Breakfast skillet

Took my cousin here and she loved it they had to reheat her biscuits and gravy but that was okay she lived the Rumchata in her coffee ... and enjoyed her breakfast.. I had the bacon and mushroom skillet with potatoes and toast and a Mimosa everything was so delicious and did not disappoint Stephanie our server provided excellent customer service as she's been for 18 years everyone was friendly and nice. When I'm back in town definitely will be back.

Everything on the menu is good here. Servers are awesome and attentive to the guests needs. On a college Campus at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale Illinois. Give them a try if in the area you will not be disappointed.

Buddy and I went down there to visit. We were students there 40 years ago, and Harbaugh's wasn't there, quite yet. In fact we asked, and it was an arcade before became the restaurant. The food is awesome, the service is friendly, and I highly recommend. Parking can be a bit of a challenge. Definitely add this to your list of places to stop in Carbondale.

Great food! We wanted mimosas but didn't see it on the menu but stopped anyway. Pleasantly surprised they had mimosas and bloody Mary's on the menu. Laura was amazing and all the food hit the spot. Highly recommend!

My sister and I were visiting Southern Illinois and this restaurant was recommended to us by a local. The waitstaff was friendly and the food was good.

What a great find for a late breakfast in Carbondale! We we're visiting the area and popped on Yelp to help us find a worthy eatery.. And this place came up. Can I just say, I LOVE YELP! Seems a lot of businesses here in Southern Illinois are slow to jump on the bandwagon, but clearly those businesses that have a YELP presence are doing well. So there's a parking lot just to the side of the business with 3 hour free parking. A little difficult for anyone who may be in a wheelchair, as the sidewalk is narrow and there's an incline. But short 1/2 block walk to the restaurant. Restaurant is casual and looks like it serves the college students nearby. They have a coffee counter for the caffeine fiends to grab a quick cup on the go. Seating is casual. The staff was attentive and friendly. Prices are reasonable and fair. So many options and so little stomach space! But I'm a sucker for hash and anything gravy, so best be sure that's what I got! And it didn't disappoint! As always, I ate more food than I should have, but it was oh so good! With bellies full, we were back on our way, but we will definitely keep this place bookmarked for future visits!

Egg Plus Sausage and Blueberry pancake

We tried Harbaugh's Cafe due to the already good reviews. Let me say, it did not disappoint. I tried the eggs plus sausage and my sister had the eggs plus bacon. We shared a blueberry pancake. Everything was absolutely delicious. The potatoes were probably the best I have ever had eaten at a breakfast spot. Service was great also.

I want to bring this store back home with me. This is my go-to place when in Carbondale and I have time for breakfast and/or lunch. But to be honest, regardless of the time of day I can eat breakfast for the meal! it was bustling as it always is. We sat ourselves and were greeting and ordered drinks. The Caramel coffee was awesome! When we got our drinks we then ordered. The food came quickly and was great! Everyone really enjoyed what they ordered and the table got a bit quiet as we focused on eating. The coffees and waters were refilled quickly and we were checked on quite often. Everyone around us seemed to be doing OK as well. If you have the time, be patient if there is a line, and stop in for a bite. If you see me there on the weekends feel free to say hi! I'll be there when I am in town.

I was interested in trying their baked treats, and upon my visit, I found exactly what I wanted to get. The menu variety was good. They offer cookies, pastries, breakfast meals, lunch meals like sandwiches, etc. The pricing was reasonable. I got a Pink Cookie (Southern IL specialty), a Chocolate Chunk Walnut cookie, a Date Walnut cookie, something called an Orange Chipper (a type of cookie), as well as an Italian sandwich (called Bakery Sub on the menu). The Date Walnut cookie was my top favorite. It was soft and also crunchy where the walnuts were. The Orange Chipper was my next favorite, followed by the Pink Cookie (iced frosting shortbread cookie). The sandwich was loaded and had a good flavor. The deli meats (ham, and salami) were fresh. The service was good. This was a gem of a find for me and I would go back there again when visiting Carbondale. Definitely recommended.

We took a look at the photo display set up in the front. We ordered at the counter and I asked for advice. The staff member offered helpful input. I ordered the healthiest most delicious porridge. I got a you-pick-two with red pepper soup and a strawberry salad. While I was deciding, my eyes wandered over to the baked goods (this is absolutely a trend with me) and I saw a peanut butter pretzel cookie....whaaaaat? No way this wasn't going in my belly! Then I glanced over to the drink case and I saw....Topo Chico! In Murphysville, IL?!? This place stands out for curating the best in a small town. Now I'm really excited for my lunch! And it did not disappoint. The red pepper soup was roasty and hearty, definitely a good choice for this chilly weather. And the strawberry salad was fresh and refreshing. Does that make sense? The ingredients were so fresh and crisp - sweet strawberries in January I'd no small feat! - but it was light and hit the perfect note as an accompaniment to the red pepper soup. And that cookie? Do I even need to tell you how delicious it was? I didn't even offer my friend a bite. I ate the whole thing and I'm not ashamed. So good! A delicious lunch and nice respite in a small Illinois town. Worth going out of your way, for sure!

The roast beef savory crepe is also tasty -- though a little light on meat. In terms of the milk tea, it is passable. The tapioca pearls are cooked properly, but the tea itself is nothing special. Can be a bit of a wait of course. The menu isn't that big, so it helps keep things running smoother. It's about $5 for a crepe. They have savory and sweet. Among the savory ones, we tried the mushroom. These were good and light enough that we didn't get filled up. For dessert you can get sweet ones. These include fruit fillings and whipped cream on top. Good place for tea and crepes. It's located on University Avenue at Mill Street. They frequently close for school events and vacations.
