There was a little more but this gives you an idea about what happened. The lady told me I had to put my number in... I did and it didn't give it to me. She called a manager, and they said they can't give it to me until I register online. I had my ID in my hand, but that's not good enough. You have to get verified online otherwise they won't give you the discount. So disappointing and frustrating. I did not buy the items I came for. The crazy part is I was going to write up a positive review because I saw so many things that support the military... hence the photos I first took. But this is terrible service. "You have to pay for your things now without your discount but you can go online and register for it for further purchases". I used to be able to just show my ID card for the discount. Why would I want to return after this inconvenience and terrible customer service? I believe in technology and the world moving forward with progress, but sometimes common sense has to play into things and there should still be a way to show my military ID card and get my discount. What about the elderly vets who don't understand how to do things online? I guess they just don't ever get their discount. Why not set up a computer in store that people can register in person by showing their actual ID? Instead you tell them they can't get it for this purchase because they have no way to help you. Makes you wonder if they don't do this to prevent some of us from receiving it... makes more money for them. Seems awful convenient they have made it difficult for us to get it the discount.

I explained my problem and I have to say this gentleman wen up and down and look at all options in order to offer me a solution, it took some time but Finally he recommended to buy a tap wrench and steel plug tap. Problem solved !!! I was really worry because I got the furniture as a final sale for $1,000 So I could not send it back! I was very relieved I was able to put the furniture together. It is nice when people help you and don't let you walk out of the store without some kind of a solution. (I was not offer this two items at the other hardware stores I visited. )

Radio Shacks hardly exist now and I needed them for electrical connectors such as the 3M connectors. I could get a couple at a time. I get decent or even large quantities of such connectors here. They have a great rack of them. One year I bought a used car. When I got home I found the previous owner had lost the battery hold-down bracket. A pot hole or a speed bump could knock around. I went to this Ace and got a 3 foot wire tie and secured it. I love their discount bins they have from time to time! A significant part of their staff such as a couple clerks up front have been retained for years. They know me on sight. Yesterday I determined that to complete a project I will have to reach into a blind area to tighten bolts. Only Allen head will be convenient. I'm about to bicycle out there and get them. I have to lock my bike to the propane enclosure at the back. Otherwise I'd give them 5 stars.
