This school is very bad my son comes home and complains about everything from the breakfast to the playground equipment do better eastvale

Hi, I won't say my name, but I am a 6th grader at Rosa Parks. This school has amazing teachers, but the way they treat non-whites is insane. Some kids use racial slurs, they curse, and they say things they aren't supposed to. Tons of bullying at this school. All they say is "oh yeah you can't do that" or give a warning, but they never really do anything. You can't defend yourself either! If someone hits you, you're supposed to say "you're in my personal space bubble, stop" or something like that. The food here is also disgusting! I have gotten multiple sicknesses and stomach aches from eating some of these foods here. When you don't eat your fruit and throw it away, THEY PICK IT OUT THE TRASH AND REUSE IT FOR THE NEXT DAY. Some of these "noon supervisors" are actually so mean. One of them took one look at a boy with a ponytail (because he had long hair) and she said "Why do you have a ponytail? That's for girls." The bathroom looks and smells horrible, the grass smells so bad, and some of these playground equipment is busted. Honestly, the teachers I've had are the saving grace of this school. read more

This school needs to enforce the handicap parking. They enforce the staff parking regulations, but no one enforces the handicap parking spots. read more

Honestly if this app had an option for zero i would use it. Rosa Parks Elementary is possibly one of the worst schools you could ever send your child to. Not only are some of the teachers and staff biased to the good students, they are also racist towards and race that's not white, especially asians, African Americans, and hispanics. about 2 years ago when i attended this school, the morning nurse pulled me and my friend aside to ask why we missed school. (mind you we missed school for literally only a day because we both got sick at the same time.) Not only did she act racist towards me and my friend (i'm hispanic and she's black) but she criticized my friend's parents in front of the cafeteria. Not only is that super unprofessional, but obviously embarrassing for the both of us who had to sit through that talk uncomfortably. Another racist act didn't happen to me, but my brother's class. Mrs. Scott (who is now a theater teacher but used to teach 6th grade) called my brother and every other Mexican person in that class a slur. I'm sure with the context clues you can understand what slur that was but it has to do with beans. Anyway, not all staff are bad, like there are some really nice supervisors and teachers but that's about it. just please don't bring your kids here. I have been in this school since kindergarden, the education is fine but its whats out there on the playground. The school doesnt focus on the bad kids saying random words but when its the good kids that arent from America its a whole different story. For example you can give someone a pat on the back a little bit hard and they are your friend, you get a citation, meanwhile the other kids say horribke stuff sexual comments and they dont find out and give them a citation for some reason. The good teachers might be the only good reason to attend. read more

the teachers are very rude and also very disrespectful. they do not care for their students, they make my kids cry from how tough they are on them. they are only in the first grade! no kid at this age should be treaded like how my children are. it is disgusting. they also do unessasry things, that are uncalled for. I am absolutely disgusted. The sheer and blatant mistreatment of Asian minorities is insane! This school is new and has a nice campus but the way they treat Asian minorities is repulsive. For a school to have "Rosa Park" in the name and show this kind of behavior is absolutely disgraceful. One of the office ladies was such a sweetheart but the other was rude! I am an English speaker, my mother, however, is not. This lady treated me so incredibly different from my mother it was disgusting. When speaking to my mother she not only rolled her eyes, she didn't even look at my mother while she was speaking!! Do not put your child here if you have any respect towards minorities or the work it took immigrants to get here. I am so disappointed and disgusted by this school's staff. read more

my experience at Rosa parks the past 6 years have been great and my teachers gave my the push, support and encouragement I needed to do what I can and be ok with it. the food at Rosa parks isn't bad and they even have times were they have other things that are good like drum sticks and tater tots. and plus if your kid dose not like the food then have them bring lunch. they also have a jazz band so if your kid plays and instrument then they may join form grades 5th-6th at Rosa parks. read more

I am a student at this school, my name is Anastasia and I'm a 6th grader. Most of the teachers are nice but when i was at book buddies me and my friend were teaching kindergartners when one of them started to pretend to cry because we were having a little fun and it went a bit far. All of a sudden a teacher comes bursting out and starts yelling at us for having a little fun. she started yelling stuff like "MY DOOR IS OPEN AND NONE OF MY STUDENTS CAN PAY ATTENTION" or "HOW OLD ARE YOU GIRLS HUH? YOU SHOULD KNOW NOT TO ACT LIKE THIS". The girl started to tear up because she did not know why she was being yelled at, that girl was put under a lot of pressure for someone that young. I hate when teachers think it's our fault that they leave their door open for any sound to come in. Something else that is wrong with this school is that the food is bad and they run out so quickly! they only buy enough food for kinder through half of 6th grade. My class loses time because they cant shut up! so we are always the last class and we all always end up with their disgusting salads, i do not have time in the morning to make lunch so it would be helpful if the school would help me a bit, obviously i don't expect 5 star food but at least buy enough for everyone. I can't believe there is so much bad things about this school but they expect that you walk away when someone bullies you. In 5th grade i punched someone for calling me a h0e and i almost got suspended while the other person only got a warning not even a citation! The teachers are very nice but the food has made my daughter sick! And she sat a beanie down and someone stole it! This is not the only stolen item from my daughter. She now has to put everything in her bag and it's a mess! this is the worst school and I am absolutely disgusted! I do NOT recommend sending your child here. read more

My son was sick multiple time and also I gave birth to his sister and had no one to take him to school when I was at the hospital and and since I was 4 days pp I took him to school . And every time he was absent I provided a doctor note. I received a letter that principal woud like to meet with me because my son had in excuse absent. I went and I was like I have provided an excuse and a doctor note every time he was absent plus he had a fever and thats the school rules , you won't accept a kid with a fever she responded to me that she is not going to look for each kiD in school if there was a note or no & she checks who was absent for too many days and reequest a meeting, well she wasted my time and I had to find some one to baby sit my 7 weeks old baby who had a pneumonia just bEcause she won't check if we provided excuses and she won't do her job. read more

This school is terrible. It is a ghetto hole in the middle of the suburbs. The lowest rating school in all of eastvale. It should be avoided like a plague. The administrators take the side of the bullies and allow children to be bullied by other students and when a child defends themselves they punish the student being bullied. The administrators are prejudiced towards multiracial and biracial children. They will turn a blind eye when the student is of their favored ethnicity and allow them to harass and bully a student without consequence but when the student being bullied is multiracial/biracial and not their favored ethnicity defends themselves, they are quick to act and punish completely disregarding what the other student has done to the bullied child. The administrators are a disgrace to the educational system and clearly do not belong around children. They should reconsider their positions and look into another line of work where being jaded and lacking professionalism is accepted. Working with children is one of the most important positions that an adult can have. You can impact a child in so many ways. Children are at school more then they are with their parents, that is why it so important to have administrators and teachers who truly LOVE what they do!! We are human but when you let your biases and emotions dictate your rationale and fairness that can be extremely detrimental to a child over the long run. A child can have many positive adults in their lives but that one crummy adult that says, does or decides their fate comes along, that can impact them for life. Okay imma kid at rosa parks but the teachers are amazing and awesome but when a kid gets punched and they punch back then those kids get into trouble and get citations and then you have to talk to the principal but I once was in a fight and I got a citation for defending myself and also the principal said wall away read more
