The staff is friendly and professional, and they go out of their way to help. For the boat, pretty quiet and protected cove. On demand pump out boat. Fuel dock. Repair Shop and maintenance crew on premises. High and dry storage around the corner. Ships store for a lot of what you need, courtesy car to get the rest. For the crew, clean showers!!! Bar, paddleboard rentals, restaurant, and picnic tables at the top of the dock. Passes to local pool available at the ship store. Grocery nearby. For the kids, safe shallow beach (right near the bar) usually full of local kids ready to play and find hermit crabs, minnows and crabs. Cannot say enough good stuff about this place... Especially the staff, might have to add them to the Christmas card list!

They have a nice and small convenience store for ice, drinks, and misc items. There is gas at the end of the dock. There are picnic tables in the back. This came in handy to keep the kids occupied while launching the boat. Normally the wife pulls the truck off ramp and parks the trailer. At this marina, there were plenty of workers/dock helpers that helped the husband with all this. Having these young men helper is as such a blessing and added bonus. We made sure to tip them. There is also an indoor restroom close by that is clean and spacious and made a great family changing room. You literally leave the marina and pull right onto Crab Island.

Deck hands took off my boat and docked it while I drove 100yrds to D&J Dry storage ( see my review for Susan at D&J) walked back to pier and deck hand fueled my boat, paid for fuel and $20 launch fee and was off. They have everything you need. Fuel, bait, beer, ice, snacks, water, drinks and plenty of place to dock. Current can be swift here so have dock lines tied to boat so they can take it off trailer by hand and never get out of your truck. Or show everyone your boating skills and back it off yourself bumping and scraping the pier and not tip the young guys trying to make a dollar for the summer. I do that enough back home in GA where we have an 8' tide swing not 8" like in Destin. When I am on vacation I treat myself like the rich guy I'm not and let servants do the work. Just makes life enjoyable. Beside no one will go home and tell their friends about the amazing boat handler they watched in Destin.

While there it sustained fiberglass damage. I was told they are not responsible for it. After many emails later the fiberglass was repaired on 21 March 2024. The marina had my boat for 3 days. On Saturday 23 March I went to pick the boat up. While the repair job was nice, I went below which I had locked up and gave the manager the key in case of emergency. Once there I noticed someone decided to use my head and left me the nastiest mess you can imagine. Why did they feel it was necessary to leave poon my toilet? I mean cmon. This is absolutely disgusting and totally unprofessional. You can rest assured I will NEVER utilize this marina in my life.

This time we didn't get a boat with the complimentary huge cooler . It was a smaller boat . Too late to switch but ask for that one if you can because it's nice transferring everything to there big cooler and not have 5/7 yetis on one pontoon . This trip the boat we rented broke down 1/2 way to crab ..... it delayed us over an hour waiting for new boat . We swam around where we were parked and chilled. Totally fine and happy waiting in gorgeous clear water off oakaloosa . When they came to replace it we had to unload current boats bags and coolers for 10 people to new boat . Not bad but kinda added more time to find where everyone's stuff was after we quickly moved . We were kinda annoyed he said we could have an extra 30 mins added to our trip . We told him we were delayed over an hour so he said 1 hour passed our time scheduled to return ...... It's likely we will rent from them again in July because of all the great experiences we've had in the passed . They do military discounts and it's pretty reasonably priced . Plus they drive the boat out and in the marina for you...... I would have been happy if they gave us more then an additional hour that we missed or a discount on the next rental ..... we got there at 10:30am . 30 mins before our check in time . But we legit didn't get to crab till after 1 between waiting to load then the boat beeping and stalling out 1/2 way there .
