The staff at children's playhouse daycare were super supportive in helping us to transition her into being in daycare. They cook their meals in house and are always accommodating if I ever had schedule changes and my daughter had grown and learned so much in her 3 years there. The teachers and staff are great with the kids and if there was ever any concern are always open to help. She was also able to attend kindergarten full time which is great I definitely recommend

Our daughter has thrived at this daycare, and we have loved all of her teachers. The small classrooms and individual attention from the teachers is a huge perk, and they helped my daughter accomplish many milestones. It was amazing watching her come home having learned new skills and words at daycare. A HUGE perk is that CPD provides breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack, which meant I never had to worry about packing food, and she was exposed to a wide variety of foods every day. We made the difficult decision to move out-of-state in early 2021, and the hardest part was knowing we wouldn't be able to send our daughter to CPD anymore. Of note, CPD took great precautions after they were allowed to re-open in 2020 during the COVID pandemic, and we we always felt comfortable bringing our daughter there, even during this otherwise uneasy time. We love CPD and if they ever opened a location in Southeast NH, we'd be the first in line to enroll.

We toured a lot of daycares in the vicinity, and Odyssey was the cleanest and best managed. We were impressed with their separate infant room, where my daughter started when she was 12 weeks old. We especially like the pedagogical approach--the school seems to focus on emotional and social development and not just rote memorization (memorizing letters). Now with the pandemic, Odyssey's protocols and precautions have been impressive. We at first considered keeping our daughter home to minimize risk (not possible if you need to get work done, it turns out), and even considered transitioning to an at-home daycare, but ultimately we stayed with Odyssey because they are such a well run operation that we really trust that they're following the best practices. Most importantly, my daughter loves going to school each morning!

The teachers are always so positive, patient, and kind, and they genuinely care about the children in their care. Every day for the last three years, they have greeted our son with a smile in the morning when we drop him off. The teachers make every effort to make every day special and exciting. The use of the BrightWheel app keeps us connected to what our son is doing while he is at Odyssey. It's great to see pictures of him having fun with his friends during the day. As a working parent, it's a relief to know your child is loved and cared for during the day when you're not together. Odyssey's program strikes a nice balance between educational activities and letting kids be kids. We're confident our son is ready for Kindergarten as a result of his time at Odyssey, but he has also had a ton a fun there and made many friends. We also sent our son when Odyssey reopened after the COVID-19 shutdown, and we felt comfortable doing so because of the care and effort the team at Odyssey put into planning their reopening. I would never believe a five-year-old would willingly wear a face mask, but somehow, they made it happen. I can't speak highly enough of Ms. Amanda and her staff, and we'll miss Odyssey when our son heads off to school.

That matched our experience perfectly. The tuition is steep - though financial aid is available! - but everything else was fantastic, and we were consistently impressed with the teachers, curriculum, field trips, awareness of kids as individuals, interaction with administration, and more. My mom worked for decades in early childhood education, and (as an interested and involved grandparent) was also very impressed. They welcomed/encouraged heavy parent involvement, from "come into the classroom to talk about something you're knowledgeable/passionate about" to occasional parent-meetups-over-coffee in the morning and more. But I was never, ever made to feel guilty about not being able to participate heavily, which was the norm once we had our second kid. (Who also went to LES for preschool, once old enough.) We can't speak to their K-8 experience, but for preschool/pre-K/TK they were fantastic.

So winter time it doesn't seem like a good idea cause the children were all sick when my son attended the school. You can walk in with your shoes or sneakers on. They do not provide shoe protectors to avoid germs. When I went to pick up my son there were another child's pacifier in my son's mouth. Next day he got sick at 3 months. He's currently 6 months and haven't gotten better because the doctors couldn't give him medication. When I asked the director if my son get tummy time(3 months) she said he's too young for tummy time and that it will strain his muscle. Didn't make sense to me because the doctors made note that the baby do tummy time when he's awake so he can develop his motor skills. The director said that she didn't know that. That was a red flag for me. As I mentioned my son is 6 months now and still struggling to sit up. He has no interest in rolling over. For the little time I have with him I work on these areas as the day care has lack in encouraging him to reach these milestones. The other teachers love my son and of courses care for his well being. But I feel like the curriculum is a bit out dated.

A Truly Special Place for Our Daughter…read more We cannot say enough wonderful things about The Red Apple Daycare in Belmont and, especially, Miss Jing and her incredible team. Our daughter started at Red Apple when she was just one year old and stayed until shortly before her fourth birthday. Watching her grow, learn, and flourish during those years has been one of the greatest joys for us as parents, and we are so grateful that Miss Jing and her team were such an important part of that journey. From the very beginning, we felt that our daughter was genuinely known, cared for, and encouraged as an individual. Miss Jing went above and beyond to create a warm, nurturing environment where our daughter could develop confidence, independence, curiosity, and a love of learning. The team incorporated wonderful, seasonally relevant activities and learning opportunities throughout the year, making each stage of her development engaging and meaningful. One of the things we appreciated most was the daily communication. We regularly received updates, along with pictures and videos, which gave us a window into her day and allowed us to share in all the little moments of her growth--even when we couldn't be there. Those updates meant so much to us and helped us feel connected to her experience at daycare. Another thing we greatly appreciated was the way Red Apple handled our daughter's daily meals and nutrition. Lunch, snacks, and milk were all thoughtfully incorporated into her day, making one more aspect of our busy lives feel seamless and well cared for. It was reassuring to know that her nutritional needs were being attended to while she was at daycare, and it also helped establish healthy routines around mealtimes from an early age. This was yet another example of how Miss Jing and her team cared for the whole child--not just her learning and development, but her everyday well-being and comfort. As our daughter completed the program, Miss Jing made her transition especially memorable. After her last day, she sent home with a beautiful picture scrapbook capturing so many special memories from her time at Red Apple. The team also celebrated her with a wonderful graduation ceremony, which was such a thoughtful and touching way to mark the completion of this chapter. Looking back, we feel incredibly fortunate that our daughter spent these formative early years with Miss Jing and her team. They played a meaningful role in her early development and growth, and we will always be grateful for the love, patience, encouragement, and care they gave her. Thank you, Miss Jing, for going above and beyond and for giving our daughter such a wonderful foundation during these precious early years. We wholeheartedly recommend The Red Apple Daycare to any family looking for a nurturing, caring, and enriching place for their child.
