Not only are some of the teachers and staff biased to the good students, they are also racist towards and race that's not white, especially asians, African Americans, and hispanics. about 2 years ago when i attended this school, the morning nurse pulled me and my friend aside to ask why we missed school. (mind you we missed school for literally only a day because we both got sick at the same time.) Not only did she act racist towards me and my friend (i'm hispanic and she's black) but she criticized my friend's parents in front of the cafeteria. Not only is that super unprofessional, but obviously embarrassing for the both of us who had to sit through that talk uncomfortably. Another racist act didn't happen to me, but my brother's class. Mrs. Scott (who is now a theater teacher but used to teach 6th grade) called my brother and every other Mexican person in that class a slur. I'm sure with the context clues you can understand what slur that was but it has to do with beans. Anyway, not all staff are bad, like there are some really nice supervisors and teachers but that's about it. just please don't bring your kids here. Everyday that i was here it felt like hell on earth. I was always counting the days left until promotion so i could get out of there.

Let me say that there school security is NOT a traffic controller. It is absolutely illegal to have vehicles block off a major road (Orange St), Not to mention there is PLENTY of parking inside but again, this security doesn't seem to know how to do her proper job and this school's administration seem to like breaking state rules/laws. All it takes is a phone call to the Unified District and the SDE and they'll get an earful. I work for operations for many school districts throughout SoCal and non of the schools have it as bad as this school. Something proper has to be done within state regulations as it is now becoming unsafe and a hazard for parents and children. DO BETTER!!

I give 1 star because Connie 2. However, as I progressed step by step through the application process, I truly realized that Connie is an absolutely terrible person--arrogant and rude. Despite this, I maintained the best possible attitude, as it was my first time applying, and there were many things I didn't understand. The school's website clearly states that if further information is needed, they will contact applicants within five business days. I submitted my initial application on February 5th, but received no response for a long time. I sent emails but got no reply. When I logged into my account again, I discovered that some of my address verification documents were deemed unacceptable. However, by that time, ten days had already passed. I then re-uploaded the documents and sent another email. Since I wasn't receiving any responses, I didn't know what else to do, so I followed up again. When I finally got a reply, the entire email was written in all capital letters, clearly showing anger. She told me she had been on vacation. But if you're going on vacation, shouldn't you delegate your responsibilities to someone else or set up an automatic email reply? How was I supposed to know where you were? I had no intention of rushing you--I was just afraid that my lack of experience in handling this process would delay my child's enrollment. I was just a mother, full of hope, seeking help. But in the end, Connie responded to my inquiries on the registration website entirely in CAPITAL letters and even marked my case as "PARENT EMAILED." Does this mean I was being treated differently? Even so, I still complied with her requests, submitted all the required documents, and made several visits to the office. However, her attitude remained impatient, repeatedly emphasizing how busy she was and how much work she had to do. We all have jobs. You get paid because you have work to do. If you feel overwhelmed, you can always find another job that suits you better. After sharing my experience on social media, I was shocked to learn that many other Chinese parents had received the same poor treatment from her. But most of them chose to stay silent. I don't want to do that. I don't want more parents in the future to suffer discrimination when trying to register their children for school. On March 6th, my landlord and I personally went to the school to submit all the required documents. You told me that you would send me a link before 3 PM, which I had to fill out promptly. That entire day, I didn't do anything except refresh my email. I called you multiple times, but no one answered--even though it wasn't lunchtime. I asked you whether you would be working the next day, and your response was, "Maybe I will, maybe I won't." That afternoon, after still receiving no reply from Connie, I went back to the school in person. When I asked if she had received my email, she said she hadn't checked yet. But when I was about to hand her a printed copy, she suddenly said she had already received it. What a contradictory person. At first, I thought maybe she simply didn't smile at anyone, or that she treated all parents the same way. But that day, I personally witnessed her warmly smiling at other parents--who, of course, were not Asian. I was beyond furious. Was it because I was too ugly? Or was it simply because I had an Asian face? Whenever I greeted her with a smile, she always responded with an impatient expression. Why is it that all of her colleagues are so nice? I've spoken with Christina before, both in person and over the phone, and every time, she tried her best to help. Even through a phone call, I could feel her warmth and kindness. But Connie--why do you make things so difficult for us? If you don't respect your job, don't expect respect from us

Since the new principal took over, this school has gone from bad to worse. There is so much…read morebullying that is overlooked, the noon aids pay no attention to the students, which allows other students to be not just verbally violent, but physically violent to one another. The way they handle things sets kids up to be bullied even more. There is no real conflict mediation. Then if there's a problem with a teacher, it's not properly addressed without putting the parents and the student on full display. The school is operated in such an unethical manner now. The people in the office have the most rudest and disgusting attitudes, except for Mrs Rocio(hopefully correct spelling), she's super nice and always extremely helpful... the teachers here are very mean and act like they hate helping the kids achieve better. They make the kids feel like they are dumb to ask for extra help. They compare other students with the more advanced ones to their faces and that's not okay. A child should never be made to feel less than another. Everything reflects on the principal, who acts like she doesn't know how to run a school and naturally it shows with the way her teachers and aides etc are ALLOWED to run around and act. They deserve a misconduct award. Then when students go to them to try to get help for being picked on, they don't even actively listen and there are no repercussions for the other student, which gives them a free pass to continue picking on students because it's uncorrected and poorly handled. This school has sadly gone downhill since Mrs Alba got there. If you enroll your child here, please always check on your child's mental, talk to them about what goes on daily, make sure they open up to you about the teachers, the students. Etc... and never stop fighting for your child's rights to be protected from any form of abuse. I pray everybody's child who attends here is protected and covered by the blood of Jesus... lastly, I'll state, I pray that all parents stay proactive in their children's life so they will know it's not okay to bully, it's not okay to be disrespectful and walk around cussing and talking inappropriately. Schools have a job to do, but we as parents must also do our job as well. Teach your child to protect themselves as well, because they will encounter much bullying at this school. It's sad, but it's the reality of the way the school operates.

He's since graduated to Kindergarten, but our journey continues with our twin 3-year-olds, who have been at TLE since they were just a few months old. As they've grown, so has our appreciation for the incredible staff who've supported them through every developmental milestone. A huge thank you to Zully, who lovingly guided our twins through their adventurous climbing phase--often requiring what felt like hostage negotiations to keep them off the furniture! Her patience and care made a world of difference during those energetic months. We're also deeply grateful to Zoila and Ericka, who have been instrumental in navigating the potty training phase and helping our twins learn to express their emotions constructively. Their dedication and nurturing approach helped transform tantrums into teachable moments, and we've seen such growth in our kids because of their efforts. TLE continues to be a place where our children feel safe, loved, and encouraged to learn and grow. The staff's commitment to each child's development is evident in everything they do, and we couldn't be more thankful for the role they've played in our family's journey.

This school really gives you a personal family feel, with every single staff member remembering my daughter's name. Every morning she was excited to go to school and happily waved at all the teachers and her new friends. They send you photos and videos of your child all throughout the day so you can see what they're doing/learning and send the kids home with fun artwork almost daily! The small classroom sizes allow teachers to be more focused on your child and their learning. My daughter has developed so much in the past 3 months that she has attended the school in so many different aspects. She comes home daily singing beautiful Christian songs and is eager to bless her food in new exciting ways. Her nightly prayers have also grown more detailed since attending. This school offers amazing faith-based education in a fun and exciting way. Unfortunately, my daughter will no longer be attending TPCS simply because we are moving out of state but I wanted to take the time to let anyone looking for a preschool for their child know that you will NOT be disappointed with TPCS. The flexible hours in the extended day program allowed us to schedule pick ups and drop offs around our work schedule, which not a lot of schools offer. There are 2 things really important for me, great teachers and a clean facility and this place meets both. But I will elaborate more on my experience. First of all my son was potty trained in 1 week!!! I couldn't believe it. 2nd and most of all, ms Elsie is amazing!! She is very Montessori knowledgeable and passionate about its philosophy, so you get the whole Montessori experience. I had looked at many preschools around the area and even chino hills but they were not truly Montessori. She is very kind and patient and that's how she teaches patience to the children, because she models it first. I saw with my own eyes how she resolved conflict among children and I was amazed. I had to take notes quickly! I would sometimes ask ms Elsie advise on how to handle situations and she would gladly advise me so I think I also learned alot... she was like our north star guiding us ... My son learned to write, read sight words, logical sequence, simple math, express his emotions and voice out what bothers him. He also learned to navigate group settings and follow rules. We waited 6 months to get in and only got 3 days half days, but we were happy with that because he was able to learn everything he needed for kinder, and was so ready for it he was not nervous nor cried on his first day. I see preschool mainly as a place to prepare children for big school, academically and socially and he achieved both here. My son was super attached to me and wouldn't even go out with daddy without me. But after a couple of months with ms Elsie he was saying he wanted to go to school 7 days a week. Now he tells me he misses everyone and everything about it, going there, learning, helping, the food... everything . Btw ms Veronica who is also there every day is also wonderful, she is also very kind and patient with the children. I would suggest checking availability early and getting on the waitlist, specially if you have specific schedule requirements... slots fill up quickly
