I had another fantastic experience--this time at the The Home Depot Melbourne, FL. Scott went completely above and beyond to help my daughter and me find the right items for a plumbing repair. Normally, when my husband sends me to the hardware store, I panic--I know nothing about tools or parts! This time we needed a P-trap, and I felt totally out of my element. Scott was incredibly patient, kind, and knowledgeable. He didn't just point us in a direction--he took the time to walk through everything with us and even FaceTimed with my husband to make sure we were getting exactly the right parts. First, their online inventory & location of item(s) were up to date. Even though it was a busy day, I had employees (7 to be exact) take time out to help me & was very cheerful & even a cashier offered to watch my cart while I went outside to get an item (even though she told me that she could ring it up for me; she told me which item it was that was on sale outside). This might not sound much but I had gone on various websites that turned out to be outdated. Other places you had to find employees & some employees made it seemed that they had to take time out to help you. I hope you have the same experience that I had. read more

Misled by sales rep on a $5000 purchase. Told to use 10% discount vs 2 yrs no interest because there was a 1 year no interest promotion in effect. First bill, less than 30% discount and interest. Also learned the "everyday" 6 month no interest doesn't apply if any discount used. Also learned the 10% military discount caps out at $400. Will be canceling my Home Depot credit card. read more

I went to buy a chalk board the other day and Ryan and Paul helped me. They were willing to go up to get a unopened box from the very top of the racks to help me, however, I just wanted a piece that Paul cut for me. Ryan discounted it due to it being partly damaged. The only damn store that doesn't have tap like I think most people don't even carry around their cards anymore most people use Apple Pay or what not There's a line going all the way out and I say four people continuously had to go walk out to their cars to go get their debit card because they don't have tap as a multimillion dollar earning store especially with holidays coming up. You would think that they would already have this fixed in their store but no People that are business owners have to go run out to their trucks and delay more time to getting on the job because they don't have this I believe it's something they need to address ASAP read more

Ordered an $800 Weber grill yesterday. Cashier said I was in luck because they already had one built that they would deliver today (even showed me the grill). Fast forward to today when a truck from the Merritt Island (?) Home Depot drops a box with grill parts on my driveway with no idea about putting it together. He was told to take it back since the order was screwed up. After getting the runaround from Home Depot, they finally inform me it's too late to fix and they would try to schedule me for Apr 2. I went back and had them refund me rather than deal with this nonsense again. read more

The associates ordered the incorrect material TWICE and Franklin Branson, store manager, declined to refund us in any way for almost a year. NEVER AGAIN! After today, this is the last time I visit this Home Depot on Wickham. I come in, like I do every Sunday and buy my supply of wood for the week. I grab 4 sheet of 23/32 4x8 pine, along with some other expensive items. I get to checkout, I'm shocked on the price. I glance at the screen and said these sheets are not $47.98. Cashier said they were birch, definitely not they're pine I said. Cashier asks me to walk her over. Ok, get over there and she had me load four more on another cart. I get back up front, now there's two carts with 8 sheets. All the same, same sku numbers and all. She takes off the 4 sheets at $47.98. The bill goes down quite a bit, she totals it out real quick and I pay. I get outside, load up one cart. Picked up the receipt off the four sheets, glance at it and realize I was still charged too much! So I walked it straight into customer service. That's where I about lost it. I show the cashier a picture of the tag which hangs right above the wood I purchased and give him my receipt. He says, "So, you bought the wrong ones." No, the cashier in lumber rang it up wrong AGAIN even after showing her the label. I tell this guy, I buy these every week. They're $35.98 as the tag back there states. He states, "I can't confirm that without your previous receipts." Well no kidding, but you can confirm my picture calling a freaking lumber associate. Then he says, "There probably was a price increase over night and the signage didn't get changed." Ok. That still doesn't explain why it's listed online at their website as 35.98. Finally after 15 minutes of arguing he gives me a price adjustment. So much frustration from this trip, so much wasted time. I actually live 4 miles from Merritt island but drove the 8 miles to the Wickham one because they have the loading zone. Which btw, now they've closed that off. No idea why. But I'm sure just like with the failure to stock shelves, get prices right, we'll blame that on covid too. After all, these employees are slacking off and blaming covid. I will remember today. This Home Depot lost my business and I will spread this around social media. read more

Not only was the personel (4) of them in the customer service line rude and told me "one line serves all" which was the return line...I was there for an online pick up but that line had other people in it with only 1 person to service the customers. After being notified last night my order was ready the man working the return lane could not find my order (2) 4' lights - sitting right on the shelf. I could see them...he could not. The help he asked to come over to help him find them could not see them??? They even had my name on the end "clearly". I just watched the 3 of them wander around?????????? they have some rude and listless employees that ruin it for the rest of the store. I frequent several Home depots and lowes and this hme depot on north Wickham is the worst. I've finally had it so I am writing a review. The worst was in the return area. A cold woman with very long hair who refused to do her job correctly. If it wasn't for Isibel getting involved my return would never have been complete. I have recently spent close to $10,000 there remodeling a house and had to return around $100 worth of items but this woman would not do it. wanting me to go through every receipt myself and find the merchandse instead of scanning the receipts like every other employee knows how to do. And she did also but just didn't want to. Isibel had to help her move along as she feigned ineptness and then ended up taking over for her. Its a shame the good employee's have to do more work to make up for the bad ones. The woman just didn't feel lie doing her job. And also seemed to have an animosity towards her manager. I'm going to try and avoid this place from now on and bring supplies from palmbay and west melbourne when I'm doing a home in melbourne. Its just not nice there. I feel my business matters more at other stores and will frequent those. Never have these problems at lowes. read more

So I was a bit uncertain as to what kind of rating to leave as this rating is given not for a Home Depot store but it's for 1 particular employee. This employee deserves 5 stars but if I left 5 stars most likely Home Depot would not read it, thinking I'm overly pleased with my HD experience. Not to go into a long extensive explanation as to the issue I've experienced what I will say is that I had an ongoing issue that could've been solved with 1 phone call - & unfortunately it wasn't. Employees didn't choose to take 1 extra step to help me out, instead I was pretty much tossed around from one worker to another. Finally, after having enough and wanting my refund - there too, was an issue with someone not performing their job properly which halted my refund and took days to resolve. I'm beyond grateful that the manager Joshua stepped up to help me. He listened to my situation and understood what actually happened. He went above and beyond to help me. My husband is a contractor, he owns a large business and continuously shops at HD bringing it a lot of revenue annually. I see what type of people my husband works with, their level of attentiveness and professionalism and I will say that the manager Joshua has all those qualities. If it wasn't for Joshua I don't think I would be coming back again. So Josh, thank you so much for your top level professionalism and your help. read more

Zero stars, actually! I will not purchase from Home Depot again. This morning I went to get cement and they had 8 on the shelf and I asked an associate if they could get the next pallet dow, she called out to someone who said ok. 25 minutes later I left. They could have been waiting for a forklift or driver, but no communication is wrong. This is the 3rd time in a row we have received terrible service. My daughter and wife went to get fence posts and asked for assistance, was told just a minute and after 15 minutes they loaded them on a cart, while 2 guys watched! At the register, they asked for assistance and was told someone will be out shortly. After 25 minutes, they loaded them. Thtime before that we did a curbside pickup of 10 50lbs of cement. I waited 30 minutes and when the guy came out he was angry. He threw the bags in the back of my SUV and stomped off. Never again! read more

This is a huge store. Probably the biggest Home Depot I have ever been in. I usually travel home with a native species plant. I found what I was looking for but it was too large to carry on the plane. The staff helped me with located a place to order and have shipped to my house. It was fun to see that they still have tomato plants for sale in December. read more

Veterans and Military do not purchase items online because HomeDepot.com won't honor your military discount. I purchased items online because Home Depot did not stock them on a regular basis at their store. I took my receipt and my military id into the store and got some ridiculous explanation why they couldn't apply the discount. Any other store that I have had to purchase items online because that store didn't stock the item or was out of it always honored the discount. All they had to do was return the items and then re-ring the merchandise applying the discount. HOME DEPOT. COM does not. read more

Buy your paint somewhere else. The paint department at this Home Depot is the worst. They have no concept of next in line because there is no line and it's complete chaos. You have to basically shove your way to the counter because that's what everyone else is doing to get anyone to help. I'm with John on this one. My partner and I were looking for Black Friday deals since we need to lay down 760 square feet of berber carpet and this is the closest one to the house. First, there was just one person in the carpet department; no one else could help us. Then, when Shirley was finally free, we told her exactly what we needed and the carpet we wanted. She just sat there looking at us. We had to ask her to calculate the approximate cost. She calculated the cost and I asked her if there were any sales or discounts since it is black friday. She just looked at me for a moment and said that installation was $37. That was it. She asked me what I wanted to do. I responded that for the price she quoted, my partner and I could lay down the carpet ourselves. Why someone would reject a carpet job of 760 sq. ft in FL where most people have tile is beyond me. At my Home Depot in Boca (Glades/441), they would have thrown in the pad for free and a free consultation to make sure the rooms were measured correctly. They would have gone out of their way to make sure we gave them the business. My only guess is that this particular Home Depot must do so well, they can afford to turn away carpet installations. read more

What can I say. I am a home contractor. I have never had a good experience in this Home Depot in 100 visits. Poor quality China/Mexico products, low paid, unqualified staff, missing store managers, incredibly over priced merchandise, non-working rental tools. But really the most important areas for my work: very low quality, over-priced lumber, unqualified staff at electricity and plumbing departments, lack of help staff in most isles, very poor tool rental department and generally very poor attitude toward customer by staff and management. The only area I have ever had success with this Home Depot is when researching a product or part through other means and then, once I find the exact thing for my needs, ordering it from Home Depot's on-line site and picking it up at the store. Its a shame they have put all the small mom and pop home improvement suppliers out of business because I look everyday for an alternative to visiting Home Depot. And whenever I find an alternative I always use it even if its much further to drive (ie, Orlando) or higher in price. read more

Contracted with them to do a flooring job at my home. Process for scheduling the install and picking materials was slow and cumbersome. Product was delivered to garage, so the first install date failed because the floor hadn't acclimated to the indoor temp. Second install attempt failed because the product was defective. Additionally, was charged extra for floor prep, after already having paid for labor and materials a month prior. Tried to call store, phone just rings and then hangs up. Simply terrible. Avoid at all costs. Will be looking for a local contractor. UPDATE 11/3/15 - Ten weeks after paying, and still waiting for this job to be done. Called the store manager, no callback. Emailed and called the installation manager, no response. Just sitting here, waiting. read more

Beyond rude, they don't help customers at all and after I was 1/2 way through self checkout an employee came up and started checking my cart like I was stealing. I said I didn't appreciate being treated that way and she said someone told her I was stealing. This is a great store with a great selection. Yeah the staff is not so helpful but its a big box store and customer service is usually non existant in these places. Thats why things here are so much cheaper. I would have given them five stars but I gave them one less because they dont carry Snow Cap. I came to the store looking for cabinet hardware. Nice selection and I purchased 8 pulls. Four of which I plan on returning once I see them in my kitchen to see if they match etc. When I know I'm returning items from the get go, I like an emailed receipt. So as I was at letter 4 of inputting my email address it just completed the sale. No address and gave me a printed only receipt. I discussed with the associate nearby and the only recourse was to stand in long line at customer service. Not convenient in view of the rest of our visit described below. The only restroom in this giant store is in the far corner of the store. A one hole one room for both men, women and children. Filthy. My mother who is 83 had to walk clear to the back. Naturally the restroom was occupied for quite some time and she had to wait. Inadequate for the size of your facility and the number of people. No soap. Clean hand towel role not in a sanitary dispenser but thrown on top of a filthy child changing table. Not sure where it'll go when child needs to be changed. The floor? My mother waited a long time and barely made it. Making a note to skip this location even if others are farther to drive. I'm giving it one star because of the selection. Otherwise not an enjoyable experience and not customer convenient or friendly. read more

I had a yard tool that had a lifetime warranty to it. It broke while using it. Took it to Home Depot (the one on N. Wickham) and was warmly welcomed at the entrance. When I explained my issue, the manager was able to replace the tool without any issues. This is such a great store to shop at. I purchased and am still paying for windows and doors from Home Depot in May of 2020 and in mid December neither are complete yet! They cannot get out of their own way and the list of ways they got this wrong is staggering. One thing went right, the windows came in on time and installation went well. I'll try to provide the list of errors in the order I discovered them. Door not ordered /w windows though done at same time. Door permit and measurement scheduled for NH at an old address, sold 2 years ago, not FL Wouldn't complete window trim until inspection complete and said door and windows are on the same permit. False - clearly made assumption, didn't verify. Seems you have to know this business since they do not. Door arrives Aug and its missing parts - finally scheduled 3 months late for install. Door doesn't fit! The spec sheet was sales persons estimate, not final measurement. Re-order - coming in December. Found out at this time the door is NOT on the permit so windows could have been completed back in July, Trim for windows hanging around my house for ~5 months marked up and unacceptable condition to be replaced. I have dogs... Window inspection done and passes, trim reordered (in theory, actually NOT) Door arrives but HD .V installer confusion pushed install another week. Trim install cannot happen since not actually ordered! Today!! 12/18/2020. I have never been more disappointed in the service of any company ever. It's not the local store at fault. If I had a way to tell the nation about this colossal botch job - I would scream it from the roof tops. They suck. Eric. read more
