Every time I go to harbor freight I wonder why I don't shop there more. Their prices are great. The service is wonderful, and you can literally find anything that is even related to tools. Even if I break a tool, it's cheaper to replace it here, even three or four times, then buying from a box store. Prices are reasonable while skipping the middle man. Most items there are made in China... there and practically everywhere else. 2 cashiers manning the tills and we were 3rd in line. It took these people 20 min to clear the line. Service is trash and the quality of their tools are trash. That manager named Maehani will not give my refund or exchange for my "cut off " wheels for my grinder due to bs mask mandate. Infringing on rights of Americans this way is completely unacceptable. Yeah losing 1 customer like myself is trivial and won't impact them but karma does come around somehow. BEWARE: Super glue ripoff. Twice bought a 10 pack of the super glue they sell. Twice most all the tubes were filled partially with air, or some other gas. Spoke to the manager there at the new Lakewood store about the first pack after the Labor Day holiday. His comment to me was, he's never had complaints about this before. I find this hard to believe, since some of the tubes in the 10:pack were only 1/4 full. I brought in two unopened tubes to have them squeeze out a tubes, so that they could see for themselves. Mgr. opened only one of the two tubes after I insisted he do it so that he could see first hand what they were selling. When he did and ONLY because I made a screen at the register, he barely squeezed on drop out, then stopped. He asked me what I wanted. I told him that I needed more glue to finish my Labor Day project that I couldn't finish because the tubes were only partially filled. I got a second 10 pack on that day at no charge only to find that they were only partially filled also. Ended up running out of the glue before the project was finished and used Gorilla glue instead. read more

Coming in Harbor Freight is simple. Shop for what you need, get your coupons ready it could be paper or in the phone . Pay for it then leave. Some pity customers just complain with silly stuff " if you want free items or discounted coupons, pls make an effort to find it yourself. This HFT in Lakewood is a good store. Excellent store...smaller than 6th ave store, but large enough. Carries a good supply of tools. As any tool store, you have to be selective on what you choose. The Selection I saw and have bought has been of good quality for the price. As has been said, good location, easy to get into and out of. Employees have been helpful. Paul the store manager is more concerned about going home at the end of the day then helping his customers. He was super rude from the minute I stepped into the store. He had to remind me they were closing in a few minutes like I was trespassing walking into the store. So I wanted to purchase two workbenches and a tool cart and I had a bunch of clamps, a vice and bunch of other items I managed to get in the 8 minutes I was in the store. Then they make the announcement that the store was closing and to bring your final purchases to the counter. I brought the tag off the workbench and tool cart I wanted to purchase to the lady and she rung me up. When we were about to pay for our purchase my boyfriend asked where the workbenches were so he could start loading it up in the van so the store manager wines that we should've said something when we first came up! He tells us this could've been done 5 minutes before hand and we NEED to do our shopping earlier. Like WTF!?! He's the manager? That explains a lot. read more

This is a low class way to market tools people want.After trying and failing to make purchases at harbor fright in north tacoma, Yuma Az, and now Lakewood wa, I give up on them completely. Amazon has everything harbor fright does , with out the marketing BS. I was in lakewood this am shortly before (, I went in response to this ad I was emailed.First glitch, after I had my harbor fright card scanned, I didn't know if the extra blades I wanted were color coded or not, I am not into retailing,I looked at the blade ratings and price. .I feel Harbor fright should take care of this. Then the reciprocating saw I tried to purchase, for the advertised price I was sent, fell thru, I couldn't produce the ad I was sent in the mail. The clerk said I should download it on my phone, I said I can,but I won't. If harbor fright can't keep track of their ad's, why should I do it for them?(This isn't done on amazon, hint hint) But I'm sure all this can be easily resolved, if I only give them more personal info to sell.
