Tough to review when you walk in at 12:30pm and there's a note at the smoothie station saying they are on break. Really at 12:30??

Stopped by SoBol in Cos Cob for something healthy and high-protein. We ordered a Classic…read moreMango-Pineapple Bowl with vanilla plant protein + peanut butter added ($17.02) and a 24oz Chocolate Cacao Smoothie with chocolate plant protein ($13.92). Everything tasted fresh and was genuinely delicious. The mango bowl in particular was so good, and the peanut butter on top really makes it. The large smoothie is a true large and works well as a filling, high-protein meal replacement. The only downside was the cost. Our total came out to $33 for two items, and I was surprised at how quickly the add-ons add up (protein and peanut butter drizzle aren't cheap). Great quality and flavor, just definitely on the pricier side if you customize. Would still come back when I want a clean, high-protein option, just good to know the extras can bump the total fast.

I came in this morning, because I wanted to try it out. I'm always passing by and figured why not…read more Anyhow the smoothie cup was large and maybe I didn't do the right mixture or blend of fruits. It just didn't hit the spot for me. It was more like chicken without the seasoning. For $15 I expected more. I actually didn't mind that so much. What I did mind was the impersonal cashier taking my order. No smile no good morning no emotion. She ask for a name to call for the order and didn't even call the name, but the drink instead. I'm sure other people are use to that kind of service, but good service with a smile goes a long way. Perhaps she was having a bad day. I doubt I will be coming back. Service is make it or break it for me. Please have someone with a little more life behind the counter.

Sweet Pea's Cafe is busy and buzzing on the weekends! There will likely be a wait to sit, but that…read morejust goes to show the success of this restaurant. My suggestion is to order your coffee at the register to-go while you're waiting to be seated. It makes the time fly by! The cafe is cozy and welcoming. The decor is warm and celebrates coffee, a true highlight of the restaurant. Their pastries look inviting and truly decadent. The ladies behind the register and server at our table are all so pleasant and helpful. Our server, Mariana, was very knowledgeable of the menu and suggested options to us for specific food allergies. Mariana is kind, helpful, and really makes you feel taken care of. Their coffee beans have a perfect acidity and chocolatey note, making the coffee taste flavorful, rich, and smooth. Both coffee and espresso drinks are served to perfection. Their hot drip coffee is very smooth and may be one of the best coffees I've had. I also love the Maple Cinnamon Latte with almond milk. It is complex in flavor and perfectly sweetened to my liking. Sweet Pea's is popular for their pão de queijo, a Brazilian cheese bread, which is gluten free. It is the BEST pão de queijo I've tried. It's perfectly salty, buttery, and fluffy. Just wow. They have many options for sandwich fillings with this bread, both savory and sweet. The Old Farmer's Breakfast is a hearty dish. The scrambled eggs are fluffy and seasoned well. The bacon is crispy and makes the dish have the perfect balance of savory and sweet. The gluten free pancakes are flavorful but slightly drier than an average pancake, so do dunk them in a little maple syrup to give them that just-right texture. If you are gluten free, it is worthy to note that cross-contamination is possible from their pancake grill. The dish is so filling and recommended! I would absolutely come back to try more dishes and coffee creations.

First visit and will def be back! They were really accommodating with getting us a table on a busy…read moreweekend morning. Delicious breakfast sandwiches and coffee. Can't wait to try more of the menu.
