I wish I was 10 years old again and able to appreciate these good times honestly. My child has been complaining about this teacher treating her students like they're in prison she says. Their backpacks are on the ground outside they hm ant have their water bottles inside the classroom if they go bathroom during class time she takes that time away from recess. She doesn't help the students nor answers any questions. A student is in charge of the table they are in and basically they do all the answering and helping. My little girl cries and is scared of her. My daughter mentioned that they can't write small because she can't see so they write bigger but not too big because it's too big!????? Can I please get her out of that class!! She's not the only one that feels that way I already talked to the teacher and she looks really stressed herself. She doesn't want me to talk to her again. Is it ok that the teacher tells her to stop her friendship with other students? Is that healthy? Does Mrs. zerate hate my child.?? I don't know what to do. The school is good but her !?? As a grown woman call me by my last name like you did when I first picked the phone up!!!!! Very unprofessional!!! she would not give me any reassurance that the other child would be reprimanded or at least spoken to. She laughed when I said this is very inappropriate for a first grader to do what is going to happen with him, she laughed!!!! This woman literally laughed like it was a joke!!!!? Like it's not that serious. I asked several times WHAT the ladies name was who I spoke with, and the assistant principal would not give me her name. She put me on hold so when I called back, they would not give me her name either, so I have taken it up to the school district.!!! I also just got off the phone with the principal who finally got in contact with me 45 minutes later and he seems to only be one sided and has no resolution I would not recommend the school to anyone -keep your kids safe!!!! Eva in the front is also not the brightest.. I'm not sure how she even works there?? I'll just get the names when my sons home from school and go from there. I've seen such a positive change in my son, not just academically, but in his behavior, communication and overall growth. What I appreciate most is how patient and caring the teacher's are. The teachers made him feel comfortable and they were understanding with his progress as this was his first time in that particular setting. He has grown substantially in confidence and academics since starting at the school. My son particularly likes the music program and Mr. Johnson. She has made great friends, learned so much, and looks forward to going to school every day.
