Couple of years ago back in college I used to drop by here often for a quick break from the grime and pollution of Taft Avenue. You can take a walk, grab coffee, have an al-fresco meal, all beside the bay. It's a pretty relaxing spot to just sit around, watch the sunset, watch people walk....or exercise (I mean, that sounds weird but if you're into that because on weekend mornings, some folks do zumba/aerobics or some type of physical exercise there).
These days I rarely get to visit Harbor Square. But when I do, I bring my dog (it's dog-friendly! Just remember to pick up your dog's poo, ok?), eat some taho purchased from the vendors lurking around, and just sit and enjoy the scenery. What's great about this place is that it's for EVERYONE, and it's not a place that's "pang-sosyal lang". Not at all. People and families of all ages do hang out here. Some people even fish (although let's not do that as it isn't really safe or kind to fishies).
Also, if you're catching an event/performance at CCP, which is across Harbor Square, it's a convenient place to grab something to eat here before/after the show. read more
