Do not go here!! My boyfriend and I went here last night and had a really uncomfortable experience. Two other guys near us started fighting, and the bartender immediately assumed my boyfriend was involved even though he had absolutely nothing to do with the situation. He was simply laughing at the chaos like many other people around us were. It honestly felt like he was singled out because he's Black, and the way the situation was handled made us feel unwelcome and embarrassed. Manage expectations! If you're looking for fancy cocktails you're not going to find it. If you're looking for a drink where you taste the alcohol and not so much the mixer you're in the right place. They do have smoke inside so be aware there's an outdoor area that's pretty big. If you wanna watch the game they've got a lot of TV's inside and a TV outside. The staff is pretty minimal every time I've been there's typically only one or two bartenders they're usually pretty friendly. If you're looking a spot to have a stiff drink and watch the game and don't mind smoking this would be a great spot. If you're looking for a stop while day drinking stop here too. read more

This is great 3-star bar in the heart of downtown Safety Harbor! Awesome place for darts and celebrating a coworker's birthday on a Saturday night. They don't carry High Noon's, just to let you know. This is such a great classic bar, they have a large bar, pool tables, darts and a nice outdoor area with corn hole, . The staff is very friendly, drinks are strong with reasonable prices. You can smoke so it is a bit smoky inside. I has d a great time here. Definitely one of the go to places in downtown Safety Harbor. read more

3-18-22 Was in Safety Harbor for a wedding and a party was going on in Downtown as all the streets are closed for a street festival. I am told it occurs on the third Friday of every month. Well this is some party town considering this is the Day after St. Patrick's Day and it looked like the party never stopped. We were heading to another place for a party that we never made as hubby wanted to stop here and listen to the live band outside. What a beautiful evening and the weather was just perfect. Hubby went in for drinks however I passed wanted to pace myself lol. One of my hubby's friends joined us. He got them drinks as well. The wife of his friend didn't like her drink and wanted me to try. I am not a Diet Coke lover with Rum so I passed. It's much better with Diet Pepsi and Captain Morgan. Also they were selling grilled burgers outside. Many locals brought their own chairs. Cute place definitely would stop back on our next visit to Safety Harbor. read more

I was hearing the music from the way other side of Main St. I just had to check it out! This place was packed inside and outside, and the band was playing on the stage outside. Perfect, sort of, but not really!!! Hubby went inside to check it out, and I followed him, but the cigarette smoke slapped me silly in the face. I was outta there in a second. I did manage to see a bunch of pool tables and the bar and the bathrooms on the right side of the wall. Outside the band is playing, and I'm trying to get into it. But.....tooooo much country music for me. I can be adaptable to the surroundings, and have fun. Hell, it's the weekend....but nope didn't work. We left. It's weird unless you're a local at these bars in Safety Harbor the staff will literally ignore you and act like they don't hear or see you. Came in at 10, waited almost till 10:30 after realizing we weren't going to get waited on we left. Would never go back. read more

This is the local dive bar in the heart of Safety Harbor. It has the cheapest drinks and the best specials, which are great when the patio bar is open! However, most nights you will have to brave the smoke filled interior to score one of these cheap drink specials.... & for me it's just not worth the lung damage. The outdoor patio area is nice and they often have a food truck on weekend nights to provide some yummy goodness to the drinking experience. They also always have music playing and most nights a live band. Often times people are playing games on the patio as well! I would recommend checking this place out if you notice the patio bar is open or if you don't mind waiting for drinks in a room full of smoke. I personally don't really understand why any bar still allows indoor smoking. read more

Not a bad place at all! As far as dive bars go, this one is on the nicer side. Very clean, orderly, moderately smoky and had a nice mixed crowd. There were lily-white rednecks, guys in cowboy hats, Hip-Hop kids, 40-something black dudes wearing fedoras, Hipsters with impressive beards, Latinos and young rocker kids all up in this joint last Saturday night. I'm not lyin' either. The TouchTunes machine literally played every thing from Nas and Bon Jovi to Adele and Nine Inch Nails. It was bananas. No food, but they have two pool tables and are cigar friendly! Because of this and their hassle-free diversity, I will definitely pop back in again soon! read more

Rudest bartenders I have ever encountered. They over pour drinks to the point they taste bad, ignore customers,swear, never smile and certainly do not make you feel welcome in any way. Very unprofessional and make you feel like you are bothering them. Times have changed since the old bartenders have moved on. Only thing keeping this place hopping is the music. read more

If you like dark smoke bars this is your place to party. They have two pool tables a large patio area and a good size bar but this is a true dive bar. If that's what you are looking for this is your place. This however was not what we were looking for so we shoved off down the street. read more

Dive bar with a modern vibe. No food served, but they have a bin full of delivery menus from local restaurants. We ordered Papa Johns and had it delivered while we enjoyed Sierra Nevada. The hours need to be updated because they are open on Sundays. We stopped here after a long morning bike ride and I must say this is one of the cleanest dives I've been to in a long time. Yes you can smell residual smoke from the night before but honestly you have to know what you're getting into by the name and exterior alone. Divey bar hang out for most locals of Safety Harbor. It's an oldie but goodie for cheap drinks and good conversation.

Moved here almost a year ago, being that neither me or my boyfriend worked on this side of the bridge, we never really checked out the surrounding bars in this area where we live. We found Harbor Bar and we LOVE it there. I've read other reviews of complaints of smoke but I wouldn't exactly say it smacks you in the face. And again, it's a smoking bar... But there's a HUGE patio outside and even on the hottest of nights, the fans keep it comfortable out there. The service has been A1 every time we have been and we love the feeling of being personally welcomed as we've gone back more and more. The owner is awesome and obviously engaged in every day operations and his passion for the place that so many people love, radiates. We are so happy we've found an awesome place so close to home.
