was drained and covered in caution tape. Switching over to the much nicer (heated) adult pool you'll find what looks like months worth of dead bugs floating in it, the pool's filters clearly broken and the staff obviously taking no steps to clean it (reminder: 4 of them were sitting around doing nothing in an empty pool area). On a somewhat hot Day 3, where excitement was high to finally ride the waterslide, inexplicably, the pool was closed early that day. We rented their most expensive option, the Deluxe Park Model /w Loft (advertised as sleeping 8-10 people). Inside said Model was two incredibly cramped bedrooms with a single small bed you have to skirt around, and directly outside it was a set of bunkbeds in the hallway. In the living room was a couch that folds out into a bed (which had a bunch of food left in it; this place was never cleaned before we stayed in it. Disgusting). To pass the time they provide a TV mounted 5 feet too high on the wall for an uncomfortable viewing angle not only for how high up and difficult it is to see, but how perfectly situated it is adjacent to the top set of windows which ensured that if the sun were still up, the TV was coated in glare. And might I add that when we called and asked if a TV would be provided in the room, we were told 'no'? Might seem like a pleasant surprise..but we left the games we wanted to plug in at home because we were told we wouldn't have one. And then we did. We were two parties of two sharing the model, and so we went to the office to request a spare key (as we would be splitting off, and so either the model would be left unlocked with thousands of dollars worth of personal belongings left sitting inside to steal, or one party would be left locked out until the other returned). We were told there was no spare key. Incredible. A model they themselves advertise as sleeping up to 10 people, has a single key to share. You might read advertised that they have Wi-Fi available. Soon in, we realized that the Wi-Fi connection (named something generic like 'harbour wifi') had a WEP password assigned to it. And so, shortly after, we went to the office to request the password. The lady currently residing told us that we were mistaken and that there was no password. Pulling up my phone and checking, there was indeed no password requirement anymore (on a nearly identically generically named wifi). Confused, assuming the password requirement was temporary or a fluke, we went back to the model. Password requirement returns. Very frustrated at this point, back at the office insisting through the lady's insistence that there is no password, that there is indeed a password, she finally confesses that she owns a 'Booster', which she is using to boost Harbour Village's wifi to her housing, and that she put a password on it. Rather than extend the (NOT her, Harbour Village's) connection publicly, she hogs it to herself, at otherwise to my knowledge, no loss to herself. Despite this admittance, she did not offer to share the password for the short remainder of our stay. I'm sure there's dozens of additional frustrations that have since been forgotten even still. Such as the fact that they offer discounted rates for the season in which their pools are closed and yet we weren't offered any refund for the fact that the pools were closed on two (the warmer two) of the three days we stayed. Overall, a terrible stay, with no plans to ever return. read more

Great camp ground if you have kids! Playgrounds, swimming pond, large pool with water slides and kids pools, large jumping balloon! Lots of kid activities mini golf, pedal carts, volleyball courts, fishing pond. Campground has a mix of condo sites, seasonal sites, and rental sites. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. read more

I have camped in many other areas in Door County, Jellystone, Quietwoods South, and state parks. This camp ground is so much better than any of the other campgrounds. So much for kids to do and so much for adults to do. I wouldn't camp any other place. read more

Nice place for family camping. The prices were reasonable. The park had a water slide that my kids liked, but other than that it was a fairly typical campground. The managers/staff seemed friendly enough, and the campground was pretty clean. read more
