It is a clean, old fashion motel, and you can walk to town. It is not perfect, but will go back just to sit on balcony, relax. Because that is what I wanted. That is what was delivered. They have a modest selection of popular magazines and news papers. There are several cases of DVDs but are in no particular order so you have to either browse the section or look it up on the reference computer to find what you're looking for. There is a fair selection of books in the library. They are also part of a network of libraries in NE Wisconsin so it is easy to get an inter-library loan. They also have free WIFI. They have free informational classes from time to time. You just need to sign up for them. The staff is friendly, helpful, and courteous.

They told me it would be a big job and they would be back first thing in the morning. 3 guys came, broke up the basement floor to get to the frozen pipe. After about 5 hours we had water. They cleaned up afterward. I was impressed with the promptness they fixed the pipe. Kudos to you Algoma Utilities.

You can rent unique, furnished apartments at The Haven right along Lake Michigan. The Haven is in walking distance to some of Algoma's great food and drink such as Skaliwags, Von Stiehl winery, and Ahnapee brewing. We stayed only one night in the two bedroom suite. It was fully furnished, including amenities and a fully equipped kitchen! We absolutely loved the decor and loved staying there. Sara was a wonderful host. We hope to return soon. PS - pet friendly!

I stayed in the balcony…read moresuite which had a full equipped kitchen that had every pot and pan and utensil you could need! I enjoyed sitting on the balcony having my morning coffee while enjoying the lake view. It had a nice living room, and the bedroom had a comfortable bed. I couldn't have been happier. It was less than a five minute walk to the grocery store and restaurants. I am hoping to visit again next October. Thank you Sara for my wonderful visit.
