We were with them through first steps, first solids, first words, navigating a pandemic, potty training, having a sibling, losing teeth, learning to ride a bike and write their name, making friends and becoming self-assured and self-sufficient 5 year olds that were ready to make a seamless transition to Kindergarten. Not only is the facility and outdoor play spaces beautiful, but the school follows a curriculum that is shared each week and brings in outside companies, librarians and more to do specialized activities onsite as well. From bike days to pizza/pj fundraisers, apple pie making for Thanksgiving, to art shows, there was always something to look forward to. When we looked at many daycares when my first child was born, this school stood out leaps and bounds above the rest for having an educational plan in place, not just child care. I can't thank the Goddard School enough for the role they have played in such formative years for my children. The teachers care about the kids like family.

My children have made great friends and many memories. The faculty is kind honest and helpful. Their development has exceeded my expectations and has them fully ready to succeed in elementary school. It is great to see my children have the confidence in themselves because of all they learned educationally and socially. I put both of my sons here and I had to take out my youngest for all of the biting incidents that he had. It was occurring multiple times a week and at times the teachers didn't even notice them. I've observed may occasions the teachers socializing with each other, having their backs turned against the children.

I also have to say the center director, Ashley, is outstanding! I truly can not say enough good things about her. She is always very informative, communicates information about the center often and quick to respond whenever my husband or I have any questions or concerns. She makes herself available to parents at any time. Ashley interacts with the kids and they love her! She is also very organized and when she says she will follow up she does and never forgets. The building is definitely on the older side but the care my daughter receives surpasses everything. Finally, I love that I get daily pictures of my daughter and updates about her daily routine through their Kindercare App.

From learning to crawl and making friends, learning sign language, animal noises and nursery rhymes I am thoroughly impressed with my sons development. I can't speak highly enough of Ms Deanna (infant) and MS Debbie (T1/ T2)). When we started at the school, he had difficulties forming clear sentences. Now he can clearly communicate, knows his alphabets and numbers (in sign language as well), and started doing simple maths! The facility and curriculum are fantastic. The teachers are wonderful and Mr. Dave (owner) and Ms. Shannon (director) are great. Everyone takes such good care of the school. The owner is almost always on site and very responsible to any inquiries and emails. Even the families that have their kids enrolled there are amazing. My son became good friends with all his classmates and loved attending playdates and birthday celebrations. Unfortunately, our family relocated to a different state so my son had to leave. My daughter cried almost every time I picked her up to leave! She then transitioned to the toddler room but still tried to sneak down the hall at drop off to Maria's room for the longest time! Now, she is just over 2 years old and can recite her ABCs, count to 20, almost spell her 8 letter name, loves to "read" and "write" and recite any nursery rhyme you can think of! However the main reason I felt compelled to write this review was when she started to count backwards from 10! Perfectly every time! I scrambled to look up this stage of learning online and found out it was common for four year olds! Of course my daughter is the smartest one of all! But truly this is 100% because of the learning received at Amys Cozy Corner. She loves going to school each day and I have 100% confidence leaving her here. Almost always, Amy is in the toddler room singing to a captivated audience of toddlers. The staff are amazing, consistent, fair and really care about teaching these kids, not just babysitting. I have stacks of amazing art work that comes home every day and I love the fun activities they plan for the kids; most recent was Pancake Tuesday where Mari dressed like a chef and cooked pancakes for the kids! The outdoor play space is great, safe and big enough for the kids. They are great at accommodating my crazy schedule when I'm running late. They are flexible when I need an extra day of care but always check to make sure they have enough staff to cover. If you're considering Daycare in Marblehead, look no further!

In fact, Children's Village turns 50 this year, incredible. Like another reviewer said, CV is best at what matters most - individualized, sincere, caring attention by highly educated and trained people who really know how to help children blossom. I cannot say enough good things about CV and it broke my heart to leave when we moved to NJ. The amazing teachers and the wonderful director, Rupal, are extremely detail-oriented and their love for the children is so apparent every day. Aside from the well-thought out activities and educational opportunities, CV excels at love and holistically developing each child. I could go on and on. The center itself is thoughtfully designed as well to allow lots of natural light via large windows and they don't employ garish, overly-bright colors everywhere that I see in so many daycares. The children get to observe the outside very well along with a calming yet inspiring interior. This is just one aspect of an overall thoughtful, loving plan for the children. The center wants parental involvement and they take their time to get to know each child on a highly individual level. I truly miss CV and its precious teachers and director and I highly recommend it to any parent.
