I am currently a patient here. Medically speaking, they take care of you, basically. The nursing…read morestaff were attentive to basic needs like meds and snacks and water, and most were nice people. The hospital itself SUUUUCKS! They seem to be trying to cut cost everywhere. They no longer offer the large reusable drinking cups. Only small Styrofoam cups to fill the garbage with. I reused mine. The usual plastic wash basin, wet wipes, toothbrush, tooth paste, vomit tray type comfort items are no longer available even for those unable to use a bath or shower. I had to get someone to get me some from Walmart. NOW, the food! A meal plate has an extreme amount of shrinkage! Lets just say the amount of food would not provide a meal to my 3 or 5 year old much less to an adult. I had to use the vending machine or have food brought in, in order to keep from having hunger pains between meals and over night. Oh and the food flavor was horrible as well. An EKG was done, but it was unnecessary for my problem. The tech said they are performing one on EVERYONE they can. It was so obviously the hospital was padding the bill because I had no complaint or symptom even remotely related to my heart. I had to ask if it was to pad the bill and they could not confirm or deny that fact, just that it was policy, not orders from the treating physician. More proof of padding the bill. But after doing it they agreed it was really unnecessary for my problem. I will be reporting that as a fraud waste and abuse being an unnecessary procedure, Like changing the oil in a car for a flat tire. As far as the bed, all hospital beds suck. But mine felt like I was sleeping on a hard floor. And good news germs, check out the pic, my room was only cleaned every two to three days. That's not much considering all of the foot traffic that comes in and out of the room. I had a universal precautions class when I worked at a hospital. They taught that shoes, hands, and clothing can easily spread all those things in a hospital and compromise patient and staff health and safety. Shoes pick up human waste, blood, chemicals, dirt and yes germs. They fall off at random points and can at times travel quite a distance as well before dropping off. Due to my poor health I'm sure I will be in a hospital in the future, but not this one! It's gone down hill fast. I was discharged with an undetermined diagnosis. NEW I had to go to the hospital again Dec4. I went to Floyd for the same issue and the ER was full but I was only there 2 hours and was discharged with a diagnosis and ortho referral. Thanks Floyd.

As an individual that works with the general public in emergency situations, I've seen and dealt with individuals having a mental health crisis. Recently I had a significant family member taken voluntarily by EMS to Redmond for assistance. Redmond does not have on staff mental health Doctors but utilize phone screenings which do not work as seen first hand by Floyd Medical Center. After numerous calls with the nurses and explaining behaviors being observed of a loved one, they continuous ignored our details and ignored the patient even stating to them they were hearing things that others couldn't. A 10-13 was originally placed and then removed because the phone Doctor couldn't observe any behaviors. (Not sure how you can do that over the phone). Needless to say I was left having to pickup this loved one while still dealing with the mental health issue without any assistance from the Hospital. I say all of this to say you need to stick with what services you excel in which is Pulmonary Heart and leave the mental health services to Floyd which is by far more superior and have onsite staff to address and assist the loved one facing this mental health crisis.

I arrived at 9:45 for a 10 o'clock appointment and unfortunately I forgot that when I booked the appointment, she told me to arrive 30 minutes early. I was told when I got there they weren't sure if they would be able to see me since I hadn't filled out the paperwork and didn't get there 30 minutes early. I was lectured multiple times made to feel like a problem. The nurse also lectured me and told me I was told multiple times when I wasn't then rolled her eyes and Smirked! This was at 10:20 then she says do you want a manager? I said yes, she comes in further lectures even though it's nowhere on any of the apps that I was sent. asked me if I wanted to reschedule the appointment because they can't see me now! I said you're kidding right? Do not I repeat do not go to this facility they do not care about their new Patients! I left crying as I have memory issues which was why I was there!

I've been a patient with some doctors with great results and some doctors with poor results. Harbin Clinic management needs to monitor their offices more thoroughly and frequently to see whats going on in them. Some doctor office staff members are very professional which reflects directly on the doctors and Harbin Clinic concerning a particular office. In turn some doctor office staff members are very unprofessional and the office is ran poorly, which this also reflects directly on the doctors and Harbin Clinic. I told one doctor that I had to wait over an hour in the waiting room for my appointment and he told me that I was lucky that some times its a longer wait than that. I was not happy with his answer, so I never went back to that particular doctor. On the other end of the spectrum I've had doctors apologize to me if they are 5 minutes late and of coarse I'm still seeing this doctor. Doctor's, Harbin Clinic management and office staff members in the various Harbin Clinic offices need to realize that the patient's time is just as important as theirs. The office staff should scan the waiting room from time to time and observe if someone has been waiting a long time. If they see this, then they should immediately get up and go out to the waiting room to check on this patient, to see what the hold up is, etc. Harbin Clinic claims to have great and caring customer service, if this is true then start presenting this type care in the many various offices. If Harbin Clinic management was smart they would start reading their own reviews which evidently they do not..........

My first visit with Dr. Bob was longer than I had spent with my previous doctor@4 visits/year for…read more3-4 years. Previous doc walked in, looked at my chart, wrote new scrips (high BP) and if I wanted to discuss anything else, make an appointment! Dr. Bob discussed my family medical history- parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, and siblings. Only then did he proceed with a thorough exam, Rx review, and due to history of heart problems, gave me an EKG right there in his office and went over it with me before I left. If I call them sick, they have never failed to see that same day. If something comes up last minute and I can't make a scheduled appt. I have never been charged. I have gone in for check ups and before leaving, he would say "Anything else we need to look at today?" and I would tell him about a concern I was having and he would come back and check this out, too. I don't just consider him my doctor, I think of him as my friend. And lest you assume I was paid to write this, he has too much integrity to even think of asking a patient to do that!
