Have now gone to Portland Collision twice, once for an Estimate only, and once for Estimate and…read moreRepair. Their staff is always friendly and ready to assist, they usually have at least one shop Dog around which I awesome when your waiting on anything to have some company! The work they did on my repair looks fantastic, I had forgotten my golf clubs in the trunk and they were super flexible with letting me come grab stuff while they were still working on it, and then owner left a sleeve of golf balls in there for me too! Very great people, great service, hopefully I won't need future body work but if I do I know where to go- Portland Collision!

Having my SUV repaired at Portland Collision was an absolute nightmare. The repair was a disaster…read more I called the shop and one of the managers agreed to look at the repair. Once they saw the shoddiness of the repair, they seemed embarrassed and promised to make it right. After another week with the SUV they were unable to produce quality work. I informed my insurance company of the awful repair and Portland Collision's failure to correct it. They agreed to have Moody's in Scarborough estimate repairs. Moody's had to replace parts that were not even damaged in the accident because Portland Collision tried to force parts together improperly. They even had to replace parts Portland Collision replaced. Both taillights had been broken, they reused the old decals, painted over damage on the bumper, and glued broken parts instead of replacing them. Portland Collision should not be in business and I hope my insurance company drops them as a preferred shop. They lack attention to detail and try to get you out of the door by saying their work is guaranteed. Guaranteed or not, there is no excuse for the bad repair work completed by this shop. I would never trust Portland Collision to repair a vehicle.

I drive an '01 Subaru Outback that until recently had never needed any work. I am new to the area…read moreso when my check engine light came on last month I took it to the first place that turned up in a Google search for Subaru repair- which happened to be another dealership. They determined from a diagnostic test that my car needed close to $2500 (for genuine Subaru parts, not aftermarket parts) worth of repairs to replace several parts including the catalytic converter, trail arm bushings (which could have been made up parts for all I knew...) and part of the exhaust system. Having a family friend in the area I asked for a suggestion for another body shop and was referred to Lake Region Imports. As they also work exclusively with Subarus, they recognized from my description of the diagnostic test that Subaru catalytic converters rarely need replacing and often they simply need a small modification to keep them running smoothly. As for the exhaust, I think LRI replaced only a valve which cost about $20. I know NOTHING about cars or car repair so this sounded too good to be true. The so-called trail arm bushings did need to be replaced which was the bulk of the final cost, but still reasonable. Well, I am hoping it is not too soon to sing Lake Region's praises, as they only gave me my car back yesterday, but my car is running much more smoothly than before, and the total bill was $430...a cool $2100 less than I was quoted at the first place I took the car. I'll update this review if something goes horribly wrong, but I am feeling confident that this place knows what they are doing... and they have been in business for 30 years which says something. I will continue to take my Subaru there for any maintenance as will my Subaru-driving boyfriend!

Firstly, they're honest , and then they do good work. And they're a reasonable alternative to the dealerships. Can't recommend them highly enough.
