Half way through our meal, the most rude and unpleasant man (Jack) approached the table and in a loud voice for the benefit of the whole restaurant, said that we had not booked and were siting in the wrong place. The table was quite some way apart from the restaurant, the other side of the enterance area, and next to the bar. That area was not clear at all to be a part of the restaurant opposite. We had been told to order at the bar and it in that area. Instead of politely telling us we had sat in a satellite area of the restaurant to eat our carvery and being offering help to move. He approached in an aggressive manner and told us, we were not allowed to sit there and had 15 minutes to finish our food and leave. No explanation, no offer to help us relocate. When I politely explained that we always sat there and did not know it was part of the restaurant, and were half way through our meals, he became even more aggressive and told us, we had 15 minutes or he would be calling the police to have both myself and my 5 year old child " forcibly removed from the restaurant" My son was very scared and did not want the rest of his dinner, so we left. Imagine threatening a small child that he would be forcibly removed if he took more than 15 minutes to eat his dinner.... We were so shocked. Advertised as family friendly but I believe Jack should be nowhere near small children.
