I'm a single woman homeowner and the service at Eastwood Hardware is invaluable to me! As soon as…read moreI walk in, there is always someone to listen to the repair problem I have, takes me to the section that has what I need. I never get that service at a big box store. Eastwood's prices are comparable and the products are better, in my opinion. I will always go there first!! Great store.

This location used to be a dollar store. I was heading out to the grocery store the other day and needed just a few items for our new house. It could have waiting, but I figured I'd give this hardware store a try, since I was right there. I was looking for three things: numbers for our mailbox, a silver light switch cover (we were one short), and a plastic piece to go over a vent. Surprisingly, I found all three at this little gem. The only downside is that the switch covers only came in brown, cream, and white...no silver for a double switch. No worries. Since they were something like $1.39, I bought one for the time being until the next time I head out to Lowe's or Home Depot. On the down side...unfortunately, I don't think this place will get much business. It's in a bad location and really just can't compete with the bigger box stores. However, I hope it sticks around. The employees were more than helpful and I got a great big smile from the cashier. The prices are obviously a little more expensive than a bigger store, but they were not outrageous. For me, it was worth it to just have to drive a few miles down the road.

The joy a shopping with family and being the chauffer for the day. You go where they need to go and…read morejust go with the flow. My Dad needed to stop here and make a payment (he's still one of those that needs to make the payment in person instead of online). Pulled in and made our way inside. With this being near the holiday season, it was going to be a busy day. Dad went over to customer service to make his payment while my brother, niece and myself went to go check out the holiday displays and what was on sale. I browsed for a bit and wanted to head on into the store to help find the items my Dad was here to purchase. We all headed deep into the aisles and like any other trip to a hardware store, you have to backtrack because everything is so spread out. Those items are place in areas the store believes them to be of liked items, not always in the best place. I ended up wandering off by myself because I find hardware store mind numbing if I am not in here for a reason. I wandered around and found myself in front of the paint counter where I ended up grabbing one of there miniature buckets. True story, the only thing in here that I purchased. I didn't need it, I wanted it. I headed to the line, which was a bit crazy. Standing in line, which had started to weave its way out into the aisle, there were at least three employees standing around the self checkouts. Seeing the line getting longer, of course they opened up more...when I was next in line and everyone behind me had first dibs on them. Once my tiny bucket was paid for, I was out the door faster than I could explain.

A word to the wise. If you are shopping for appliances and a Lowe's employee trues to talk you into…read moreappliances made by Midea. You should vehemently decline. I made this mistake with a woman that i believed knew what she was talking about, and let her sway my original decision. I purchased 3 appliances through this collection. Oven, refrigerator, and microwave. Within the first few months i had issues with the appliances. First the refrigerator ice machine which was faulty, and hasn't worked since. Second was the microwave. I continually had issues with the clock. Not due to outages, the clock was faulty. The last appliance was the stove. It was still under warranty, the repairman cane out 4 different times, at their convenience, not ours. Changed three different parts at separate times, left telling me it was fixed every time, another 3 month span for the next scheduled appt at their convenience, replaced parts, still not working for months on end. Tells me on the last fix, i have no idea. Call the company. Stove is shrieking when turned in like a jet taking off. The broiler will not work at all, because the repairman was a bit confused, my stove was down for about 5 months. Anyway, after he finally stated he had no idea how to fix it, i end up calling the company. Oh.... Well your warranty just ran out. Long story short, i feel i was scammed, lied to, manipulated, detained so that my warranty ran out, and i just wanted to tell everyone else, that these appliances which cost me an arm and a leg are now all defunct, and i honestly would be embarrassed to stand behind these products if i were Lowes, considering i am stating that they talked me into this product, and should be embarrassed that they do not stand behind their product which is ONLY 2 years old. I hate when companies are con artists.

It is more irritating when you cannot find said item and all they offer are hardware items. This location sits on the outskirts of Greensburg right before you enter Jeanette. Kind of in a plaza to itself it looks like an island of concrete. I walked in and went to exactly where I needed to be. What is most irritating is that the selection was rather meek and thus limits me to my project at home. I could resort to shopping online, but I want that instant gratification, I want that item in hand. I selected what I could and went home. Turns out, that even after asking if it was the right item I needed, it was not. I then had to return the item to a store. Oh well, better luck next time I suppose.

After a quick 'back and forth' exchanging info, he insinuated that 'someone was playing games with him' (me) after simply trying to get and exchange information. I had enlisted a different Angi pro for a different assembly that day from a different online store for a different project. When my Anso pro cancelled me for it the eve before scheduled, the next AM I texted the Home Depot pro asking whether he might be available to construct for a different company/project (not knowing whether that might be so). Meanwhile I was trying, and succeeded to find a different Angi pro which I'd paid Angi for online, so told the Home Depot pro (who had not yet answered my question about his availability after my inquiry) that I'd found an Angi pro. He implied that I'd enlisted him a 'second time' and 'cancelled him twice' so 'not interested'. He has very poor customer interaction. I'd sent him pictures of roof work I'd asked whether he could do, and after his two separate accusatory comments to me, I deleted all photos and texts, for I 'do not want him near my house'. He was a total 'jerk' to me when asking him 'simple questions'. I had no intent to 'play games' when accused of that, and had not 'hired' him, when, in my asking 'whether he could be available to construct something from a non-Home Depot store'; so I actually did not 'cancel' him twice as he commented to me. He should not be working for the public. It will take me a couple of days to wipe his personality and interactions from my mind. I hope he never comes to my home town. We have much nicer people here.
